Chris sighed. He didn't often allow his kids to skip out on him while he was speaking to them, but they were so obviously lying he was unsure of what to say. The more he learned of their disobedience, the angrier he became. He understood that Saint had come from a broken home and had a lot of spiritual growing to do, but his own son was a different story. Had they not taught him proper fear of the Lord? Had they not raised him to serve God and only God? Where had they gone wrong?
"Lisa... AH!" He started towards his wife to discuss the matter, but was intercepted by a fish. A large, smelly fish. Can't we just put him in a old folk's home? he groaned inwardly, then immediately scolded himself. He's your wife's father and your brother in Christ....
"Hello, Gramps," he greeted his father-in-law. "Do you mind if I talk to Lisa for a while? We have some important issues to discuss."

On his way to the party, Saint had wanted to call home and apologize to Chris. But he didn't have the nerve. He dialed his cell phone... he listen to it ring twice, then he hung up as he heard someone pick up the phone.

"Don't call to appologize to my parents." Acoine said. He could "read" his friends mind about things like this. "My dad wont be mad at you at all. What street do we turn on?"

"OH" Lisa said in disgust. " Dad, don't hurt yourself, go put that somewhere not inside my house." She told her father as he swung the huge fish in her face. She heard the conversations going on between the kids and Chris, and then Acione and Saint's quick escape. When Chris came in, instead of allowing Gramps time to answer, Lisa caught Chris by the arm and ushered him into a different room so they could talk without anyone bothering them.

((I know text, it's crazy how quick they are!))
"Gramps!" Azalia yelled when she saw her grandfather. She grinned ear to ear at the fish. "Wow, you caught a big one!" She was excited to have gramps around again.

Gramps turned to see Azalia. "HELLO JILLY! Yep back from the great war, because you see. They don't make them like this anymore they all just break after warrenty." He then travelled through the house dragging the fish head along behind him marking the floor. "So we eat fish tonight I gather... Wait what fish?" He questioned looking around ofr a fish.

Chris sighed, relieved to finally have a moment alone with his wife to sort things out. "Something's going on with Saint and Acione," he began, speaking in low tones so no one would hear. "I'm fairly certain they both just blatantly lied to me right now about the smoke smell and about where they were going and what they were doing earlier."

"I know," Lisa admitted, " I don't know what to do about it." she said, looking down at the floor, she was usually so sure of what to do, and not know now made her feel like she was ashamed of herself. "Should we talk to them or what?" Lisa asked Chris, looking up and meeting his eyes.

"Well, let's pray first," Chris said. He wasn't entirely sure of how to handle the situation either, but he knew that God gave wisdom to those who asked. He took Lisa's small hands in his, bent his head, and closed his eyes.
"Lord," he prayed, "we thank You for the family You've given us. We feel so blessed that you would grant us with such wonderful children and loving relationships. But Lord, we have a problem. We have tried our hardest to raise our children to live in Your light, but we're afraid that Acione and his friend Saint have strayed from You. We're not sure exactly what is going on, Lord, or how to deal with it. We pray that You would give us the wisdom to know how to handle the situation and help us figure out what's going on and how to stop it. Most of all, Lord, we pray that Your will is done."
Chris paused before closing in case Lisa wished to say something.

Lisa bent her head when Chris did, and repeated the words of his prayer in her mind as if saying it as well, so that she understood every word and didn't miss anything. When Chris paused, she knew he was waiting for her, but she didn't say anything, just squeezed his hands to let him know that she wasn't going to say anything.
((Hmm..that seems repetitive of me...not to mention short..urg at myself))

Azalia smiled and rolled her eyes at Gramps. She found him funny, as opposed to many others who just thought him crazy. They just didn't know any better. "The fish is in your hand, Gramps."

"OF COURSE IT IN MY HAND!" He would burst with a chuckle taking it outside and laying it onto the table. "Shall we get started on the operation Jilly?" He asked looking down at the fish rather seriously then back to her.

"It's in Your Son's name we pray. Amen," Chris finished. He looked up to meet Lisa's eyes but didn't let go of her hands.
"Well," he sighed, "we don't really have any specific evidence that they've been doing anything, do we? So I guess we can't punish them until we catch them doing something. But we could sit down and talk with them."
