Moonstar had told Shallowpaw that she could go gather the herbs and sat there, glancing at all that was around him.
He saw Skyheart approach and nodded his head to him in the formal greeting of a leader to a leader. He noticed that Skyheart seemed a little uncomfortable. When Moonstar heard what Skyheart wanted to say he was annoyed at himself for not thinking of that right away.
"Of course we can." He said quickly. "As soon as you know that Rainfoot will certainly live, you should go to the moonpool and we'll leave some of our warriors here in case Tornstar comes back." He paused as he saw the pain in Skyheart's eyes. "I'm sure she'll live. And I'm also sure that you'll be a great leader."

(Moonheart has to go to the Moonpool to with Skyheart because thats what they did in the book)
Moonheart went up to skyheart and asked when well you be ready to go to the Moonpool

Skyheart's ice-blue eyes lit up with joy. "Thank you Moonstar!" Skyheart's energy felt renewed. He was very grateful that Moonstar continued to support him. He mewed a quick goodbye and went to check on Rainfoot. He walked over to Moonheart and asked how she was. "If you think she will be okay then we should go to the Moonpool as soon as possible." Skyheart looked affectionatly down at Rainfoot's body and was relieved to see her chest rising and falling with even breaths. His spirits rose, Moonclan's future was looking up. Skyheart sent a silent thanks to his warrior ancestors for all they had given him and Moonclan.

Moonstar breathed a breath of relief. Things were going well at last. They could have chosen to not help Moonclan and they would all be healthier and no one would be hurt. But Moonstar would have changed it for the world. These cats were great friends and he hoped that it would continue to be that way.
In the back of his mind the thought lurked that the other clans wouldn't want Moonclan with them. Earthclan and Fireclan might join up against Moonclan and Waterclan.

Ok i think she will be okay said Moonheart. (can we go to the moonpool tomorrow its thaksgiving today so i cant play today.)

Shimmerpelt went over to Shallowpaw.
"I'm so proud of you and your sisters!" she meowed. "Although I think you shouldn't have been in this battle with no training!"
Starwhisker started to wash Ebonywhiskers fur which was dusty from the battle.
"StarClan, Please help Rainfoot recover..." she whispered.

Snowystream walked up to Skyheart and gave him a playful push."So clan leader what do you think about going to your first gathering?"She looked down at Rainfoot and a littled doubt still remained.Something's not right about this.That hit should have killed her but it didn't.Snowystream walked over to Mosspelt."Mosspelt?What's wrong with Rainfoot?She's breathing ok but something doesn't feel right."She wispered to her friend so Skyheart wouldn't here her.

Leafheart padded up to Mosspelt do you think Rainfoot will be okay?
Moonheart padded over to Skyheart when do you want to go to the Moonpool? she asked.

Mosspelt wispered back to Snowystream,"Yes, that blow should have broken her neck, yet she isn't dead I belive that Starclan may have something huge planned for her before she joins them. I just don't know,"She looked into her friend's eyes, seeking comfort in their long friendship. Turning to Leafheart she timidly said,"Rainfoot may survie, she may not, all is up to Starclan now. There is nothing more that we can do, except keep her warm and hope that she is alright." She had meowed it loudly to make sure that Skyheart heard her. Turning to Moonheart she added,"While you journy to Moonpool with Skyheart, I will stay here to help with Rainfoot and any other injury's that you clan have recived. If you don't mind of course."

Skyheart blinked gratefully at his friend Snowystream. "It's good to see you again!" he mewed. "I think the gathering will be.." he paused, "-interesting." Skyheart studied his paws. "I know that Moonstar is worried that Fireclan and Earthclan might not accept us. I had the same worry...." he trailed off. When Skyheart looked up he saw Moonheart padding twords him. "When will you be ready to travel to the Moonpool?" she mewed. Skyheart cast a worried glance at Rainfoot's body. "When Rainfoot is okay." he replied. He could see other cat's worried faces. His fur prickled when he thought of her.

Ebonywhisker's overheard that Skyheart was going to Moonpool and volenteered,"I could look after camp while you and Moonheart are gone." He added in a wispering hiss,"I could also look out for any unwelcome visitors, should they decide to come back. You should probobly get your lives before the much anticipated surprise attack." He looked in reverence up at his leader,"I would be proud to help you Skystar."
(My character insits on calling Skyheart that, because he is elated that Skyheart will be the new leader of Moonclan)

Snowystream purred at Ebonywisker."We'll take good care of Rainfoot for you won't we Mosspelt?"She looked at her friend and sending her a nodd your head look.Snowystream backed up as the calico cat she had meet earlier came running up to them.
"Great Starclan what happened to Rainfoot!"Tenderfoot nearly yelled running up to Rainfoot.She took a few herbs from Mosspelt and dressed a wound that had been overlooked.Tenderfoot's motherly instincts had her taking care of Rainfoot like a kit.Grooming her fur and laying next to Rainfoot she asked Starwisker,"Would you go bring the kits out?They haven't gave me any peace since this started.Plus this'll be their first time out of the nursery."Starwisker returned from the nursery with three kits trailing behind her.They all ran up to Tenderfoot asking questions."Mommy what happened to her?"and adventurous kit asked leaping over his mother.
"These are my kits.Reedkit, Willowkit, and Moonkit."Tenderfoot said shooing Reedkit away from Rainfoot."But momma . . "
"Starwisker!"Tenderfoot said agitated as Snowystream helped her chase away the kits who started play fighting near the nursery.

((when Skyheart goes to Moonpool, is it okay if he sees a vision of a battle between Fireclan and the other clans? I think SparklyButterfly prophisised that earlier on the Fireclan thread. It would also give them something to do. Earthclan can certainly join too. biggrin ))
Skyheart blinked gratefully at Ebonywhisker. "I'm glad I can count on you." he said. "You too, Snowystream." he mewed. Just then he noticed a commotion going on where Rainfoot was lying. Tenderfoot was gently nursing Rainfoot while her kits were bouncing all around her. Skyheart, dispite his grief that RAinfoot was injured, let out a mrrow of amusement at the sight. His heart filled with happieness whenever he saw the newborn kits playing. He mewed a thanks to Tenderfoot for all her help and then got up to find Moonheart. The sun was starting to sink lower in the sky and if he wanted to get to Moonpool before dark, he must find Moonheart and set off imediatly. He found Moonheart and mewed, "I'm ready when you are."

"Kits!" Starwhisker mewed. "Your poor mother doesn't need that right now"
She started to flick her tail for the kits to play with away from Rainfoot.
She looked up and bowed her head to Skyheart, "I hope you have a good journey"
Shimmerpelt went over to Snowystream "I can help take care of Rainfoot" she mewed to her friend.

Skyheart smiled at Starwhisker and returned her bow. "Thank you! It is good to know that Moonclan will support me." He then turned back to Rainfoot's sleeping form. "Shimmerpelt, Snowystream, is it possible to move Rainfoot to a more sheltered area?" he mewed. "Maybe over there." Skyheart pointed with his tail over to some bushes. It wasn't the same as a proper Medicine cat's den, but it was better then in the middle of the battlefield.
