The Doctor crinkled his nose at Chris as he shook the boy's hand. "Always with the titles, you humans, can't ever just take something for what it is. Just call me Doctor, no need for a 'the', that would get a bit redundant at times, don't you think? "Hey, it's the The Doctor" - talk about grammatically incorrect!" He rolled his hazel eyes and smiled. "Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet the two of you!" He nodded in greeting to Erika as he released Chris' hand, pulling up a chair from the next table over. He flipped it round so the back was facing the table, and plopped himself down, folding his arms over the top. "As for your question, Chris, I'm not affiliated with the school in any way..." He paused, tilting his head back and forth as if contemplating. "Not that the headmistress minds, I'm sure she'd rather I wasn't freeloading on her properly. Well, I say 'freeloading', I more than earn my keep wandering around improving things. Leaky faucets? No problem! Concrete that needs resonating? Bingo! More than paid my dues to her, I think, especially since she didn't even need to ask." He really hoped he didn't run into that demon any time soon, he wasn't even sure if she'd forgiven him for ripping that hole into the building. Even if it was fixed now. ...and even if it had been an accident.

Chris didn't know whether to laugh or...cringe, honestly. He didn't know what this dude was talking about, and he seemed odd. Might be a savant of some sort, or could be certafiably bat s**t insane. Could also be telling the truth.

"You sound like you have a lot to say about yourself. And i'd love to hear it after I am introduced to Ms..." he offered a hand to the unnamed girl, wearing a small piece of cloth over her mouth and nose. Was she sick? He hoped not, but her eyes were striking and her skin quite pale.

She smelled nice, even from where he was sitting. Smelled like intensity.

Vivian hesitated, lingering back as the watched the two, and looking a bit hesitant about sitting down. Yet, as the Doctor- no.. just Doctor settled down, she resisted the urge to exhale yet another sigh and instead stooped lightly to set down her bag beside the table. Then, following the odd male's example, she turned and tugged a chair toward the table, however she seated herself properly. Hands clasped in her lap, she smoothed the skirt of her dress and sat with her legs together and slanted to the side. The image of proper, save for the mask and her ruby eyes, the latter currently darting between the three she'd found company with. She noted the other female's smirk as she introduced the male and peered toward the blond in turn, staring suspiciously once more. Doctor's words were only idly taken in. He was a rambler anyway, it seemed. A doctor... it sounded more like he was a plumber. Architect. Based on the things he'd just listed off.

"...it's Vivian," she repeated, unblinking eyes gazing fixedly at the blond male. Chris, she'd been told. Had he missed her name? Slender fingers lifted, paper white in contrast with the black fingerless gloves she wore, and touched the mask once more. The black cloth was pressed gently closer to her nose, the outline of which was gently accented through the thin material. Then the fingers traveled toward her ear, tugging at the straps that circled them to make sure it would remain snug over her features. "No Ms required."

He sensed that she was a bit confused at why he would ask her name...

"I know that your name is Vivian, Erika mentioned it. Introductions can be more than just a name, though I dont' want to pry."

He tried to change the subject. It didn't take a rocket scientist to tell the girl probably didn't love talking about herself or her past. Still, the invitation was open.

"I am Chris, recently moved here. To the best of my knowledge i'm here for Sword and Gunplay. I'm eighteen and my Principal sent me here to...learn, I assume. I've only recently gotten here and what-not, and already i'm meeting..." he paused, unsure how to catagorize the three of them, "people."

Erika chuckled silently at herself. She would take small glances at the other female there. She saw she was doing the same but it seemed no harm was coming from it so she went back to looking at everyone. Erika then pushed her try to the side and grabbed her bottled water. Erika then looked at the window across from the room seeing the sun getting a bit higher as it was getting closer and a bit beyond mid day. She then looked at the others ignoring her apparent sunny emotions. "Well..I guess its just the 4 of us right now. The school seems a bit quiet and under some work? But does anyone know there way around?" Erika wanted to get to know the school a bit better, just in case she need to break free from her normal self.

The Doctor watched this small exchange between the three students quietly, taking in the information they divulged. Like Chris - guns? He frowned a bit, furrowing his brow ever so slightly. Guns? Useless killing machines, nothing more, and he generally disliked anyone he met that partook in such devices. 'Everyone has their reasons, I suppose.' The alien thought to himself. 'Of course, "accidentally" blowing up the weapons storehouse on campus certainly wouldn't be too bad a thing. We could grow a banana orchard there instead. Everyone likes bananas...' Wrapped up in the ways he could cleverly reduce access to the weapons storehouse and potential escape routes when the headmistress invariably came to kill him for it, he nearly didn't catch Erika's question.

A sleeved hand shot in the air - just like one of those brainy kids in school who really knows the answer and really wants to be heard - raising the ends of his light brown trench coat off the linoleum floor. "I know my way around! Been stuck here for nearly two years now, myself, so I've had ample time to explore the area. Lots of things to do around here, lots of places...and off-campus too! There's even a beach here that has several types of herbs and stones used in - I dread to say it," He scrunched his nose in distaste, "but I suppose alchemy and "magic" are about as scientific as things get here, I much prefer physics myself, much more feasible than doing a doodle on the ground and having it do random things by clapping your hands together! Mind, that show that did it was quite good..." He grinned cheekily at the students. The Doctor really didn't want to part ways with the first people he'd seen in ages, not when he could definitely be of some use to them as well - sociable creature, him, and he'd been alone for several months now. He didn't mind, no, not him, traveled alone all the time! ...but...he wasn't used to being stuck in one place and being alone, the silence had been far too unforgiving.

Ruby eyes blinked at Chris silently as Vivian stared. More than a name? She'd rather not. They'd likely figure things out on their own anyway, if they were the type to believe in oddities. She figured anyone at this school had to be willing, or willing to become willing later. Either way, he accepted her lack of response and moved on, and she didn't question it to shift attention back to her. She really didn't desire anything of the sort. She just wanted to rest, actually, but apparently the dorms were going through a bit of difficulty. Maybe she could settle and take a nap in this.. ship of Doctor's, when they went to leave her bag there. Perhaps she'd do a little snooping as well. If anything so far had seized her interest, it was his apparent ship. But she didn't press it, venturing toward it, aware that the two were still eating and the third hadn't yet gotten anything.

Eighteen... Her mind drifted back toward the blond's introduction, detailed, she supposed, as he'd expected hers to be. Well he'd have no such luck. Besides, she'd often lose count of her own age, and have to recall her birth year and do a little mental math in order to determine the correct number. Now would be one of those times, but she'd prefer not to think about it. The words 'alchemy' and 'magic' made her perk up just a little, her narrowed eyes widening the slightest bit to indicate peaked interest. She hadn't seen such things. Well, she knew what she could do, but she hadn't seen mere human's do anything of the sort. Maybe this place would be work sticking around in. She fancied a bit of swordplay herself, if necessary.

"Beach.." she spoke up at last, but what would've been expectantly a question came out instead as a rather bored or dull murmur. The idea of a beach, other than seeing someone do magic, held no hint of desire for her. Understandably. "Well," she continued softly, eyes flicking once more between the trio. "I would like to move on sometime today, when you finish-" Her piercing eyes lingered upon Erika and Chris, then shifted to Doctor. "-and after you begin." More than just a subtle hint to get going.

Erikas eyes darted to Doctor as he spoke. She seemed to have a bit of intrest in the magic deparment when he spoke as well as other things he said. Erika let it process her thoughts and then she looked at Vivan when she spoke as well. Erika looked at her and tryed to see what information she could pick of her. She wore a mask had ruby eyes and something more to her but hard to pick. She seemed to share a bit of intrest in magic or alchemy. Erika then grabbed her tray of food and placed her trash together, "Well..Im full and well done eating. I think we should head on..Maybe I can place my things in a more sensible place." Erika then looked over at Chris wondering if he himself was done eating. Erika then felt a different hunger rise, she then closed her eyes and open them suppressing it. She remembered this feeling all to well and knew she is changing and had to start over and knew.

The Doctor bounced up from his seat. "Well, if we're going to be heading off, I'd like to grab something to eat first. ...oh, there's a thought, I'll need to pay." He patted his upper pockets on his trench coat, but to no avail - it was time to start digging through the lower ones. The alien emptied the contents onto the table as he went - a red yoyo, a book of prose, a tube of a device that looked very high tech and yet very simplistic, ("Best stick that somewhere else", he said, slipping it into an inner, top pocket), several foreign coins, (including a few that looked positively extraterrestrial), four scrunchies in assorted colors, ("really should leave those out" he muttered as he set them aside), two notepads, a pear, ("Ugh, I hate pears!" He moaned, setting it apart from the pile in disdain), a sizable rubber band ball, blue ball-point pens (fourteen to be precise), and many other unnameable and assorted objects. The mound covered a fair amount of the table by the time the alien found what he was looking for. "Aha! There we are!" He waggled a flat, brown flip-case with a blank piece of paper inside in the air before jaunting off toward the assistant and ordering some fries. When it came time to pay, he simply flashed the seemingly blank card at the scanner, which beeped its acceptance and printed a receipt.

"Right!" The Doctor said, walking back, plopping a handful of the greasy food into his mouth, carrying on talking even though he hadn't swallowed. "If we're all done - and that means you too Chris - then shall we be off?" He piled numerous objects - except the pear - back into his pockets, which, despite the sheer amount of things, didn't appear to have anything in them at all.
PostPosted: Tue May 19, 2009 7:14 pm

Chris was holding back laughter. Adoring laughter, not judgemental laughter. He figured everyone was a person and intitled to their own...perks.

"Oh," he was reminded, "do you mind if I have that pear? I love pears...and I could eat it while we walk, assuming it's...edible." If it'd been in someone as eccentric as Docter's pocket for this long, god only knew.

Still, he got up as he talked, tossed everything on his tray and buried his hands in his pockets as Docter gorged himself.

He chose not to sit again, as that would require sliding past the hungry one and he didn't want to interrupt. Rather, he leaned on the table, his back just a bit in front of Viv, who was on the seat closest to the room at large. Erika had the window seat. He cocked one of his feet, resting completly on one of them, waiting patiently for the Docter to finish.

"Hrm...Beach," he whispered to himself.

Erika then turned her head, she excused herself from everyone as she head to throw her trash away. She then stood still behind everyone, "Well..Ready to leave everyone?" Erika then placed her hands in her back pockets and rocked on her feet waiting a bit impantiently. One thing about her was staying in a place for to long. Cause soon it got boring then she had to think about things to get rid of the boredem. Which led to her to think of herself which was never good.

The Doctor nodded, swallowing his mouthful of greasy potatoes. "I'm game for a wander! Question is, what next? The beach?" He wrapped up the leftover fries and shoved them in his pocket without a second thought and began to amble backwards towards the door, facing the trio as he went. "The church? The dorms? There's a lovely rec-room - mind, it's a bit misleading, rec-room. Sounds like it's a wrecked-room, but it isn't. Well, I say it isn't, but this is a school, and with schools comes mayhem and destruction. You students! It's all pot noodles and, "Hey, let's play with paintball guns indoors" Mind, since studying is out of the question, you have to fill the time up somehow..." The alien grinned, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Oh, and Chris! You can have that pear. Might taste a bit different than what you're used to, it's from..." He frowned, thinking for a minute. "...about two thousand years from now, relatively speaking." He stopped short of the door, and waited for the group, wondering if Vivian would want to drop of her bag, or if the general desire to see this supposed beach would win out. He wouldn't mind going to the beach, he hadn't been in a while, and it was one of the few seasides he'd seen as of late that weren't menacing or completely frozen over. Not that he minded frozen seas, it reminded him of his time with Rose, back when it was all big ears, leather, and always running... But this was neither the time nor place to have a reminisce.

He was a puzzle, this Doctor. Vivian wasn't sure what quite to make of him, or the growing pile of objects he was pulling out. Now, she'd admit she wasn't necessarily up to date on current technology and things of that nature, but this stuff looked positively foreign. It became a little clearer, and at the same time more mysterious.. and interesting, when he said the discarded pear was two hundred years... young? She glanced towards Chris, her eyes almost expectant. She wanted to see what a pear that supposedly didn't exist yet would do to a human body. Perhaps some futuristic germs that current day humans hadn't built up an immunity to yet? Ah, the thoughts and possibilities seemed endless. And she seemed to be taking the idea of time travel in stride. It certainly perked her interest.

"Perhaps the beach," she suggested quietly, eyes darting between the rest as she slowly scooted back her chair and stood, patted and smoothed her long dark dress, and slid her chair back into place. "Since everyone seems somewhat interested in that idea. Though..." She stooped, picking up her bag, and slipped the umbrella from the strap on the side. She settled it against her shoulder, and focused once more upon the trio. "...would it be possible to drop my bag off first.. in this ship of yours?" Oh, how she longed to see it, now more than ever.
PostPosted: Sun May 24, 2009 11:31 pm

The Doctor nodded at Vivian, glad the cafeteria was quiet enough that he could pick up on her hushed tones. "Ah, of course - completely forgot about that bag of yours! Can't lug a thing like that to the seaside, you'd get sand in all of your things, and that'd just be a laundromat nightmare" He wasn't sure if he liked the idea of his ship turning into some sort of field trip, now that he stopped to think about it - it'd just been Vivian back when he made the offer, after all - but it couldn't be helped...and the dorms were on the way to the beach. He supposed it was the price one paid for wanting (he refused to say 'needing') to be cordial and people-friendly, after months of seclusion. And, besides, just because they were swinging by didn't mean they could do anything, like wander off and get terribly, irrevocably lost in the bowels of his multi-dimensional ship. Strictly console-room only, one stop, drop, zip bang boom!

Hopefully.

"Right then!" The Doctor, a cheery smile on his face, turned on his heel and flung the doors open. "And off we go!"

((Can finish up anything you need to do here, but I'll go do the Doctor outside his ship post - It'll be Dorms, "The Roof" thread! Be sure to read the first post on that thread, as I'm not going to properly rehash the information! See you guys there!)

Erika thought for a moment, "Well, you guys have fun..Ill meet you there at the beach..Im going to drop my things off...somewhere..and then change..again..somewhere.." Erika then shrugged she looked over at Chris, he would probally join the other two and she would just find her way around. She then thought about the foreign pear. "Is that think even going to be safe for him....being.." She then paused and picked up like she had something in her throat. "A little out dated?" But of coarse before he could answer her question he was out the door and it seemed Vivain had followed and it was just herself and Chris. She then wispered to herself lowly, "Never mind then.."
