I remember that, cause Yoh and the others were freaking out about the weightless flight. blaugh

Oh, geez, I wish we got to see him putting himself back together in the manga! I like how he broke his neck, but was still able to stitch himself up. whee
There are things that don't make sense, though. sweatdrop Like, in Yoh's fight with Faust in vol. 5, he replaces one of his bones with a skeleton's. Since dead bones are brittle and porous, whereas living bone tissue is spongy and, well, living, this wouldn't have worked unless whoever's bone he took was VERY recently deceased.
Also, in an extreme act of devotion to Eliza, he gives her both of his legs from the knee down. This wouldn't have worked, because male and female tibias are actually shaped differently; I believe that men's tibias are straighter and female tibias are slightly curved. It's not a big difference, but it's enough to prevent the bones to fit together right.
Also, anyone whose ever been on morphine (WHOO-HOO!) knows that it's hard to even stand up straight, let alone talk coherently or practice surgery. I think that Takei makes Faust act high enough in most parts (at least before he's reunited with Eliza), but a friend of mine read the first battle and said, "Nope, no way he's even AWAKE." rofl
But, Faust is Faust... he can do anything!

Very plausible but I wouldn't put it past him.

Sorry to say that but it does seem highly possible. And Tin you're right on the bone replacement! How in sam hill did he do it? Giving himself a skeleton bone and then giving his legs to Eliza, ugh. Even with morphine I'm sure he would be able to feel that.

He did it very carefully, I guess? Still... That DOES sound painful...
(POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT... I think...) I like how he randomly burst out into song in the manga, and Manta faints... I don't know why, but... Something about seeing Manta in Faust's lap is so wrong... Yet, it makes me happy.

I know. Anyone who says FaustXManta is going to get fury from me, but I agree that they seem to share a special bond. I think that since Faust is a polar opposite of Manta's dad, he's projecting a little onto Faust, seeing him as a father figure. I'm actually writing a fanfic focusing on this relationship.
