Letting out a displeased click Sanar shook her feathers and trotted back to her mother's side.

With a shake of her head Chao ran her fingers over Sanar's cranium and gave her a fond scratch behind the ears, before smiling.

"Okay! Then off we go," she said with a grin, grey eyes scanning quickly scanning for familar landmarks before she set off at a fairly slow pace in the direction of the Lodge, Sanar at her side.

Progolo scooped up Myrrh in his arms hurriedly, shoving the two jars under his elbow, and followed after Chao. Though the aching in his limbs was distracting, he lost no time in sinking into a worried lapse of thought. Suppose the Aerandir wouldn't survive wihout that specific jar? What if the jar had been holding the Aerandir's essence as well as the feather? Speaking of which, the feather was hardly in good shape after being handled...would that affect the unborn creature? And the horn...it looked like it had a crack in it...But maybe he was just hallucinating...

"So...How have you and Sanar been faring?" Progolo asked, stuffing the negative thoughts away for later.

Oblivious to Progolo's negative thoughts Chao continued up vaguely marked path, smiling when she passed a landmark and realized that they were not nearly as far from the the Lodge as she'd originally suspected before glancing back to Progolo.

"We're alright, few rough spots here and there," she shrugged, casting a glance towards Sanar, belatedly realizing her shirt was still on the beach and sighing. Too late to go back for it now...

Sanar meerly trotted along, looking up when Chao glanced at her before clicking and trotting up ahead. The big beings were going too slow.

"Rough spots?" Progolo repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Is it more rough on you or Sanar? What in the world does she eat, anyway?" Progolo asked suddenly, as the thought occured to him. The two animals that made up his Aerandir ate completely opposite types of food; leaves and shrimp. How would he know what to feed it?

"Myah, me I think," Chao murmured and made a vague sort of gesture with her hands, "she has a tendancy to, erm, collect things. Like bits of various textures, or shiny things, and she likes try and take apart my slightly threadbare clothing," which, sadly, was most of it. The guardian was now slightly obsessive about making sure to her clothing was always put away.

She tilted her head at Progolo's second question, "eat? Well, vegatables, seeds and such mostly, I caught her grazing once when she was really hungry and occassionally she'll chase down insects, but I've yet to figure out if that's just for fun or if she actually eats them," the teen quietly suspected the latter but had yet to hang around to watch to find out.

Sanar, more or less oblivious to what the two big-beings were making sound about clicked happily as the Lodge came into view and rushed forward at full speed.

"Its good to hear that she doesn't have more...expensive tastes," Progolo smiled. You would really have some trouble if she ate something like, say, wombats..."

As the lodge came into view, Progolo began to fret. He hated being in new, unfamiliar enviroments. Maybe this was a bad idea...the bad luck he'd had all day certainly seemed to hint at that. Speaking of which...what if he had managed to swim to the wrong island? Was he even in the right place?

"This...this is Ar'Idil right?"

"Wombat? Yee gods, I'm very glad she doens't eat those," Chao replied with a shudder at the very thought. "I'd be poor and tramatized."

"Ar'Idil? Yes, of course. This is Ar'idil and now we're in the village of Setone," she said with a blink, wondering what had brought that up before being distracted by Sanar.

The Gryphon was currently trying to open the door to the Lodge without the use of opposable thumbs, as she was still lacking in that area. It involved jumping up and grasping the doorhandle with her beak, a task which thus far wasn't working well.

"Oh gods, Sanar!" Chao called and rushed forward, extracting her gryphon before she could hurt herself and quickly opening the door. She was about to go into lecture mode when the gryphon darted inside, evoking a heavy sigh from Chao.

Progolo stifled a laugh, not wanting to appear rude, as Sanar's tail disappeared into the doorway of the lodge. He could feel Taal's hot face pressed against his thigh, trembling. He'd undoubtably been startled by Chao's yell of exasperation.

"Smart creature, isn't she?" Progolo smiled, rubbing Taal's head consolingly and urging the rest of his little menagerie towards the door. All of them seemed as reluctant as himself to meet the unknown.

"Smart? Perhaps, but sometimes she's a bit lacking in the common sense department," Chao replied with a groan and a shake of her head, though the slight upwards quirk of her lips took away any edge that her words might've had.

She looked back and took a few steps forward, pushing and then holding the door open for Progolo's small group.

Progolo didn't know if he had been expecting someone to stab him as soon as he crossed the threshold or what, but he could definetly feel the tension in his body relax upon seeing the rather homey inside of the lodge. There were no axe murderers, no snipers...he released the breath that he'd been holding.

"Thank you," he said out of habit for her holding the door, but then added, "Um, for everything. I'd still be rotting on the beach right now if you hadn't come along."

A firm believer in the superstition about standing in doorways, he stepped further into the room, his eyes roaming. Remembering the brightly colored pink-rabbit adorned jar in his hand, he asked, "Now...who was it that you wanted me to ask...about this...?" He held up the jar with difficulty, as Myrrh was still in his aching arms.

Sanar trotted back, looking very pleased and not at all put off when Chao threw her a halfhearted glare.

The teen smiled and trot inside, glad that the other group seemed to have relaxed,"you're welcome, I'm glad I came along."

For a moment she merely peered at the jar, trying to recall her earlier thoughts before blinking, "oh! Yes! Anthony, this office is just down... here..." she jogged ahead and poked her head in to the currently open doorway, frowning when she saw there was no one there at the moment.

"Well, it looks like he's not in right now, but the spare rooms are right next door," she walked down to the next door and gestured, "so you could get some rest while you wait, and the kitchen is just down there if you guys're hungry."

The thought of a bed made Progolo almost fall asleep where he stood, but he caught himself. He still had his menagerie to worry about. A pyrokinetic griffin, a helpless gryphlet, and a kun-kun with a sour additude and two minions at her disposal were a recipe for disaster.

"Alright, thank you," Progolo said, trying to think. The cogs in his brain were, unfortunately, a little rusty from too much sea water. "Does this door lock?" He asked Chao, indicating the entrance to the spare room. "This little group of mine is liable to mischief. I'd hate for them to cause trouble..."

Taal, who was a bit larger than Sanar, had neverless shrunk in fear when she came closer. He lay flat on his belly, peering up at her through dark avian eyes. Summoning more courage than Progolo had ever seen in the cowardly beast, he shimmied a tiny bit closer to the Aerandir, and gave a raspy chirp.

Chao looked at the door handle and nodded, "ah, well, I can definately sympathisize. And well, there's a button that looks like it could be a lock...." she clicked down said button and tested the handle, smiling when the door locked. "Yep! It works!"

Sanar's own dark eyes fastened on Taal and she tilted her head as he shimmied closer to her. Noting that he seemed much more likely to flee then pounce on her she she clicked back warmly in greeting.

Taal raised his head an inch or two, his ears swiveling forward. Was that a click? Was it a welcoming click or a warning click? He sat up and looked Sanar straight in the eyes. He'd never seen a gryphon like her before. She seemed...stitched together somehow. But Taal shrugged it off and gave a friendly burble.

"Oh...good..." Progolo breathed, the aches nagging at him. "You wouldn't know when that man will be returning, would you? I'd hate to sleep right through his visit."

Thrilled to see a bed, the equally exhausted kun-kun and her little minions hurtled into the room without needing to be bidden.

Sanar returned the friendly burble with a low rumble and a click which sounded warm enough.

"M'not sure, sorry. But I'm sure you'll run into him, or maybe leave him a note after you've gotten some rest?" Chao offered, watching the other members of Progolo's group quickly head towards the bed with a smile.

"Speaking of which, we should depart so you guys can get some rest. Come on San, we'll see them again," recieving a click Chao smiled, waved and departed with Sanar, the duo heading back towards the entrance of the Lodge then out towards the way they'd come, having finally remembered the shirt that was still lying on the beach.
