Diana looked up at her briefly, wondering what she was saying thanks for. She shrugged it off and finished scanning the books. "$425.75," she said quickly. "Do you want a bag?"

"Yes please. I forgot my bag back at my apartment." Aroura sighed. She might have to call her parents for a bit of help, but she didn't want to.

Diana nodded adn started putting the books in the bag. She looked up for a moment and spotted the crazy guy from earlier. She quickly went back to her work, a little tenser than she liked. When was that guy going to leave?! Was he just a deranged stalker or what?

Aroura took the bag and walked to the door, passing infront of the crazy proffesor. She tripped, pourposefully, and went sprawlling on top of him. She gasped and feighned innocence.
"Oh!!! I am sooo sorry about that! I have to be more careful...I am soo sorry...." She then yelped because she had bent one of the books. "Oh no!!" She groaned. "This was my most expensive ones......" She pouted. "I was looking forward to it too...." She held up a mangled copy of a physics book. True tears welled up in her eyes as she lowered the book.

Diana sighed loudly. She wished people were more careful with their books. The man she tumbled into fumbled around, unable to say anything decisive. "I'll pay for a new one! I swear!" He obviously hated making people upset or cry. Just then another customer came up to Diana's register with a stack of books. It was going to be getting busy again, she knew it, so she tried to ignore the scene in front of her with the strange old man.
((Sorry for not posting for so long!! Please, let's pick up where we left off adn try to get it going again. Remember, you can play these weird guys too. Frankly, I forgot the dude's name! sweatdrop ))

Aroura sniffed and nodded. She shrugged. The man blinked and looked her over. She seemed to be vaugly famiiar. He shrugged it off and bought her a new copy with the cd. Aroura was thriled. She thanked him and went on her way.

Joshua nodded and smirked.
"I found a few that feel like them but not the ones we are looking for. And," He sighed. "I Ran into Aroura a bit ago."

Aroura walked out of the store and was set upon by Hendrix. He had been watching her from where he had left her at the register. He had recognized her from the other night.
"Excuse me Young Lady but may I speak with you?"
Aroura had been waiting for this. She turned and looked at him. She smiled.
"Yes sir?"
He motioned to a less busy part of the sidewalk. He tilted his head.
"I saw you last night at the attack, did I not?"
Aroura grimaced. She would have to deal with this one way or the other.
"Yes. I am Star. But be quiet about it." She laid a warning hand on his arm. "I need your help to find the other girls. We need them, soon."

Joshua had seen Aroura be set upon and walked over close to the two. Quote: "I saw you last night at the attack, did I not?" The man said. Joshua shook his head. Aroura had been studying. He had tried to call her and that was the message on her phone. Quote: "Yes. I am Star. But be quiet about it." Joshua's eyes widened, and he nearly fell over. This could not be! Aroura was Star?!!

Hendrix nodded vigorusly.
"I will do all you say, Star. Or should I call you somthing else?"
Aroura shook her head. This was annoying.
"I have to go. When I give my name it is to those I trust fully. Now leave me alone and I will be in contact with you. Later professer." She walked away and back into the crowd. She bumped into some one.
"Oh sorry I wasn't.....Joshua?"

Joshua noticed that Aroura had run into him. He steped back and muttered a 'Sokay.....' then walked off. He didn't want to scare her. He stopped a few blocks away.

((Ok...sorry I dropped off the face of the planet... sweatdrop I'm back though! Let's get to the exciting parts again! biggrin ))
"Anyway," Kat continued, when her friend Jason didn't respond, "I've got to head home. The muffler just needs to be reattached, but I've already stayed well past my shift, and as much as I like overtime pay, I'm sick of being the last one out of here every single night."
"Well," he hesitated slightly, "why don't you go and wash up and change back into your street clothes, and by then I should be done and I'll walk you home. How's that sound?"
Kat nodded, grateful for the company. She wasn't scared of the dark or of getting mugged or anything, as she could take care of herself plenty well enough. Still, having some company, especially of the male variety, made her feel special.
They chatted about cars as they made their way toward her apartment, and Jason had just started an argument over whether rotary engines were better than cylinders, when Kat halted quite suddenly. She had just spotted Diana in the bookstore across the street, and she had an inclination to go and say hello.
"Hey, come on, let's take a detour," she jerked her head toward the bookstore and he followed her in. "Hey Diana," she smiled shyly.
