"Oh c'mon. There'sss gotta be another cowboy!" Zach pretended to look hurt, swaying a little. "What'sss the use of going as a Brokeback cowboy if you don't have a boyfriend?"
"Fantasstic, till you showed up," he remarked loudly. He wasn't even aware of how drunk he was. There'd been a buzz, and he was a little dizzy, but he could hold out for a third cup, he thought.
"Oh we know each other. Punched me in the facsse, didn't you?" His conversation seemed to be directed at one and then the other with little differentiation but a sudden sharpness in the tone of his voice. He looked Rex over again almost knowingly. He had no idea what Sabin had done, but he could certainly probe. Maybe it had to do with the hair. "Anything... interesssting happen t'you after that? I mean... didn't think you liked the bald look."

Shenzi was knocked off balance as a large man bumped her; she hated her height sometimes. Brushing herself off, she looked up at him with a small smile. "No worries. And thanks. Your's is good too, but what is it?" She couldn't help but ask; he had a weird helmet on, not to mention his arms were covered in fur, with long nails on his fingers.

Emerwyn felt awfully awkward sitting in between the two men, as it finally became apparant that they did not care for each other in the least. She shifted her robes a bit uncomfortably. "It's been... fun, sure..." She shook her head. Why was it so hard to think? She did not speak like this! And the inner voice that kept her sane and proper was almost inaudbile now.

Chubbs grabbed a cup as best he could in his hand, the claws were annoying, and putting his knife down, awkwardly poured a drink and held it out to the girl in the cool dress.
" Umm if ya haven't seen Silent hill or played it, this costume will go riiiight over ya head"
Chubbs made the motion of his hand flying over his head.

She laughed, accepting the cup from him with a grin. "Heard of it, never played it though. My band-mate is the gamer." Shenzi said, laughing. "And I'm Kamila, though I prefer Shenzi." She held her free hand out to him, a smile still lighting her face as her bright hair curled around her face.

"Brokeback cowboy? What on eart- you know what. Nevermind." He didnt want to egg Zach on, just because he disliked the dragon monstrosity didn't mean that he had to do spiteful things towards him in return. It was too late to avoid the situation and Rex had to keep his peace by ignoring Zach instead of giving him fuel for more mockery. This man obviously had serious problems that needed to be worked out with a professional.
Rex attempted to clear Emer's mind and pull her from her obvious daze. "Has there been alot of dancing? The music doesn't seem to be too bad." He took another swig of his drink before sighing.

Chubbs poured himself a drink and made sure to grab a straw, he could at least still suck. God that sounded bad even in his head. When Shenzi laughed, Chubbs couldn't help but grin, it'd been a while since he'd seen someone happy. With the offered hand, Chubbs gently took it in his own and shook it, trying not to get the claws in the way.
" David, but I prefer Chubbs myself"
He wondered how she would react to that one.

It was only later in the evening that Charlie took the opportunity to sneek out of his duplex. Yesterday he had decided at the very least he should peep in and see just what this event was all about. His encounter with the inhabitants of his new home had been breif and far between. All he wanted was have a look see...and if this was indeed a party, as it should be, he would be able to hop in and hop out. Bam! Quick and painless.
It would be a waist of the costume he had ordered, but curiosty couldn't be helped. Every thing was still unclear in Charlie's mind and that irritated the man more than any greedy, money guzzling, enviornmental destroying company could.
It was time to seek out more answers. Flattening out the long billowing robes about him, Charlie let out a sigh and slipped himself through the opening of the festively stripped tent.
Huh, more than a handful of people. But not enough to allow himself to become completly lost within the crowd. An area to dance, tabels of food...all the usual party activies. Ah, a party, when was the last time he attended one? Why, he couldn't even remember the last time he had attened a regular office party.
Towards the area with food, he mingled, making sure to pick the table with the least amount of people gathered around it, finger foods. Reaching an area which Charlie deemed, comfortable, he passed a quick glace at those nearest to him before reaching out to take something. My, my, everyone's comstume was certainly...extravagant compaired to his simple rendition of Merlinl?

His head hurt. Well, didn't hurt so much as felt...foggy. Muddled. Clouded. Where was he? He tensed briefly as a murky image of Duplex 45 floated through his thoughts--but no, he was outside. That much he was sure. Relaxing, he sat up, only to tense once more as a wave of dizziness assaulted his head. Bad idea. Once the world stopped spinning, he cracked an eye, peeking around the area.
Voices, music, general merriment. There was a big tent set up not far off. He could see it past the trees. Party? Why was there a party? And furthermore, why hadn't he been invited? ...Aside from the fact that the general island populace disliked him. But something this big had to have been planned by the labs... Invitations delivered to duplexes, perhaps? Yes, that made sense. He wouldn't have gotten one that way.
The fog lifted a tad, and Thom glanced around for his crutch, frowning faintly when there was none to be found. However, the look soon faded as his gaze instead fell on a rather elaborate cane, complete with carved cobra head handle. He rolled his eyes at the sight, but dragged it over anyway, making to climb to his feet.
And tripped on a hem. A hem, he soon found, that was connected to a flowing skirt, that was connected to a ribbony bodice, that altogether formed one rather lovely dress--had it been on anyone, anyone except for him. And, he now noticed, lying near where the cane had been, a gleaming white tophat decked out in ribbons and bows. He stared down at the garment in openmouthed horror, absolutely shocked at his finding and, in his drugged haze, completely at a loss for how to react. When action finally caught up with thought, his arm jerked upward to tear off the dress--
A shock ran up his spine, sending him staggering. It passed and he straightened up, glaring around at nothing in particular. Muttering under his breath, he made a second attempt to remove the dress, and again the shock sprang from his neck, longer this time. "ALL BLOODY RIGHT," he snapped as it passed, snatching the hat from the ground and slapping it on his head. "Y'wanna play? Let's bloody play."
He kicked off the shoes, pulled the dress out of the way of the cane, and stormed his wobbly way into the tent.

Shenzi raised an eyebrow, taking a sip from her cup. His hand had rough calluses on the palm and fingers, and the claws felt cold, and sharp definately. "Mm, mind if I ask where Chubbs comes from?" She asked, leaning against the table, while being careful her feathers didn't get in the food.

Chubbs chuckled a little at her reaction, with the raised brow, it was a classic look. He'd gotten it before when he introduced himself many times under that name. Chubbs looked down at himself and realised he wasn't so... chunky like he used to be, so perhaps the name was a little confusing. Good thing though the name came from two things.
" The name? yeah umm I used to always want to be a bouncer, and in high school they called me Chubbs as it's the name of a major security company"
Chubbs let got of Shenzi's hand and poked his straw under his helmet to take a sip.

He looked at Emer's face again, scrutinizing it for any sign of dislike of the lion. None. Too bad, too bad.
"Oh man, if that'sss your idea of a pickup line..." he howled with obnoxious laughter. His head bobbed a couple of times after, his claws skirting the outside of his empty cup. "You didn' answer my... quessstion. What happened t'your hair?"

She let out a laugh, though it would probably be hard to hear over the music and other voices. "Makes sense, then." Shenzi said, grinning still as she reached over to get a plate, filling it with some food; small slices of chicken and steak mostly. "Mmm, havn't seen food this good in ages." She said; her mouth was almost watering. Her mother could cook well enough, but her food, compared to this, fell way short.

Things were getting a little too intense, even for Emerwyn's clouded senses. Music...
It's just... a jump... to the left.
"The Time Warp," she said abruptly. "I am rather... ffond of thiss one." She stood up, a little too quickly. Once she regained her footing, she turned, and took a dragon's claw in one hoof and a lion's paw in the other. "Come, let us dance!!"

Chubbs grinned brightly, this little feathered girl was rather cute and fun to be around. He thought he might actually enjoy the night yet. Sipping again and then chuckling with he, he noticed the food when she mentioned it and he knew he wanted more.
" Yeah, I know what you mean. I doubt there'll be left overs"
Chubbs stabbed a couple of cocktail weiners with a claw and popped them into his mouth, snacking happily.
