Vade quickly made his way down the street and ducked back into a restaurant.
Bartender-"From the sounds of it you met old Master Lin. Im surprised your still standing... Care for more tea?"
Vade-"I'll pass..."
Vade walked out the door and continued on his way.
Vade wandered around the city looking for other benders.

Opening his door, he noticed a paper-wrapped package on the floor. Tsuchi took it inside and untied the bindings.

He picked up the grey top, "A uniform?"

He slipped his arms through the sleeves of the gray top; tying the white belt off in the back. He stepped infront of the mirror to have a look. Not a bad fit, he thought to himself. Tying his handwraps, he continued to put on the black socks that came with the top. The fabric felt cool from being outside of the room all night. Wiggling his toes, he took a look at his feet before slipping into his shoes.

Heading down the small flight of stairs, he opened the door to see the same girl.

"Good morning!" Tsuchi greeted her as he walked around to the front of the counter.

"Good morning," she replied in a sleepy tone, "I see that the uniform fits you just right!"

He smiled, pulling up on the back of the collar, "Yes, so what exactly will I be doing around here to pay for my room and board?"

Smiling, the girl took him to the kitchen and showed him the storage room within. Apparently they were lacking physical labor.

"I'm sorry we don't have anything glamorous for you," she said as they walked back to the counter."

"Don't think anything of it," Tsuchi said reassuring her.

Willbrand
Dav Smiled wider. "Ah, a kindred spirit. I too am a bender without a master. I haven't had formal training in almost 3 years now. Back when I still lived in the North...ern..."

Dav slowed down as he thought about what the girl had just said A firebender, a rouge one even, would normally recieve an even colder welcome there than in Ba Sing Se...

"Why would she go to these places?" Dav thought as he refilled her glass and his own with tea.

"So, what brings a pair of aspiring benders so far around the world?" Dav asked, studying the two of them closely.

After a while Vade saw what looked like an Earth Nation soldier sitting with a young man who seemed to hold great prestige and culture, and a young lady who seemed to hail from the Fire Nation.(they were quite a conspicuous group indeed) Vade threw around the idea of introducing himself, perhaps the soldier would help him spar and practice with him, but before he could make his mind up they got up. The soldier seemed very eager to show the others something, and though the young man seemed reluctant to tag along they all set off as a group.

Vade was about to carry on his own way when he noticed that a large man who had been sitting quietly in the corner got up and seemed to be following them. He didn't know who he was, or why he was so interested in these people, but he didn't trust it at all.

Vade decided to follow him, staying back a good 20-30 feet, he would quietly brows through the shops, while keeping an eye on this shady figure. The man on the other hand didn't seem to notice him in the least. He seemed to watching the three very closely, making little effort to conceal his actions. The three seemed to be completely oblivious. The soldier seemed to be leading them to his barracks, but he lead them past them, over to the outer walls. It is here that they located a strange door, and that seemed to take two of them to open. Vade was surprised to see that the soldier was actually a water-bender...

"Aww... I guess we won't be able to train together... but I bet we can spar..." he mumbled to himself.

After the three entered what seemed to be a subterranean tunnel the shady figure seemed to bend the corner of the door so it could not shut all the way. He then approached the door slowly and then waited by the door peering inside. After about 15-20 minuets the man entered the tunnel. Vade quietly approached the tunnel, the door was still ajar. He peered inside and could see a long dark corridor and a light from a doorway at the end. He could see the shadow of the man jogging down it.

Vade made his way quietly down the corridor. The man had made it to the room and he could hear fighting up ahead. Vade quickened his pace and came upon the door just in time to see the large man being thrown through it. Luckily the man got up too quickly to even realize Vade was there. The man charged back into the room and stood at the bottom of a hole. Dirt was steadily falling out of the hole, and Vade could only guess that the three had some-how burrowed into the ceiling. The man was taking a strong horse stance and was concentrating on the hole.

"Now that just doesn't seem to be fair... that big guy chasing those three, maybe I should make things a little more even..." Vade chuckled to himself as he began to center himself in the hallway.

It was much easier here then in the city. He struck a low sturdy stance and closed his eyes. This time he could hear his heart right away, he could also hear the heart of the other earth-bender, and he could also hear the (at this time the fire-bender) burrowing into the ceiling.

He concentrated hard on the ground below him. He put his hand on the ground and his other on top of that. he envisioned the composite of the soil around him and focused with all his might on the other heart beat. He pressed hard on the ground below him and exhaled, forcing all of his energy into that one spot. The result was a three inch cylindrical shaft shooting up from the ground with great force right between the man's legs with enough force to send him flying two feet into the air. As the man was curled up in a fetal position on the floor of the room Vade walked over to him and kicked him in the head, knocking him out. He dragged him outside and tied him up, and emptied his pockets. In one pocket he had a picture(sketch?)of the young man with his information written on the back.
Information: Duke Baolin - Age 18 - Male - Eyes: Brown...
There were yet some questions to be unanswered when the others returned from the ceiling.

"They can't be long... if they keep going they'll end up in the palace... no one is that stupid..."

About 20 minuets went by until Vade heard noises down the hallway and saw a light coming from that room.

"Well then, its finally time to meet our friends." Vade smiled to the bound and gaged man who lay on the ground next to him unconscious. He then proceeded to drag him down the corridor back to the room.

((Now to take a break from my research paper on shopping carts. . .))

Tsuzuki saw the young man dragging the same earth bender that had been fighting them towards them and glared. She didn't have the strength to fight and win but she didn't want to go down without so much as a raise of an eyebrow. She asked him as she stood up, "Who are you and what buisness do you have with us?"

"I think, perhaps, your question would be better directed at the individual on the ground next to me. That is... when he wakes up. He seemed to have a vested interest in your young friend..." Vade looked down at the card as if reading it for the first time. "Duke Baolin - Age 18 - Male - Eyes: Brown... I believe you have made his aquaintence" tossing the paper over to Tsuzuki, letting it land at her feet with a portrait of Baolin facing up.

Baolin scowled, seizing the portrait. The likeness was poor, as many of his official pictures were, but clear enough to determine who and what he was. Which caused him to question why the Earth Kingdom guards would attack, even knowing who he was, and why they carried around likenesses of him at all.

"I don't like what this will lead to," he said in a low voice. If Ba Sing Se held ill will for Amayen...

Tsuzuki shrugged, "Hey, if the Earth Kingdom didn't want Amayen to be a part of them, I'm sure the Fire Nation would happily take over them in the war."

She suddenly stopped, going pale at the realization of what she had just said. In front of a stranger, too. She held out her hand as if she were telling the others to stop and shook her head, "No! That's not what I mean! I mean, two or three nations are going to go to war but there's no sound proof that it's going to be the Fire Nation against the Earth Kingdom. Well, then again, we are technically the two biggest nations with the most to gain and I know the Fire Nation's going to war with someone. What, with our rich history together, I mean, who's to say that we won't-"

She stopped herself midsentence and slapped herself on the forehead, "Let's just all do ourselves a favour and forget everything I've just said."

Vade stared blankly at them... this was far more then he was bargaining for. "Well if it is any consolation, this man doesn't appear to be dressed as a soldier... but what happened as you inevitably entered the palace uninvited is another matter unto itself. I am curious as to what became of the young water-bender you were with. I don't see him among you, did he fall behind? Did you have a fight in the palace?! In that case we are obviously not safe here, this place gives me a kind-of... forbidden, vibe. Do you know where we can go? What should we do with our friend here?!" Vade paced back and forth with a concerned expression on his face.
(Willbrand is actually, most likely playing WOW... I think hes gonna come back some time soon... he said tonight)

Baolin stood, suddenly taking a severe disliking to this fellow and his sudden pushiness. Who was to say he hadn't planted the picture himself? As a dukeson (now a duke himself), he was more than familiar with political sabotage.

"I don't understand why you're addressing us so loudly," Baolin said, his face becoming a mask of stone. "Or why you're so excited about the water-bender. In fact, I wonder where you came from in the first place, and what your real interest in us is."

Mako sat against the wall of a random building, folding his legs so they didn't stick out in the street. He tuned his sitar, yawning as he shook a weird tingling sensation from his shoulders. He smiled lazily as he began to play, the tune echoing as he moved his fingers.

"~Red moon~red moon~cleanses the sinful and makes them anew~shining brightly in the night sky~waiting for the souls~who will be born again tonight~who will be born again tonight~
Bbe born again tonight~"

Taking a knee looking directly at the ground, Vade became aware that he must be acting extremely disrespectful. His lack of social training, once again has become blatantly obvious.

"Forgive me, my lord, if I have spoken out of place," Vade said in a strong, but unobtrusive, voice,"but recent events have forced our paths to meet, and I am not one to believe in coincidences. Though it may not be my place to advise you in your business, I feel very strongly in leaving this place before more trouble finds its way to us. I ask about the water-bender because I fear for both his and your best interests. If captured he will not only find himself in a world of unpleasantness, but your name, and the name of your friend here will doubtlessly come up in conversation. I don't think I need to remind either of you of the political ramifications of this. The Earth-Kingdom and the Fire-Nation are not exactly the best of friends, and if the information that I never heard you say is correct then your breaking into the palace could result in something very unpleasant. And your involvement with this could have very negative results, especially if interpreted by our friends employers(motions at the bound individual on the ground). I do not ask you to trust me. Rather I simply bring to your attention the delicateness of your situation, and I hope to help bring it to a satisfactory resolution."

Vade was rather proud of his response, he had managed to state his concerns in a respectable way, without rolling over like a simple dog. Though Vade wanted to continue his training very much, to turn a blind eye on these two could result in the deaths of many an innocent, including the two individuals in front of him. As his father had told him as a boy growing up "Only through losing One's own-ness can someone find oneness in all..." He thought... "If he hadn't always spoken in riddles perhaps I'd know what that meant.."

Baolin's expression did not soften, but neither did it harden. Whoever this man was, he knew about the importance of courtly manners. It was a relief to find someone who knew them outside the palace, even if he didn't prefer such formalities.

And though he didn't enjoy taking such vital advice from complete strangers, he felt obligated to trust the man. After all, he didn't represent only himself. It was his duty to keep all of Amayen out of trouble, by keeping his own name clean.

"Very well," he sighed. "What do you suggest?"

"I...Suggest...*huff* *Wheeze*" Said a tired voice from down the hallway. "That we get...the hell out of here" Dav said as he limped out of the hallway toward the group.

The right side of his body was drenched in blood and his arm hung limp. He looked exhausted, but he walked briskly, with a gleam of fear in his eyes.

"We need to leave NOW! Ba Sing Se isn't safe for us now..." He said as he saw the other man with the group.

"Any of us..."

(OOC - Sorry for the massive delay, Ive had a hellishly rough couple of weeks...as Jarvis here knows wink )

Although Tsuzuki was very angry at Dav for leading them into this horrid situation, she couldn't help but feel compassion for him. She rushed forwards and asked, "Can I help you in any way?"

She knew that he probably wouldn't let her but she didn't care. As long as she would be able to get back to Baolin's house and gather her things. Which reminded her, "What about Shuro? He can't be safe here either."
