Gahhh! *cries* that Saturday... I've tried to block it from my memory... it hasn't worked yet.
We were a good.... 2 hours away from school at a competition, it was a lovely day. Clouded over, raining, cold as death... it was wonderful. Well our bds said we could stay on the bus until practice. We did... but we froze anyway, at least we weren't wet. Then we got dressed and had to go out into the darn freezing rain and had to fit our 200+ people in a small private (we suppose) parking lot. There was an insane dude living there and started yelling at Mr.R that he worked nights and couldn't sleep with our noise, then he mentioned the shotgun (we didn't hear the rest of that.... Mr.R wouldn't for our sake I suppose) but we had to wait for a new place to move, all the while our fuzzy hats were dying, our gloves were soaking, and we had an insane dude getting mad at us. Well finally we got to move away and we started practicing, and me with my lovly way of holding on to things, dropped one of my gloves. It was now soaking on the ground, gahhh it wasn't fun to try and get on either.
Then we had to march down to the field, rain now making rivers at the side of the darn street, wind blowing relentlessly, cold as death, and we are not happy. We finally get down there and have to wait for 20 min!!! gahhh I about killed people, I was soaked and cold, all of our hands were frozen within the darn gloves that were all soaked through now and our intruments were slowly dying. By the time we could acually play we didn't even care anymore, we tried, we sounded horrible (we couldn't play, between shivering and the pads all sticking together) and we all didn't have the fire like we usually do when we performe. Well when all was said and done, we had girls crying cause their hands were killing them, boys as well now that I think of it. And when I finally managed to peel the gloves of my hands they were bright red, I pinched them and they turned white (and wouldn't turn back I worried about that...)
We somehow managed to make it to finals but Mr.R (bless him) didn't want to put us through that again and we went back home. I never knew I could love my highschool so much *sob* but yeah that was a pretty horrible da for us (put in mind we usually have nice calm days)

Mmmm marching in humid, hell-like conditions for 5 hours in the summer is always a blast! We always host an invite the day after our homecoming dance, so everybody feels like utter crap and don't put any effort into anything. Also, the field we were supposed to march at one compitition, got attacked by rivals the night before, resulting in burnt profanities into the grass, and we ended up having to do a stand-still. Ugh stand-stills...

I think our worst conditions were durring our Halloween parade.
Well, everything started out fine. As usual, we marched up the street. Just as we passed the bank(Which is near the beginning of the parade), it began to rain. Marching in rain is bad enough, I think. We deal with the rain for a little, but soon the wind begins to pick up...blowing against us. Then the worst happened; the rain turned into sleet. We had at least half of the parade to go, and we were all freezing. Keep in mind that I am in the last line. gonk

Marching in hurricane was pretty fun. I thought the trees were gonna fall on us.
Marching when part of the forest near our field was on fire was fun too. The wind blew ash into our eyes.
The worst was marching when the weather forcast said '50 degrees' but it ended up being just below freezing. Cases were frozen shut. Some instruments were frozen together. People were passing out. Fingers were immobile. We literally went onto the field and just marched. Didn't play or nothing, just marched.

I live in Texas, so during summer band it's all hell. Literally. D: Last year, our practice days would hit near the three digits. Even during school days. As soon as we had our football games coming it would better. :] For me, I love to play at night instead of playing in the sunny temp at BOA.
My worst experience for[since I'm a freshman] so far would have to be a rainy day of practice. Cold+rain+wind=not a happy camper.

worst condition for us was one game where it rained right before we got there and the school's track was made of clay,so it stuck to everything(this lady walking around got her shoe stuck in it) and the field had grass that stuck to everthing too,and then these HUGE bugs came out of nowhere and kept flying into people instruments.(and once a helmet)

the worst conditions we marched in was at the pacific coast invitational in 2005. we had to cancel the end of the comp because too many marchers broke their legs on the field which was made of sand and had 8 or 10 inches of mud on top with no grass. it was pretty bogus.

last year at one of the last football games, it was pouring rain and about 30 degrees outside, with the wind howling and puddles everywhere. we all fell or tripped or slid at least once, haha

during band camp we had to practice in the pouring rain every day......the mud got so bad our legs were covered in it and the ground had to be covered with lots of tarp and kitty litter{ not the best thing in the world, it only acts like quicksand}!!!!!!!!!then all season it was either freezing cold with light rain, raining, near snowing, sleet, or wind so cold it seemed to cut through the many layers we all wore.

Phew, worst would have to of been last winter, final game of the season, the championship. 45 m/h gusts of snow filled wind ontop of a mountain. Was about -12 degreese, my trumpet was actually warmer than my hands, and the oil actually froze inside the valves (Yea, we still played, not very well though xD!). See, all you guys have it easy with rain, and sun, its the cold and snow that are hell, rain is actually quite fun imho. But I can see how heat could be bad though. Marching in Flordia for a Disney parade, we actually had two of our low brass pass out on the two mile march to the start of the parade, then a trumpet almost fainted half way into the Magic kingdom. Then I nearly blacked out along with several others on the way back. 125 degreese, woll uniforms. (being up north sucks)

Worst weather conditions I've marched in would have to be last year on Memorial day. It's always pretty bad, but a few last year was the worst. The sky was perfectly clear, and it was right around 98 degrees outside. After marching the first parade of the day we got to stand in the middle of town in the sun and listen to several rather long speches, while holding our instruments, and while wearing our full uniforms which happen to be navy blue. From there, we proceed to march two more parades in neighboring towns. A minimum of three people pass out every year. The final count that that year was over seven, though I never did hear the final tally. I hate the memorial day parades.

Well, we had 100+ degree weather at band camp, we had tornado sirens go off at practice twice, and it rained so much that our practice field was more suitable for mud wrestling than marching.
And then, if that wasn't bad enough, the temperature at state finals was so low that the spit I was blowing out my horn froze in my bell.
And then we went to England, where it rains everyday.
