"Yes Sensei!" she said in an innocent tone. "Gomen!" she bowed and got back into her stance. She twirled her Sai's again and got her hands warmed up then charged towards Humbra. She leaped into the air and slashed with one bokken then front flipped over sensei and with her back facing him flipped her sai over and stabbed behind her.

Annie continued to remain curled up in a ball. She sniffled for a few more moments and turned to Kinzo. Her pink eyes went up to her fellow student. A small tear ripped from her left eye just then, a tear that splattered on the ground a split moment afterwards.
She brought up her left hand to the man's extended arm. She'd grip Yamura's hand as she began to stand up. Whilst she stood up, though, anyone who had watched the previous match would be utterly baffled. There wasn't a single mark anywhere on her body. Not a single marking was on her arms, and not a single marking was anywhere where her brother had hit her. Odd.

He took another step back, shifting his presence away from the down-coming sword. His eyes watched the student rush against him, and how she was doing fairly basic things. Forward attacks. Jumping into the air to gather more 'upmfh' in her downward attacks. Simple things.
However, it wasn't till she had flipped over Ugu he realized that Mai wasn't just 'playing' in her fighting. She seemed to be actually fighting, albiet at a low level of focus.
While she stabbed at Ugu's back the large teacher would turn to his left. He would, first of all, attempt to trip his student with his left foot as he shifted his 200+ lbs of flesh. In an effort to trip her he would also attempt to grab hold of Mai's sai/bokken. "You turned your back again, Mai."

Mai attempted to jump over the trip it was highly unlikely she thought the teacher wouldn't be as fast. She trips and falls onto the floor. She then realises the teacher attempting to grab her bokken, she quickly gets up and tries a sidestep to evade it. "Gomen, I can't stop doing that sweatdrop It's just the way I fight" she told him.

To Ugu's left was Mai. To his right was Kinzo and Annie. His eyes shifted to his left as he listened to the girl's excuse. "'The way I fight' is a fairly interesting way of putting it. I'd call it 'suicide' if I was facing an opponent who was out to kill me." The shinigami's green eyes went to Mai, harrowing upon her speed-focused frame.
"You don't seem to have mastered yourself."

"Hehehe" she laughed innocently as she began parrying. She was trying her best to bring down her sensei but he was quick and powerful.
Mai's Hp: 20- 6 =14
She rushed up at him again and then stepped to the side feinting a slash, then she jumped back and tossed one of her bokkens at him.

Kinzo looked to Annie as she stood up. "I've got a test to pass, so excuse me." Kinzo spoke it quietly as he saw Mai's bokken fly through the air. He grabbed his bokken and began running low, so as to miss the bokken from hitting him in the range he was about to get into. He reached top speed quickly, and ended up at a different angle from the flying bokken, coming from the floor up. He thrust his right hand upwards, the three and a half feet of wood plunging towards their sensei. He didn't like taking advantage of his own sensei, but he had allowed them to work like it. As usual, his left hand wasn't on the bokken and was instead helping him maintain balance, being so close to the floor without falling. "This should advance quickly, with both of us working together."

Ugu swatted away the oncoming bokken, and slid Kinzo's through a simple parry. His eyes went to the two students that were now in front of him, and who seemed to be alingned in their attacks. "Good. Teamwork," he said, bluntly, as he'd jumped back.
"Now try again. I need to get more information on your skills so I can give you two your grades."

Mai jogged over to pick up her bokken which she threw. She twirled them and got ready to attack Ugu-san. "Yes, Sensei!' she said delightfully, as she shifted her foot to get ready for a series of attacks. She looked at Kinzo and smiled.
Mai then rushed towards Ugu with her two bokkens to her side, she flipped over Ugu feinted a slash and rotated, she then slashed with one of her bokken's. Mai then moved back and ran through Ugu with a slash. She landed on the other side and turned around to prepare for a counter attack.

He nodded as he saw Mai's attempt to move behind Ugu-sensei. "I may need to try out something new." He stood up after his previous attack had failed, placing two hands on his sword, shortening his range but expanding his strength. "He may, or may not, be ready for this. Let's just hope we can trick hi mfor Mai's sake." He made to slash at the sensei. Instead, he purposefully missed out of range, and spinning with the horizontal slice, he thrust a high kick towards Ugu's abdomen.

Ugu's bokken sped upwards, tipping its edge to his right to block Mai's initial attack. After she feinted he turned his wrist by half an inch, and stopped the slash. Then, as she strove out at him in a quick 'ruroni stab' tactic, he took a step to his left to dodge the odd use of energy.
The teacher watched his student's bokken go off in a wayward direction. And as Kinzo's kick came forth, Ugu took another step to his left. Dodging both of the strikes he then took a massive step toward Kinzo. He closed the minute gap between them with one of his large behemoth-steps.

"Almost good, you two. However, it seems you need more practice to sharpen your skills." Ugu raised his bokken and aptly slashed downward upon Kinzo's head. The stick then returned up, and back down, in another downward motion. After the second strike the shinigami repeated the same movement over, making for a third attack.
His eyes went down at Kinzo from his heigh of 7'1 feet. "You two should, frankly, learn more about teamwork. It's like you're not even trying."

((I allowed the first attack to make it's mark, only because no matter what I may roll on the first dodge, it cannot overcome your 18+17, even with a miniscule +4 bonus. No matter, though, I rolled the dice anyway.))
Ugu's attacks were massively strong, Kinzo could give him that, but they lacked enough speed for Kinzo to be incapable of following, even if his reactions were late. As soon as Kinzo had spun all the way, he felt the sword hit his head. The headache wasn't forming immediately, and through the chaos of the fight the pain hadn't stopped all of his reactions to stop. He moved his sword down on the second strike, and up again on the third, each time hoping he could successfully block them, and it seemed that it may happen in Kinzo's case.

Kinzo knew that hakuda wouldn't benefit him in a zanpakutou match, or earn him points on the test. Instead, he couldn't help but use two hands this time to make a strong force at the man's side of the head.
