*Than stepped away from Verge* Nnn.... *Verge was far different than how Than remembered Irvine. True, Irvine, to Than, had last been seen forming an alliance with Xol.... but now Verge seemed entirely consumed in his own rage*.... Irvine-san..... *Than quickly turned away and looked to Ceres* She's..... not here? *At least this meant that Pet was incorrect in saying Kai was dead. Perhaps Pet had seen Kai leap off the tower.... but everyone was supposed to believe that she was dead. It went along with what the man he'd saved yesterday said. No one had seen what actually happened. Ceres's words meant something deeper was going on*.... Wait.... Ceres-san. What happened here? Can you tell me? *Again, at least to Ceres, Than would sound rather wimpish. He was asking her nicely for information that he probably knew she wouldn't fork over easily*

*Running her tongue over her lips she ducks the kick. Her hand snaps up and tries to grab your ankle. With her hands currently on fire, just getting touched might hurt. Her second hand jabs at your gut, with her claws being so sharp she could slice right through you.* Than, either start fighting or get lost. *Ceres's clone steps up to Than and takes a stance. Behind everyone rises a tower with a large red globe on its tip.*

Verge hardly noticed when she grasped his ankle. He used fire himself, so there was no reason the extra flames would burn him. Verge grabbed her hand as it came at his gut. He twisted her arm and pulled himself towards her body, or rather her towards his. He smirked and bared his fangs at her as he tried to knee her stomach with his free leg. Simultaneously, he also tried to punch her face with his free hand. Ceres had made the mistake of using both of her hands because now she was tied up and Verge was able to lay waste to her.

"Smirk now, b***h."

*Than took a good long look into the clone's eyes. It was completely blank and focused on him. It was waiting for him to make the move. Than quickly thought and came up with a tactical idea. Than's form shifts so that his right side is to the clone. Than made his blade parallel to the roof and wrapped his right arm around his left shoulder, reaching to his back. In one swift motion, Than flung his right arm back around, tearing off his yellow vest and throwing it between himself and the clone. The vest, with it's very light design. flared out like a flag in the wind, hiding the clone from Than's view and Than from its view. A split second after this little spectacle, the same spear that Than had used yesterday on the plant came speeding through the vest, puncturing it, and speeding quickly towards the clone's abdomen. It looked like the entire purpose of the vest being thrown was to cover the spears initial launch*

*Ceres rolls her eyes and starts to twirl her hand.* Oh, now who couldn't swoon at those words? *Her voice drips with sarcasm. As her hand twirls shadows rise from behind you. Snapping out like hands and arms the shadows swarm you. They try to wrap around every inch of your body, consuming you. As this happens Ceres throws a knockout slap and backhand at your cheek.*

*Ceres's carbon copy jumps up as the spear comes at her. Flipping fowards she lands on the weapon and charges down it towards you. Jumping again she throws a spin kick at your head.*

*The tower glows in red light behind everyone. This was clearly the goal to ending this mission.*

*As the clone ran along the extended blade, the full extent of what the yellow vest had hidden would be known. than had pulled out two square pieces of glass from his body suit. He'd broken each square in half diagonally, so their were four, jagged, triangular pieces of glass in Than's hand. Because of the length of the extended blade, Than wouldn't be able to move quickly enough, certainly not with the clone using his arm as a guide to him. Instead, Than used his extended arm as a transversal axis over which he would roll when kicked. The kick did jar him, but he had been braced for it. As the clone spun, a consequence of the spin kick to his head, and as Than turned head over heels in mid-air, he threw his right fist straight at the clone's back, with the jagged pieces between his fingers intending to cut her spine and disable her the same way Zeno once had. Hopefully, with its back turned to him in mid air, she wouldn't see the jagged shards coming at her from behind. Than didn't notice the red orb yet*

*Than was still wincing from being hit in the head, and landed on his back. Retracting the blade by instinct, Than screams when the burning heat registers with him. He had a few moments before his suit was burned through, but that wasn't long. With the blade retracted, Than throws another desperate punch for the clone's cheek. At the same tiem, Than slashed the blade horizontally to him and perpendicular to the roof. This meant that if the clone simply tried to flip forward over the punch or duck back and away from the punch, she would either be cut in half or have her head cut off, respectively. The best way to avoid it was to jump straight up and possibly get a slash across the stomach from the blade, unless there was another way out. As long as the clone got off Than, he didn't care, and he would start rolling closer to the edge of the roof*
