Feles paused in front of Aranea's door, glancing about as if making sure no one else saw. He'd been half hoping that Aranea was here as he knocked softly, but was quickly becoming aware that she wasn't. All the better really... then he could surprise her. She was likely still with her captive. He tucked the note in between frame and door, the white paper sticking out and plainly visible at about eye level, then left once more, an empty sack slung over one shoulder. Feles Dearest Aranea - I still look forward to seeing you this eve. Come to my quarters after you've had some time to relax after tending to your 'guest'. Hopefully I will have a surprise for you when you arrive. Feles

'Lay on the bed,' she said, as she helped him to the side of it.

Whimpering softly, Feles moved to sit on the edge of the bed, then pulled his legs up and curled into a shaking ball on his side. The wound on his leg had begun bleeding again, and had soaked through the rag to stat staining the skin around it. He let his eyes slip closed then, claws digging into a pillow as he buried his face into it.

Aranea shook with anger at the state of Feles. If this was Spina's doing...well she would happily show the the Oracle what her innards looked like. She went to the table by her bed, pouring water from a jug into her goblet and took it over to him, kneeling by the bed. 'Feles..' she said softly, reaching out to lightly touch his shoulder. 'Try and drink this. I'll get you something for the pain.'

"Doesn't hurt when I'm not walking on it," he said softly, eyes slitting mostly closed as he sipped the water. It felt like ice going down, and he shivered inwardly, curling back on the bed to try and get warm again. Even Aranea's hand against his shoulder felt ice cold... even though his own skin would feel nearly burning to the touch of the spider Fey.

'You will need it,' she said as she moved down to his injured leg, slowly unwrapping the makeshift bandage from it. She winced herself when it caught on the ragged wound, and she shook her head. 'Make sure you drink as much of that water as you can,' she fair ordered him, trying to sound stern to cover up the tremble in her voice. She could not become emotional now. She had to treat him. And then she could be weak. His skin was burning to the touch. If his temperature didnt lower she would have to take him down to the lake for an immersion in the water. 'I'm going to get some laudanum...' she looked at the wound again. And a sharp knife and a bowl, she thought to herself. It needed draining to let out the toxins that had built up. Washed out with an antiseptic fluid and bound properly the leg would heal well.

Feles drank as much of the water as he could stomach... then set the glass aside before he could drop it. By the time Aranea returned from going to get the supplies, the cat Fey was unconscious on the bedcovers, his mind finally realising that he was, indeed, safe now. That also meant that it was safe enough for his body to shut down in an attempt to heal itself. Not even the tip of his tail moved, as it was wont to do... instead, the only semblance of motion was from the soft rise and fall of his chest with each breath he took.

Aranea had brought everything up from her laboratory that she thought she would need. By the time she returned he was obviously deeply asleep. She pulled a chair over and sat quietly in it, watching him sleep. Eventually she too nodded off, her head sliding to one side and a phial in one hand.

What woke her wasn't a sound from her 'patient'... not was it any normal wake up call. Instead, it was a bright light that seemed to pierce through sleep behind closed eyelids, bathing the room in an almost blinding glow. It came from Feles, the cat still unconscious on the bed as his body tried anything it could think of to keep the Fey from succumbing to the infection that coursed through him. In this case... that survival instinct led to a change that neither of them had been expecting. A bright flash encompassed him, clearing after a few moments to reveal a much different form laying against the sheets. The wound on his leg seemed to close itself, the infection dying away as the magic surrounding him forced the changes that were necessary to heal him.

Aranea's eyes slid open as the light disturbed her, and then shut tight again. She sat up abruptly, knowing straight away what the light meant, and shadowing her face with her hand she opened her eyes again, seeing little more then light spots. Blinking until they went and the light had died away she stood swiftly and went over to the bed...and nearly fell over in shock. Her cheeks flushed a deep red, and she reached a hand out hesitantly. She wasnt sure if you could refer to males as such - but he was beautiful to her eyes. She knelt by the bed, looking at him..the whole of him.

The touch brought a whimper from the cat, one ear twitching idly against the long, pale hair. It seemed that it would fall well past his waist when he stood upright, the hair blending in with the silken fluff of his tail as it curled behind him. "Nea...." he murmured, nose wrinkling slightly as he caught the scent of her through the dream he must have been having. Almost immediately, he moved, one arm wrapping around Aranea's waist and pulling her alongside him as he curled into a ball and buried his face against her stomach in his sleep.

Aranea was running fingers along his leg, marvelling at the fact that the wound had healed so completely when he grabbed at her. She made a tiny noise and then smiled, trying not to laugh as his hair strands were tickling her bare stomach. She let her fingers run through the longer hair, and just let him hold her.

A low purr came from Feles' throat as he nestled against Aranea, wincing slightly when he pulled his right leg towards his chest and curled up slightly. Healed or no, it would still give him troubles for a while.
Finally, his eyes slitted open and a soft mewl came from him as he yawned. "Aranrea?" he asked softly, blinking up at her in confusion. Something was different...
"What happened?"

She smiled down at him, brushing the hair from his face; 'You grew my love. You are a very, very handsome adult now,' she bent her head and brushed her lips on his cheek.
