Zanna enjoyed the hug for a short as it lasted, letting her fingers trail his sides as he pulled back, her eyes staying on his as he backed away.

Mouthing a 'good bye' of sorts before he turned, she gave him a return wave, sighing softly when he left, staring out at the door even when it had been long shut and he was long gone.

Now that Jack was back, the household seemed to be in better shape and functioning much better as a whole because X was back to her usual 'sane' state. Even with a new baby in the house, things were taken care of properly and everything.

Aka had even come out of hiding.

The matriarch was on the couch with Nao and his fandangle when Zanna burst into the house, sweaty and sore from a just finished training session. Her hair was up and the teen was covered in sweat, Baqir following close behind her with various arrows jutting out through his 'spokes'.

Bow and quiver being shucked off and set in the corner, Zanna saw her mother and smiled, rather glad to be seeing her up and about, eyes catching the blue feathers with innate curiousity as she plopped down into a vacant chair across from X. "Who's that?"

"His name is Naolin, though I just call him Nao... He's a Fa'e I think." The vampire responded bluntly as always, purple eyes moving to glance over at Zanna.

Nao just seemed interested in the shinies that Kia had given him, and was holding the one gem in his hands to see if he could make more light dance off of it.

X ignored the irritating flashes that caught her eyes and payed attention to her daughter instead. "Training going well now that your leg healed? I'm still surprised about the whole Nyoka chance meeting and trip to Greece... Seems someone wanted you to meet her..." The woman trailed off, brow furrowing in thought at the situation, still finding it rather ironic all the connections that seemed to be falling into place.

Zanna nodded at the first question, "My arms are sore now that I'm training with the bow I bought for the first time... Baqir actually helped play target..."

The cog, hearing the compliment and his name, gave a beaming flash of his center gem before zipping off to get cleaned and oiled by said sprockets.

"He seems happy when he fights, like me..." Successfully avoiding the second comment entirely, Zanna caught glance of the box of chocolates sitting on the coffee table. The box was deep red and heart shaped, much not her mother's taste. "What's that for?" she nudged her chin towards the offending box.

X just followed her gaze and grinned, reaching over, capturing a chocolate, and popping it into her mouth with an orasmic look. "Jack got me some chocolates, pre-Valentine's day stuff probably... That reminds me, how are you and that other boy... Elijah?"

"Valentine's Day... What's that?" Maybe her mother would be able to explain it better than Slush, who had used an entirely different name for the day than X, did. But with the next comment, Zanna's eyes narrowed and she immediately went to change the subject when X cut her off. "There's no--"

"Slush told me, took pictures even... I'm not mad and nor do I care if you have a boy friend or toy. You can take care of yourself pretty damn well, I trust your decision." The vampire gave Zanna a smug look when the teen glared even more, and then sighed, not being able to come up with a story or a cover up.

"He's stronger than me, and he's not ******** annoying and weak like the rest of them are..." Zanna's eyes went to her knife, which she had unsheathed and was currently using it as a distraction to the conversation. Unlike X, she was NOT comfortable with this situation. She wasn't supposed to be weak and like boys. She was a warrior! Not a whore.

"That doesn't make you weak. ******** look at me, I'm a mother and I'm with a man, and I'm nowhere near being considered weak..." She smiled at the thought of Jack and her children, but quickly returned to the earlier comment. "Ah anyways, Valentine's day... It's February 14th and it's a day where you get the person or persons you're interested in gifts to show you care. It doesn't really have to be overly romantic, or in the colors of the holiday... those blasted pinks and whatnot. It's just to show you care... Or atleast, that's how I see it..."

Hopefully that would help Zanna figure some stuff out, the teen only nodding in thanks for the explanation, eyes telling the vampire that she was very much lost in thought. "Shower, think about it all, and then go shopping to see if anything catches your eye... because you certainly have his..."

With a chuckle and a wink, X stood with Nao and made her way past Zanna, giving her shoulder a pat while walking by, before she disappeared upstairs to put the Fa'e down for his nap.

The Simu teen just sighed, sitting there for a good bit after X had left before she stood and made her way to the nearest shower, mumbling to herself. "I guess it's worth a ******** try..."

Starts here.

No entrance this time, Jerava was already in the store, perched on a stool, peering closely at her glitchen. Rather oblivious to the outside world, Laure kept a sporadic watch on the store, in case someone decided to come in. The cog spun lazily in the air, listening to Xab explain about why the sun was bad.

Since Jack had reappeared, X had 'kindly' asked Zanna to take Nao out shopping with her, and with Baqir bugging her so he can 'go meet new allies', she was now pushing her way into the shop with baby in arms and cog whirling around them both.

Baqir let out a cheerful set of beeps when he saw the other cog floating lazily in the air, but was still quite angry for being left at home when his owner went to Greece without him. Thusly, this trip out was punishment for leaving someone as important as he home, his center gem continued to flash in anger as he purposefully stayed away from the new cog to further irritate Zanna.

The hummingbird Fa'e watched as the purple center gem lit up and spun around the two of them, clearly distracted by the pretty colors.

Shaking her head, Zanna looked around for the nearest couch and sat on it, setting the Fa'e in her lap for lack of any better ideas, shooing Baqir off with an adgitated hand brush. "Stupid cogs."

Cyrus let out a lazy yawn as he wandered into the store. Honestly, it was much too early for him to be up and about on a day off from school. Stupid job... That, and Aana just did not seem to grasp the concept of sleeping in... She'd woken him up with a rather loud and irritating ring like one might expect from an alarm clock.

The hyperactive cog in question literally bounced along the floor as she followed Cyrus in, making a monotonous ticking sound as her orbs clacked against her main body.

Laure noted the new arrivals and zipped over to nudge Jer. "People," the cog explained when the elf glanced up irritably.

"Oh," Jer replied, sticking her glitchen back in her pocket. "Ah. Can I help you?" she asked the room in general. Laure stayed close to it's bond, watching the other Fandangles carefully.

Zanna looked up towards the voice and shook her head, adding a 'no' to her shake before glancing over to the groggy boy who had walked in with a very strange looking cog, not bothering to greet him. He'd greet her if he wanted to talk to her, and so her attention went back to the baby she was sitting.

Nao was quiet, hand reaching up to play with the beads and feathers in Zanna's hair, she had pretty feathers too! But these weren't as pretty as Wilbur's.

Baqir finally zipped off towards the new cog, it was strange looking and had purple like him. "Not normal," he cog grunted, whirling in place in front of the geared cog.

Jer shrugged and waited to see what if the other person needed help. Her fingers itched to get back to working with her glitchen, and resume the experiment she'd had to put on hold when the people had arrived.

Laure continued to watch the cog, wait, there were two now. Neat! This was fun! Spinning happily in the air, Laure continued it's observations.

Cyrus blinked and glanced in Jerava's direction as though only just noticing her. One ear pricked forward for a moment, and he shook his head. "Nah. I work here too.. No worries." He glanced toward Zanna briefly, his gaze lingering on the baby in her lap. ...what the heck did a baby need so much jewelry for?

Aana froze in place as Baqir approached her. Mostly, anyway. She still tilted from side to side every now and then, apparently quite fond of the ticking sound she'd learned to make. "Why not?" She paused a moment, her four red gems flashing one after the other. "I'm cooler than you."

The Simu blinked up at the teen when she felt the boy's stare on the baby, sure he was rather weird looking, but this boy had animal ears and a tail like Jack, but different and not as big and fluffy. Clucking her tongue against the roof of her mouth, Zanna gave a bit of a warning not to stare so rudely at Nao, who was oblivious to it all, feathers much more interesting.

The ticking sound was quite very annoying, why couldn't he make that noise? Therefore, since he couldn't make it, this one had to be weird and not cooler than him, despite what it said. "Different noises. Infected? Machines can't infect. You must be wrong."

Suddenly, a loud happy squeal came from the back of the store, a brightly colored cog speeding out from where ever it was and zipping straight to Nao and Zanna, orbiting the two at a high speed. He had to show off just how pretty he was!

Jerava filed away the fact that Cyrus worked here, and made a note to not ask him if he needed help on future visits. Ducking almost instinctively at the appearance of the new cog, Jer narrowly missed being hit upside the head. "I think that's for one of you," the woman said dryly, sitting upright one more.

He shifted his glance to the girl holding the baby, one ear slowly pinning back. What was she getting on his case for? She was the one stuffing the poor kid in all that junk, wasn't she? Just as he was about to turn away, a brightly colored blur sped by to circle round the too. "Uh.." Quite coherent, this one was. "Yeah," he added, agreeing with Jer. "They do that.."

Aana's ticking sped up for just a moment when Baqir disagreed. "My noises are cooler than yours. Jealous," she declared. Then, almost as an afterthought she added, "Ugly too~" Hah! That'd show him for saying she wasn't cool.

"Great... another one..." Eyeing the markings on the new cog, she looked down at Nao and sighed, recognizing that they did seem to 'match' and go together. "What's your name?" Baqir had named himself, so this one probably had too.

"Acahualli. It means sunflower. I am beautiful like a sunflower." If a cog could pose, then this one certainly did, stopping his whirring for a moment while he floated in place, turning from side to side so everyone could see him.

A NEW SHINY PRETTY THING! Nao squealed and reached up, trying to pet the cog, who was too busy posing to notice much of anything.

Baqir flashed angrily at the other two cogs, both for different reasons. "I don't need to be pretty. I can... 'kick your a**'..." Another phrase learned from Zanna, who had raised an eyebrow at the short foxboy who was looking at her.

"Do we have a problem shortie?" She stated, voice void of most emotion.

Aana made a rather furious sound - something like white water rapids... "Could not couldnotcouldnot!" she chanted rather quickly. A pause. "...I don't even have one. So there." If she'd had a tongue, she'd be sticking it out at that moment.

She tilted back slightly, apparantly watching Laure as she floated by. Huh..she hadn't noticed that cog before.. "Hey~" she called. "I'm cooler than that ugly cog there, right~?"

Cyrus stifled a snicker, vainly hiding an amused smile behind one hand. His amusement with the cogs was shortlived though, his attention being grabbed by Zanna again. ...he wasn't really short, was he..? "I was just wonderin' why that kid needs all that jewelry and junk. He's not even old enough to know what they are."

Laure stopped following Jer and dropped down to the other cogs. "Cooler? You cold?" asked the somewhat literal-minded Fandangle. "Both pretty, right?" Laure spun slightly in confusion. It had a lot to learn, apparently.

"Beats the hell out of me... He was 'born' with them on him. Fa'e or something... ******** weird if you ask me..." She shrugged and stood settling Nao down on the couch to be entertained by this sunflower whatsit cog and taking the controller with a nod. "Thanks."

Pose. Pose. Turn. Spin. Pose. Strut. Repeat. Aca was on a roll! He was so beautiful and he had to show himself off to his owner properly.

Nao's wail of frustration caused him to stop and move right in front of the baby's face, flashing his gems in a 'dance' like sequence. Making master sad was to be a failure, and beautiful cogs didnt' fail.

Baqir blinked at the cog, hissing angrily at it's stupid accusations while it searched its memory for a comeback, once again finding and choosing one of Zanna's choice phrases. "******** you. You are a harlet." Quite pleased with himself, he gave a proud beep and spun his blades at her.

Aana's gems dimmed and brightened once, almost like a mechanical blink. "Not cold anymore.. Cool like better! I'm better than that one." She spun around and ticked furiously at Baqir again. "You're stinky! ...what's a harlet?"

Cyrus blinked at the mention of Fa'e and wandered closer, leaning down a bit to get a better look at the runt. ...he really didn't look much like a horse the way Rune did.. "My mom found a Fa'e too, I think... Except he's a unicorn or something. With a twin who isn't. I think it's insane..." He drew back and glanced at Zanna again, resisting the urge to blink when he realized she was taller than him.

...stupid girls.

Jer watched the two...children, then shook her head. "Laure, darling, time to go," she said to the cog.

"Cool means better?" Laure spun in confusion. That didn't make much sense..."Coming!" The silver cog floated over to Jerava, hovering right above the woman's left shoulder.

"It was, ah, nice to meet you," Jer said before leaving the Forge.

Baqir was thrilled that the other cog didn't know what a harlet was, center gem blinking happily and smugly, "Look it up. Not to bright."

Zanna looked down at the boy, a smug smile tugging at her lips as she realized she was looking down on a male. How amusing. "Ah, my mom found him... appeared from a pile of feathers that came from her dreams, or something like that. Like I said, bloody ******** weird." Her eyes glanced to the baby and the cog as she spoke of them, raising her eyebrow as Nao seemed transfixed by whatever the cog was doing.

Man that kid had a weird attention span.

Aca continued his blinking dance, enjoying how much attention from his maaster he was getting.

Aana quivered in what might have been a fandangle's equivalent to a wave as Laure and Jerava left. She turned back to Baqir and drifted closer. Closer... Closer still... "Well you're still ugly!" she shrieked.

"From a pile of feathers?" echoed Cyrus. That sounded pretty damn bizarre... "My mom found Rune-. Er, that's the unicorn's name.. She found him by a river, only he was sortof a ghost.. And..now he's..not..." ...gods but he sounded so lame. He sighed inwardly, making a note to not talk about the damned unicorn ever again.

The light show from Aca still was entertaining the Fa'e as the pair continued to talk about him.

Zanna gave Nao another glance before raising an eyebrow at Cyrus, thinking back on her visit with Nyoka in Greece. "They tend to be strange, but I can't really talk... I came from a mirror... My knowledge is that they have to be bonded to someone to live and that they were once alive long ago. It's complicated so don't take my word for it..." Shrugging, the teen ran a hand through her hair, pushing it carelessly out of her face once more.

Baqir watched the other cog get closer, whirring strangely at the other cog's shrieks before suddenly charging into it, clanking loudly as metal hit metal. "Still stronger."

Cyrus blinked dumbly at her. ...did everyone not from the clinic come from something completely insane? "That's..really weird.. I guess it explains why he started getting solid again after my mom brought him home though.."

Aana shrieked, several tendrils of water sprouting from her red gems to slap at the other cog. "Strong doesn't make you smart! Stupid!" She darted toward Cyrus, whimpering and whining pitifully at his shoulder. "Cyrus~ He's mean!"

Cyrus, though, ignored it, giving her a sidelong glance. "Didn't you start it?" This earned another round of angry ticking from the cog. Joy.

Baqir just spun rather fast to shake the water off of him, laughing mechanically at the other, whiny cog. "Strange girl. Not strong like Zanna. Weak. No threat."

The Simu glared down at him when he gave her a dumb look as if daring him to say something about her being 'weird' too, she was just as real as he was and most obviously stronger. "That it may..."

An eyebrow raised at his comment to the cog, causing her to crack an amused smile.

The pair on the couch continued their transfixion with eachother, ignoring anyone and everyone else at the moment.

Aana spritzed a bit of water at Baqir as though spitting on him. "You wait and see when I change again! I'll...'kick your a**' then," she said, repeating the strange phrase she'd heard him say before.

Cyrus rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, glancing around for anything to distract him from the strange girl. And there it was! The relieved grin when he caught sight of Xironielle was painfully obvious. He wandered toward the counter and waved at her, for once glad he had a job here. "Can I help you with anything?"

[And then they... left because my computer wonked out.]

Fin.

Back from shopping, Zanna looked at the time and immediately took pen to a piece of parchment, scribbling a short messy message and after drawing a rather rough map on the back, the teen rolled up the paper and called Sevati over.

The owl, who had been gone out in the wild for the past while, hooted softly and flew the short distance, offering her foot to be teathered, which Zanna quickly did. "Make haste to him... It's important..."

Understanding, there was a hoot and then a flutter of wings, Sevati being gone soon after.

Note
Birdy-

I need to see you tonight.
It's important.
Follow the map on the back and meet
me there at 5pm.
I'll be waiting.

[Link to RP.]

Zanna was hoping that Sevati had caught Elijah in time, and that he didn't have any current plans, not really understanding the meaning of Valentine's Day, other than it was the time to spend with people you liked. She was currently wearing the skirt that he had seemed to like so much, and a pair of boots she had bought up in Greece as well as a deep purple fur lined jacket.

Her boots crunched the dwindling snow absently as her hend moved over the contents of her right pocket, fiddling with the objects she had bought just earlier. After a while she was beginning to think that Elijah wasn't coming, but a familiar hooting and flap of wings made her smile and soon Sevati was circling closer and then finally landing on her outstretched arm. "Did you get him Seva?"

Another flap of wings sends proof to her question without words as the winged teen glides up above. Barely squinting, he picks up on where the owl had passed through the quickly darkening sky. Relaxing his wings slightly so they arch appropriately, he sets out his feet in front of himself for quite a smooth landing.

" 'Lo," he greets quietly, shoving his hands into his pockets. Yet another "borrowed" pair of boots are on his normally bare feet. He was quite glad to have an excuse to leave the house, failing to mention the details of the significance of the trip. In fact, he'd failed to mention anything at all, yet again breaking free of the house unnoticed. He'd gotten in s**t for the last time, and if he gets caught again..

But, she's well worth it.

She turned when she heard his voice, a light smile quirking at her lips as she caught sight of him, and with one glance to the sky, she quickly grabbed his hand a led him through a clearing to the top of a hill. Stopping, the teen let her eyes linger on the setting sun before finally speaking. "Twas where I was going before I met Sevati... Thought I'd show it to you..."

At the mention of her name and the circumstances, Sevati made a soft noise and took off to do some much enjoyed hunting and leave the two be.

"How've you been...?" It was a bit akward seeing him again after no communication for several weeks, but she didn't care, just happy to be in contact with him.

"Ehm, a'right," he lies quietly, raising his eyes up at the tree to take a photographic glance. With a short pause, he looks back down to her face with a sad sparkle to his eyes. "Tobes has me locked up for a few weeks, today included. If you don't hear back from me for a while.. "

He shakes his head. "Don't worry about it. Just send Sevati and I'll keep in touch that way. He's a softy for things with wings, s'long as they aren't related to him."

Elijah rolls his eyes, but it feels as though his stomach has dropped down to his feet.

Zanna frowned when she heard about him being locked in, her teeth gritting in anger towards Tobias for a bit before sighing and giving Elijah a smile. "I'm glad you could get out to see me... I missed you..." Though she was angry at Tobias, she was much happier to have birdy with her, so she leaned in and gave him a tight, but brief hug.

There was a pause before the teen finally pulled away and sat down on a snow free boulder, hand moving to her pocket to fiddle around a bit. "This Valentines day thing is so weird... Don't really understand it, but I gotcha something anyways..."

She finally pulled her hand out of her pocket, offering it to him with the two pendents in her palm, green one glinting in the light.

User ImageUser Image

"I think the green one has something to do with the 'bond of friendship, loyalty, and love' or something, and the white one represents strength and good luck... They reminded me of you so I picked them up..."

Elijah gives a long stare at the two pendants in his hand before closing his fingers around the two beautiful gifts. Valentine's Day..? He had heard, vaguely, something about it around the house, but he hadn't bothered to listen in on the fuss. Any fuss isn't usually good around the Taciturn Lime, but this.. really is a slap that he should have clued in.

He raises his eyes up at her again, releasing his lip from its hold under his teeth, which he hadn't realized he had been doing. "Valentine's..?" he says softly, guilt spreading over him quickly. "I- Well, I didn't get anything for you.. I've been locked up and ju-"

Elijah hangs his head a touch before quickly trying to think of a solution. His own stupidity has a hold around his vocal chords at the moment, choking any words away from escaping. This couldn't turn out well.. could it?

"I still owe you that flight," he finally says, blue eyes flickering back at her figure. "Night's clear.. I might as well make the best of my escape, as it might be a while til you see me again, anyway.."

This wasn't the reaction that Zanna expected, he seemed so unhappy to even see that she had gotten him anything, and that meant he didn't like her? Suddenly this whole Valentine's thing didn't sound like such a great day to the teen, whose face fell once he hung his head, as if he was ashamed of the pendents. "If you don't like them you can just say..." She trailed off, eyes searching for a place to look other than him.

His next suggestion made her return her gaze to him, head cocking somewhat before she nodded. "If you don't mind it... I'd love to... M'sorry about all this, I shouldn't have done any of this without talking to you first..." She was incredibly worried that she had done something to make her seem like she was throwing herself at him like some kind of boy crazed girl

Zanna was going to kill X when she got home.

Elijah winces, recognizing something in her voice that tells him she isn't exactly happy. Reaching out at her, he catches onto her shoulder, quickly pocketing the gifts with his other hand.

"They're great gifts. They remind me of.. old times, something I can't even remember. M'dream, too. I love them.." he whispers gently, doing as he usually did by means of brushing his fingers across her cheek. "And I-"

His wings ruffle when he catches onto the sound of a branch snapping. As paranoid as he is, considering the situation, he tenses up and looks directly into her eyes for.. something. Anything.

"Now?" he quickly hisses under his breath, keeping quiet. "D'you trust me to fly you..?"

"You're not just saying that are..." The teen trailed off when she brought her eyes back to his, seeing something in them that told her she was making a mountain out of an ant hill. Suddenly she felt a lot better about giving him the gifts, especially when he brought his fingers over her cheek, that simple motion always seeming to comfort her.

His broken statement was quickly forgotten when she felt his hand tense and saw his face, eyes holding his when they seemed to search hers. With his next comment the Simu smiled and nodded, speaking in but a whisper. "I trust you ...with me..."

Before she could forget, Zanna stood up and pressed her lips to his, having missed their shape, taste, and the way they felt against hers for the past several weeks. Lingering as long as possible, she brushed his bangs out of his face when she pulled back, tucking it behind his ear with yet another smile. "Lets fly."

Elijah wastes no time; he moves her hands so they gather around his neck, next gaining a good hold around her waist. Entangled like this, he curves and spreads out his wings to hesitate momentarily before a hasty takeoff.

As it turns out, despite all of his fears, there isn't any noticable strain or faltering. In fact, it doesn't even affect his flight patterns all that much. The ease is quickly spotted in the way his tense body relaxes gently. All the while, the pair continues to rise, and without a single word from the "pilot."

This was a new sensation, not being anchored to anything attached to the ground, cool wind whipping her hair around her as her arms tightened around his neck. It was absolutely amazing, no wonder Elijah loved this as much as he did.

Pulling them tighter together, Zanna rested her chin on his shoulder so she could look over it and watch the scenery change around them. Out of instinct, the teen wrapped her legs around him, so they wouldn't be unanchored and dangling against the wind, feeling a lot safer in this position. She became more relaxed when he relaxed against her, her smile widening at the entire feeling. "It's beautiful... Now I see why you love this so much..."

He grins with a strained glance down at her, returning his eyes quickly to the scene ahead. It's not like watching the road, where you could easily swerve and encounter danger; up here, rarely is there any trouble to bump into, and his wings do all of the work adapting naturally to the wind patterns.

"Like you wouldn't believe," he laughs back in a low tone, keeping his grip on her tight as the notion of danger for her is still there. He flies a straight path, taking her directly over the forest below and nearly to the edge of it.

He'd go on forever, fly until his wings felt like they'd give out if he went further, and he'd easily take her with him. Away from this damn place where his guardian could keep him away from all this, and worst of all, away from her.

The tops of the trees were nothing like this, the trees seemed so small, like they were just bushes from where they were, and she was facinated by it. Her fingers absently tangled into the hair at the back of his neck, the texture of it soothing her and helping the teen forget about the fact that it was in fact a long way down to the ground and she wasn't the one with the wings.

"Where are we going?" The question came as if he had a destination in mind, but she wasn't even sure he had that and her legs tightened slightly when the wind seemed to pick up around them. Her eyes darted to the ground as she searched out familiar landmarks, so this was how he saw the world.

"Where d'you want to go?"

He bit his lip slightly when she asked, releasing it with the relief of knowing she can't clearly see his face at this angle. He would take her wherever she pleases, if only for the excuse just to be with her and keep away from home.

As always.

The setting now is, indeed, familiar. His photographic memory digs up the map of this place from the aerial view; it doesn't differ significantly from how it can be viewed in the day, so it's easy for him to know where he currently stands, direction wise.

"I'm up for anywhere you want to go.."

"Surprise me...?" She murmered softly into his ear, since it was within reach anyway, her grip tightening somewhat, whether it was to feel him against her more or because the fear of falling was slowly creeping into the back of her mind, only the teen knew.

Zanna was beginning to get cold from the temperature difference and the wind chill, any skin that was exposed was slowly starting to loose feeling, and she shivered violently against him. They'd have to land soon or else she was thinking that her legs would fall off right then and there. "Can't feel... my legs though..."

Allowing his eyes to adjust to what little light there is, he presses her closer still, as if she's something too precious to allow to hold out too far. That, and the indication of the temperature difference affecting her - he'd long forgotten about this, having rarely noticed the change himself - causes him to pinpoint a decent landing area.

Below, nothing but open field half covered in snow greets his eyes. It'd have to do for now, but unfortunately it's still so close to civilization, threat, danger.. home.

"Don't worry yourself when my wings give out," he assures her, pressing his fingers deeper into her lower back. "It's just easier to land if I cushion myself with my wings. The drop in altitude'd be killer if I didn't, since I'm not really, y'know, a bird or nothing."

Keeping his eyes on a targetted area, he begins to slow down.

She clung to the extra heat that his small movements brought her, nodding against the crook of his neck. Even though she was freezing to death from the wind, the teen was very much enjoying the time together, the closeness, and the feel of his body pressed into hers.

It reminded her of several weeks ago, and she just grinned.

"Okay... As long as you don't, you know... drop me, I'm happy..." Her stomach lurched as he began to slow down, Zanna trying to decide whether or not this was fun or she was going to throw up, but she chose the former, not really liking the idea of throwing up all over Elijah in midflight.

"A'right. As long as you trust me, you'll be fine."

He meant that on two levels, but wasn't about to explain either. He doesn't come to a complete stop, but rather his shoulderblades, slightly sore now, relax and bring his wings in tight against his body. A few feathers might have touched her hands, but for now they're out of the way completely.

And so, they fall.

The wind whizzes by as the pair rapidly dives down, staying upright as they do so. Clothing offers little resistance, merely pressed against the skin of those falling to their apparent doom.

Within feet of the ground, the wings behind Elijah's back burst out from their hiding, rising clean above his shoulders at a height he hadn't experienced them being at before. Though, given the added weight, he had expected something of the type, as was shown in his decision to force them out as parachutes earlier than he would have if it were only him landing.

A much softer fall now, after the mere 20 seconds of exhilerating and fate testing plummeting, his feet touch the ground first with a soft but solid thump.

Her eyes widened and she clung for dear life to Elijah, eyes closing and legs tightening around his hips or legs, whichever they were tightened around. The teen couldn't quite tell due to her legs being as cold as they were, nor did she notice the fact that the rapid freefalling had caused her skirt to flap up.

Zanna would've screamed if her voice wasn't caught painfully in her throat, the dropping in altitude making her rather dizzy and inches from the earlier thinking of stomach churning.

A sigh of relief left her lips as she finally found herself able to breathe once she felt the bump of solid ground. She stayed silent for a good time after the landing, unable to move for several reasons, and attempting to catch her breath and calm her nerves.

Standing with two feet on the ground now, he moves a hand to her head and pulls his fingers through her hair, affectionately giving her a lopsided smile.

"Sorry if that scared you," he murmurs, kissing her forehead before releasing his other hand from her waist. He doesn't mention the tearing pain in his wings he feels from the aftermath of the flight, having been his own fault anyway. Not strong enough, he blames himself silently.

The complete dread of what he suspected to be Tobias soon creaps back into his mind. He could very well have noticed Elijah was missing, and is very capable of hunting him down, even in the dead of night. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, his guardian does hold a shadow of control over him.

Giving her a kiss on the cheek, he proceeds to whisper into her ear regretfully. "I hope that was enough for t'night. Tobes'll completely have my head on a platter if he catches me sneaking back in, but I don't want to go --"

He's cut off in mid-sentence, apparently listening for something she can't hear, but trying not to make it obvious all the same.

She finally noticed the position that the two of them were in, particularly her, and she immediately removed her legs to the ground, hips shaking her skirt back into place. Her eyes caught his and she smiled, "Eh... Not used to dropping from the sky tis all..."

Her eyes halflidded when his lips pressed to her skin, his affections causing her to calm down much quicker.

And then he seemed to tense up again, her suspicions confirmed when he spoke once more, heart falling with a light sigh. "You're leaving so soon?" THe teen quickly searched her brain for a possible way to keep him there, and without much of a second thought, she pulled him down into a yearning kiss.

Keeping her lips to his for as long as possible, she finally pulled back with sigh, fingers playing through his hair again. "Maybe... Maybe Slush or Isto could talk some sense into him..." The teen gave him a hopeful gaze, free hand moving to find his, to keep him there with her.

When she releases from him, he feels the sense of loss immediately. Too much fogs his senses, too much to pay attention to. Closing his eyes tightly, he flashes them open to endulge in another look at her.

"It wouldn't be good if y'did that. He - I failed to mention anything about you, so he just thinks I've been doing this as means of defiance against his authority rather than for a real purpose." He has since shoved his hands into his pockets, fingering the pendants with one hand while keeping the other in a fist.

His eyes wander to the left momentarily, catching onto another sound. "I should go," he admits with a pained tone.

"Oh... I see..." Zanna didn't know how to really take the fact that he hadn't told his guardian about her, since X knew about the two of them and didn't really care either way. This was all confusing her, but she pushed the feeling aside and gave a forced smile. She really didn't want him to leave, especially since she probably wouldn't see him in a while.

"Just a bit longer...?" She gave him a hopeful look as the toe of her boot scuffed at the snow, hands moving to run over the fur on her skirt nervously. It was always so weird how he was the only one the teen got antsy around, and the only one she could let go around as well.

"...You know... Since I probably won't see you for another several weeks..." Her tone held a light bit of bitterness to it, but she covered it up with a sigh and a light mutter under her breath. "M'sorry... missed you..."

Elijah doesn't hestitate to comply. Completely aware of probably how long they'd be separated after this fiasco, and making a mental note after noticing her reaction to his not telling Tobias, his lips are on hers no faster than he can manage it. Whether from the lust of the situation or passion for her, his hand guides up her side to a compromising level before breaking off for air.

He doesn't move away, rather he presses his forehead against hers and watches his breath as it puffs out into the now-frigid night air. His hand slides down nearly to her waist again.

"No.. I'm sorry," he hisses slowly, almost breathless. "Y'damn don't deserve this, me being as flighty as I am.." With another intake of air, he pulls away from being so close to her face in order to look her into her eyes, his own pained with regret for ever putting her in this position with him.

Completely taken by surprise, it took several seconds for her to get her act together and return the kiss with the same passion, matching his fevered motions for as long as they lasted. Her one hand moving to trail through his hair that she loves so much and keeping him closer.

Her eyes searched his while they were as close as they were, closing briefly while he spoke and opening once more when his voice ceased. "It's not your fault that Tobes locks you up like prisoner..." She growled lightly in her throat when she mentioned his compulsive guardian.

Catching the blue irises with her own more clearly when he moved back, she gave him a light smile. "But I'm so happy when you're around..."

Elijah straightens up slightly, figuring he'll adopt her frame of mind for the time being. "You're right, but he's the one that makes the rules that I've gotta follow," he states with a slight glance to the side.

Kissing her gently but hurriedly, he breaks off and takes a few stumbling steps backwards without looking.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Zanna," he blurts out, kicking off into hesitant flight. He stays there, above her head, his sore but rested wings doing the work. Truly devistated to leave her out here alone, he doesn't find the strength to tear away from the scene immediately.

After the kiss, her arm outstretched to follow his steps back till she could no longer reach him, the appendage finally falling to her side as she watched him push off the ground and take to the air. Sighing, she gave him a pained wave as she watched him prepare to leave, "You're always welcome to visit... I'm glad you could come out though, even if it was for but a little bit..."

Even though she was grateful, Zanna still was selfish and simply wanted him to stay with her, just like he had stayed with her for several days weeks ago.

Elijah flies so his face is level with hers, though he isn't upright or on the ground again. "Don't you go frowning, Zanna, you're a ton prettier when you're smiling."

He reaches out and taps her on the nose, falling backwards through the air to be pressed up against his wings in their protest. Giving a look over his shoulder, he waves to her in finality.

"Take care. I -- I really care about you, so don't let anything happen while I might be gone."

Gaining altitude, he waits until he's out of earshot, admitting something inaudible.. perhaps it's not the time for her to hear, but it felt right to say, even if she couldn't hear it. And with that said and done, he's merely a spot in the sky before the darkness swallows him.

Zanna laughed at his comment and his position, moving to bite his finger playfully when he tapped her nose, chuckling again with his airborne acrobatica antics.

Her laughter died when his next comment hit her, but she quickly shrugged it off and nodded, "I'll do that..." The teen would've added more, but he was already out of earshot by the time she thought of what to say. Instead she just watched him fly away till he was nothing but a speck, sighing and wrapping her arms around her waist before heading back home.

Sevati had somehow found her and was now flying above her, having watched the intire scene with intrest, quietly following the teen as she made her way home.

Zanna's Journal
I consider myself very confused at the moment. Sevati and my training being my only comfort when Elijah's not around.

And I hate it.

I hate not being around him, not seeing his smile, or catching the small rufflings of his wings. I hate not being able to smell him and taste him even, kiss him or just be with him.

Why am I this weak?!

To think that a MALE could make me feel this way, make me miss him so much, want him to the point where it feels like needing.

I just don't understand it, and it's ******** frustrating.

I want to be around him, but I don't want to be so... dependent on someone, because I'm not a dependent woman... Right?

He's the only male I know that's stronger than me, so that means I should be able to depend on him right?

But what if I don't want to be a dependent woman?

I just want to be with him, because then... all these crazy complexities go away, and I'm just... It just feels right you know?

He makes me insanely happy, right up there with cheesecake and training, maybe even up there with manipulating people a bit.

That reminds me, I need to talk to Ura sometime soon, see if he's been training at all. Lazy ********. Hopefully he's gotten over Rora too.

Back to the point of this entry.

Men shouldn't have power over me. ESPECIALLY if I'm some sort of queen!

But Elijah's okay because he doesn't try and take advantage of me, we don't have to say anything about it all either... It's understood, he's mine and I'm his...

We don't call it dating or any of that bullshit, we're just... eachothers...

Even when it seems so simple it's just so ******** confusing and complicated.

Especially with his guardian keeping him in some sort of prison. Now that ******** pisses me off to NO end... Makes me want to go over there and kick Tobes' a**, show him who really matters... Considering he doesn't even know of me...

But I'm afraid then Elijah would never be seen again, and then I'd be in a rather foul mood for a good long time.

Or something like that.

Well ******** all this right now, I think I'm going to go to the Shoppe and see if there's anyone there for my greater ******** hormones.

"This is the place." Huni explained, leading the way towards the Through the Looking Glass antique store. Relief flooded the woman upon arriving at the store, the stares she and what had formerly been her necklace were getting unnerved her.

"My what a drab shop it is, it definately requires a touch of flare." the teen in the royal blue trenchcoat declared. His leather boots tapped in disapproval upon Durem's streets, while he dabbed at his temples with his semi-sheer orange kerchief.

'Hmm, it looks uninteresting enough, but then again, looks can be deceiving.' Sim thought to himself with a knowing smirk.

"Now Sam, you-"

"It's Sim mother." he corrected, his voice rising at the latter syllable of mother. Brushing off what was to have been an advice of keeping a low profile, Sim tucked his kerchief into his red pinstripe pants, and entered the store, trenchcoat flapping behind him as he walked.

'Let's see if things are as interesting here as it doesn't seem.' he grinned.

Huni stared up at the sky as Sim left her, "I'm doomed..."

Either fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how one looks at it, the Amazon teen was already in the store, lazily laying back on an armchair and throwing her throwing knives at a hand drawn target that she had made on the wall across from her. If someone hadn't been watching, the other teen may have walked into the pathway of the sharp flying objects.

Her eyes flicked once over to the extravant teen before she let another small knife fly, not even bothering to send a verbal hello, a simple nod being her only greeting.

Sim quirked a brow ever so minutely at Zanna, and subtly gave her the once over (something he intends to do to every new person he meets).

"Gracious me, wherever did you get that lovely number?" he squealed, hands clasping together as he brought them to his cheek.

From where Huni was, the red head was a little worried for Sim's safety, since the Amazon teen seemed to be able to weild her weapons with accuracy.

"Now, Sim, let's not be a bother to the young lady." she suggested.

The teen's eyebrows seemed to narrow with the once over, widening abruptly when he squealed, shrugging her shoulders absently after a bit as she let another knife fly. "The skirt's from Greece..." She mad a lazy motion to the roughly pieced fur skirt she donned before continuing, "And I grew with this top... Why? Going to give crossdressing a try?"

Even though her tone was a bit snide, she was quite amused by this fellow, eyes flicking to the other red head for a 'greeting' before returning to the taller teen. "The name's Zanna. You are?"

Huni gave a sigh of relief that Zanna had not attacked Sim, knowing that if she had been in her spot she would definately have chucked something at Sim.

"Lady Z... Darling Zan, hmmm, I can't decide which rolls off the tongue better." Sim tapped his chin thoughtfully before grinning. "I'll just have to use both!" he declared, arms sweeping upwards dramatically.

"And I? I am Lord Sammuelson Irum Me'arl." he introduced as he plucked his orange kerchief out of his pocket to give his bow an effect of sorts. "But my preferred sobriquet is Sim. If one insists on calling me by my first name, please include it all including my title." he instructed.

"Well Lordy, I prefer Zanna... Not Z, and most definately not Zan..." Her tongue clicked against the top of her mouth as she stood, moving across the room to collect her arrangement of knives in the wall. "Unless you want me to call you Sam, or even better... Sammy...?"

Once all her knives were collected, Zanna turned to him and gave him a slight smirk while she swiftly replaced her throwing knives in the two straps along her upper thighs, hiking her skirt higher to do so successfully.

"And your guardian's name?" The teen could sense he was a Simu, and most new Simu came with their guardians so she figured it was a safe assumption.

"Alright, a compromise! Lady Zanna or Darling Zanna it is then. And as for how you address me, if you truly insist on Sam or Sammy... be warned that I may not respond as quickly as you would want." he chuckled, running his fingers through his hair.

'She can call me that all she wants but I won't acknowledge her without the Lord or the rest of my name.' he thought to himself.

"And your guardian's name?"

"Oh you mean mother? The medusa back home called her Madam Huni, although she certainly doesn't have the bearing for nobility. But still, she's my guardian so I suppose it's appropriate that she be addressed as such." he shrugged.

"But enough about her, tell me more of this place. Mother claimed I came from a necklace she purchased here. Are you, perhaps, like me? A being -a fabulous one at that- who came from an antique trinket?"

Huni felt it was best to stay where she was, at the shop's entrance. Sim seemed to be handling things just fine, and seeing the weapons Zanna was carrying, she didn't want to risk saying anything wrong. But if worse came to worse, she'd drag Sim out to save his hide.

"With my aim, it's in your best interest to respond as quickly as I would want." Zanna grinned in amusement at the teen as she finished replacing her last throwing knife before reaching over and grasping her spear that had been leaning against the wall.

Leaning against her main weapon, the teen raised her eyebrow once again with the other teen's rant on 'nobility', clearing her throat before responding almost lazily. "And if you just came recently yourself, praytell how do you know that you are nobility?"

Zanna herself was pretty sure that she was a queen, but still hadn't done the research or had the dreams to confirm it yet. "Ah, I came from a mirror... Several months ago, unlike you, who came as a teen... I was a child for a while before I grew."

"From what I gather about the shoppe, is that spirits are locked away in antiques and whatnot, and then with the right guardian, a child or teen is born from them..."

"You cannot possibly expect anything Scarlet to quickly respond when you call it Pink, can you?" Sim smiled sweetly in response, one hand resting on his hip, the other softly gripping his kerchief. He mentailly chuckled at Zanna's questioning of his nobility, her point was indeed valid. But how does one explain that there are somethings you just... know? And whether or not it's true is completely irrelevant. Still, Sim believed it was always in his best interest to appear a fool.

"I am hurt, Lady Zanna! Your accusation of the ineligibility of my nobility has wounded me muchly!" He declared, free hand clutching his heart in feigned pain, "Your spear would not be able to pain me as much as your barbed words have." he adds, raising the back of his other hand to his forehead in exaggeration.

And it Zanna's words about her own origin, Sim apparently had forgotten his tyrade on nobility. "A mirror, you say? Gilded in gold and encrusted in jewels and other precious objects?" he asked, eyes shining as a magpie would when tempted with shiney things.

"But then again, I don't talk to colors..." Her eyes rolled openly at his display of 'hurt' by her words, one of her hands running through her hair absently. "I'm sure I could inflict pain far worse than you could fathom..."

Feeling amused, and in a slightly better mood, the teen moved her spear and jabbed his chest with the blunt end of the weapon. "Yes, golden and jeweled... Tis somewhere at home." A few more jabs and then she set the spear back down against the ground and leaned upon it. "You never answered my question from earlier... You trying to get into crossdressing? I could see if the Amazon's had a skirt like this in your size if you wish..."

The smirk was back, her eyes taking in his apparel for most of her talking.

Sim gave a soft oomf with each jab, he only hopes his clothes did not tear. He wasn't adept at repairing them, not yet in any case.

"Crossdressing?" Sim visibly quirked a brow, "I have always believed -in spite of my short time in existence- that genders do not exist. That only society says what we may or may not do, and in essence wear." he nodded sagely, then a mischievous sparkle in his eyes appeared,

"Although I'm certainly up for any fashion adventure! Can you truly get me a skirt in that size? I can incorporate that with the kilts I saw in one of mother's old magazines. She had this particular one lying at the very bottom of the pile and had some pages dog earred. It was a bit of a shock to find that they were picture of-"

"Sim! We have to go!" Huni exclaimed, cheeks blushing upon Sim's discovery of the magazines her 'friends' had given her as a joke-gift ages ago. Without giving the teen a chance to respond, she grabbed him by the scruff of his trenchcoat's collar and literally dragged him out.

"Already? But mother I haven't finished conversing with Darling Zanna yet." his whine softly faded into silence as the two left.

Zanna's Journal
Despite my sour mood earlier, it has be brightened somewhat by a strange male I meet at the Shoppe today. Red hair, outrageously dressed... He seemed to think rather highly of himself, to the point where he was calling himself 'Lord' something something, I didn't pay attention enough to grab the entirety of his name. I won't be calling him all of it anyways.

At first I took him as an idiot, but then, as I listened to him, I realized that he actually wasn't. No fool would be able to manipulate the English language to their bidding such as he did.

He seems to be trying to mask his intelligence by behaving as he did, extravagent and eccentric.

Unfortunately for him he didn't fool me. Instead, it makes me want to figure him out a bit, since he's putting on such a show to hide his intelligence...

Though that doesn't mean I'm not going to get him a skirt and make him cross dress a wee bit.

Because... due to my recent general mood, I could use a few laughs.

Anyways, good mood's wearing off... I'm off to do some training.

Zanna's Journal
Quick entry before I leave to explain a bit in case I don't get to write on the trip...

Neith, Rora's guardian's guardian I think, apparently bought Rora and I tickets to go on a cruise, and then bought raffle tickets for the rest of the Simu. I think 8 are going in total? Or at least that's what I heard.

As much as I dislike Rora for sleeping around with Adrian, I figure she gave me a pretty sweet weapon and this is a FREE cruise, so I'll be able to put up with her for a bit. That and Adrian won't be going, since he disappeared apparently...

But who cares about him right?

Anyways, I'm taking a carry on since I don't have much to bring along with me anyways, just the essentials.

I'll bring this journal too, but there's not guarentee that I'll be able to write and what not.

Hopefully I don't get seasick either.

Maybe Elijah will even be there? Doubtful due to his guardian.

A girl can always hope a bit though...

Ta, I have to make my goodbye rounds.

-Zanna

The teen quickly closed the book, shoving the ticket into her jacket pocket before going off to say goodbye to everyone, namely the SMs, X, and Nathan.

And then after Zanna finished up the rounds, she was gone with X to catch the boat.

Return

Weapons and bag discarded, the teen, as much as she would hate to admit, was damn tired, and slipped into a deep sleep the moment she hit her bed, covers and clothes undisturbed.

Soon she found herself in a forest, armed with a bow and a spear, quiver strapped to her back. The day was perfect for hunting, and without much of a wait a deer, a buck, was soon seen in the distance.

It was perfect and would be a worthy kill for the feast that night.

Silently and quickly, she expertly loaded and drew her bow, letting it fly as the dream suddenly went black, the sounds of screaming and crying being all that Zanna could hear. Her mind apparently blocking out the memories, if that's what they were, but the black consumed her once more.

Awakening

Sitting up with a gasp not seconds later, Zanna's knife was already in her hand as she looked around and quickly assessed the situation.

Nothing seemed to be out of place to the Simu, even though this most definitely wasn't her room.

It was a palace of sorts, it had to be. Everything was furnished so elegantly, with not a detail overlooked it seemed, but it was not like the palace in her previous dream. It seemed to have a different style.

So deep was the teen in concentration that she jumped back in surprise when a armored hand lay atop her shoulder. "Your Highness..." Somehow the voice was comforting even at its deep tenor, and Zanna automatically nodded, once again loosing control of her own body.

"Bre--"

The woman cut her off before she could speak further, "It was not of your doing. The gods took her."

Zanna said nothing, instead standing with Bremusa's prompting, finally getting a good look at her. They were both tall, seeing virtually eye to eye, as well as strong, in spirit and physically.

The other Amazon gave a slight bow before, filling her in on something that Zanna couldn't quite hear. It was like she was being pulled away, or that her mind was blocking something again.

This time Zanna fought it, straining to hear what bits and pieces that she could, and from what she could gather they were at a battle, one that was not their own to fight.

The last Zanna saw was the pair walking away, armored and with looks very much unlike the soft ones she had seen earlier.

Now the Simu was left alone, grumbling to herself about the confusion and irritation of dreams, especially when one knew it was a dream and could do nothing.

The teen continued to sleep, having not moved far from the position she had originally fallen asleep in.

To the Death

This was real.

The body count was real. The blood was real, it felt warm against her and tasted metallic. It dotted her face and unarmored parts of her, and her white steed was no different.

The sounds of battle were real, her battle cries mixing with her and her sisters' as they charged against the Greeks. All of them fought with speed and accuracy, but one by one her sisters fell. Fell because of her. Because of her mistake.

Thus she'd take as many of the b*****d men along with her. The daughter of Ares would not yield to any man's sword or spear without a fight.

The war god's daughter would not be tamed as a slave. She would die in battle, with the honor of a warrior, a woman, and an Amazon Queen.

She would not relent till her last breath.

With a swift arc of her blade that caused a matching arc of blood, the queen sliced a Greek across the chest and through his armor, leaving him to die as her horse rode on.

Before she could react, someone had thrown their spear into her horse, disabling him enough to send him to the ground and her tumbling after.

"Women do not belong on a battlefield, Amazon." A male voice, filled with his confidence and spite, saying her title as if it were an insult. Her sword was sheathed and her spear was out the moment she heard his voice, eyes quickly finding the source.

Strangely enough, no other man was trying to attack her, the battle less thick here, leaving an almost empty arena for them both.

"Weak women do not, but Amazons do." She responded, eyes watching him intensely through her helmet. "And you will learn why with your death today."

The man laughed, muscles rippling as they circled one another, both light on their feet and quick with their eyes. Two warriors born to fight. "On the contrary, today I will teach you your dutiful place as a woman..."

Without so much as a word he lunged with his spear, quick and confident and she blocked with hers, returning the attack with a grunt. Each was quick with their attacks, as well as powerful and precise. Each also had precision in their blocks and dodges.

It was clear that she was wearing down faster than he was, and in the end it was he who landed the first flesh wound, spear swiping across her thigh, causing her to stumble backwards with a cry.

Adrenaline kept her going as she bled, having no time to attend to the wound. She was slower now, unable to match his athetic leaps and thrusts with her injury.

Snapping his spear at her midsection, she managed to knock it down with her shield before using her shin armor to snap the blade clean off, and with a cry, the queen took a blow at him, cutting him across the arm and denting the front of his armor.

He glanced down at the wound and scoffed, swinging his shield up and across her spear, splintering it in half and causing the Amazon to stumble with a smirk from him.

Catching her footing, she unsheathed her sword and lunged at him, but he blocked with his own shield and quickly rolled behind her, delivering a sharp kick to the back of her knees, sending her to the ground and knocking both her shield and sword from her reach.

Breathing heavily, she tried to crawl to her sword but was stopped when he roughly kicked her over a gleam came to his eyes as a smirk curled up. Boot pinning her down by her neck, he paused for a moment, looking down at her before finally speaking again. "Like I said Amazon, women belong at home, not in war..."

Trailiing off before continuing, he reached down and grabbed her hair, pulling the queen onto her knees with a grunt and a glare from her. "Now... Amazon... I am Achilles, and I want you to remember me, remember my name, for it will be echoed through the ages. Remember it was me who killed the Amazon Queen."

"I will not beg." She coughed out, staring up at him with scorn and pride, chin tilting up as he scoffed, "Of course not."

And with that he dutifully shoved the sword into her chest, the queen coughing out blood as she reached to his sword's hilt to try and pull it out.

But she was dead before any good could come of the effort.

Zanna shot her eyes open, both hands going to her chest with a pained growl. It felt as if her entire body was on fire, all stemming from the spot in her chest, as if a hot sword has been stabbed into her.

As if her dream had been real.

The pain didn't stop, the now young adult passing out from the blinding pain before Zanna could notice the change.

He took off her helmet, to keep as a symbol of his victory, his eyes glancing down towards the fallen queen. Without thinking, his hand went to cup her cheek, thumb rubbing over her lifeless lips and then letting his fingers trail into her hair.

Achilles found her beautiful in her 'tamed' state, and at once took her in his arms, pressing his lips to hers and laying down on top of her.

His free hand found the appropriate clasps and ties for her armor, and Zanna was force to watch.

She could do nothing, only lay there and take it. Take him. Over and over again. His warm lips on her cold lips. His warm hands on her cold flesh. Zanna felt it, but she did not.

Disgusted, the Simulacra could do nothing but take it, watch him and feel him through her now dead, and lifeless body.

He would mutter to her, say things that she never wanted to hear, and something that she did, but not from him. Not now. Never like this.

The young adult was now crying freely, sheets a mess, with a glean of cold sweat on her body. She would not wake for hours, enduring his torment for every moment she slept.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
X: Nao had been returned to X, the situation having already been previously explained to the now young adult's guardian. Her bags packed, with both clothes, weapons, and Baqir's things, the cog having nearly clung to the Simu when she came home from the lovely cruise trip.

X received a sealed letter that was to go to Elijah through Sevati once she had left, and she had said her goodbyes to those she had wished too.

Finally, she arrived where she had left Nyoka, in the front living room with X, who was unusually silent than usual. Zanna blamed it on the pregnancy.

Bag over her shoulder and weapons strapped in their usual places, Zanna stood stoic when she came into the living room. "Are we ready?"

"We are." Came the strangely static voice of Baqir, who whirled to Zanna's front and allowed itself to spin lazily. The static was probably caused by Zanna's lack of being around. Either way he had insisted on coming and Zanna, feeling guilty, had allowed it.

Lenore: Nyoka nods. "If you have everything, just take my hand," she says, glancing over at X. "Don't worry, I promise to have her home in one peice. . . ." She holds out her hand, smiling a little.

X: "This is something she needs to do..." Trailing off, X gave a weak smile, moving to absently press a hand to her stomach, which currently wasn't showing much of anything. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do..." The vampire gave a forced chuckle as she watched her 'daughter'.

Snatching Baqir suddenly out of the air, Zanna shoved it under her arm and took Nyoka's hand, giving a silent nod to X, who didn't say anything more.

Lenore: Nyoka's eyes soften at X. "She'll be fine," she says, before they disappear.

Seconds later, they are in the entrance hall of the palace. Anemone is waiting, Ernia actually allowing herself to be held. As soon as Nyoka appears, Ernia holds out her hands. Nyoka relieves Anemone of her burden.

"We've made up a room for you, Zanna," Anemone starts, gesturing to the long staircase, that splits into two in the middle, each leading off in seperate directions. "If you would follow me, I am sure you want to be settled in. Then, if you want, we can have some food prepared." She smiles at the woman.

Nyoka looks over at Zanna. "If you want something to eat, I will join you. You can explain things better to me, if you are up to it?"

X: The first thing Zanna does after they blink into the palace is shake off a feeling of deja vu, her eyes scanning the room for something familiar, but was only left with a strange feeling that she couldn't put her finger on quite yet. Luckily, Anemone knocked her back to present day, and the young adult nodded towards the woman, staying silent for now.

"Food would be great... And we'll talk later. If I am as you say." Giving her a slight nod as not to seem disrespectful, the Simu let Baqir free to buzz around her and take notes of everything and everyone around them.

Turning away, Zanna followed Anemone, her eyes somewhat defiant towards someone, or something.

Lenore: Nyoka nods, and takes Ernia to the dining hall, talking to her as she goes.

Anemone leads Zanna up the stairs and to the case veering off to the right. "You're in Queen Nyoka's wing, as she asked. Her room is three doors down from yours, and across the hall, in case you needed her," she glances over at Zanna with her brown eyes. "You look as Queen Nyoka did when she first arrived here. I almost speared her and her guide," she says, smiling a little at the memory. "I hope that it fades quicker than Nyoka's did. We are only here to welcome you, and provide some help. My queen mentioned something of dreams to me, though she did not go into detail. I took the liberty of instructing Erimentha to allow you to look at her records, to see if anything will remind you of the dream." This is all said as they walks through the winding halls, through another door, and into a hall with quite a few doors in the walls.

X: Zanna followed, taking a mental note of everything that the elder Amazon said, as Baqir did the same, gem blinking excitedly while the young adult ignored him. "I know for sure one name, and he is not Amazon. The rest is, hazy at best." Her eyes glanced at Anemone's, ignoring the first comment about almost spearing Nyoka, or rather, brushing it aside for the time being. This wasn't something she cared about at the moment.

Right now she was frustrated and pained, the feeling of this place seeming to tire her from the inside out, as if her brain were on overload.

Tightening her grip on her bag strap, the Simu relaxed her set jaw somewhat before reaching up and rubbing her temple. "Do you have anything for a headache? I'm not quite used to the teleporting thing..." The second part was a lie, it had given her no trouble before with Nyoka, and never with X. But Anemone didn't know that and she'd rather her not for now.

Lenore: "Perhaps if you said his name, I might be of help to you?" Anemone says, stopping in front of a door at the very end of the hall. She opens it, and enters before Zanna, holding the door for her.

She then frowns. "Galena does. I can send for her," she gestures to a woman coming out of Nyoka's bedroom down the hall. She instructs the woman, in Greek, to send for Galena, and some remedies for headaches. "It shouldn't take her but a moment to come here. She's close," she says, her arms sweeping out in a gesture of invitation.

X: Following behind Anemone with out much ceremony, Zanna roughly sets her bag onto the floor at the end of the bed before moving next to the bed to take off a few of her less used weapons. Her chakra, a gift form Rora, as well as her bow and quiver, were carefully set on top of the bed before she turned around. "Achilles."

Her face showed no emotion, but her eyes burned of a hatred for a brief moment, until Zanna looked away and calmed herself. "Like I said. It's all I know for sure."

Baqir, the moment the room had opened, swooped in and began to search through every nook and cranny, lest there be something to fight around. Instead, he rammed himself against Zanna's spear a couple of times, signalling that he wanted to fight. "Not now." Zanna muttered with annoyance, brushing the cog away.

Lenore: Anemone has quick eyes, and she noted the hatred. That, too, reminds her of Nyoka. "If it is the same Achilles, I will have Erimentha send all the records she has on him over here, and pull books as well. If that is your desire," she was intructed by Nyoka to help Zanna in any way that she could.

Galena walks into the room. In perfect english, though it is heavily accented with an Irish accent, she says, "Where is she?"

"Zanna, this is Galena," Anemone introduces. "Zanna is a guest of ours, for as long as she likes. I hazard a guess that she just wants to remedy, and for the both of us to leave her be."

Galena's somber green eyes slide over to Zanna as she pushes a whisp of flame red hair out of her face with a milky-white hand. "Of course. I'll just leave it here, then." She places a bottle on the table next to the door before turning to Anemone. "I will be with Queen Nyoka. Fauna is up to her old tricks again, I thought it best to warn her."

"Of course," Anemone says. When Galena has left, she looks back at Zanna. "I'll leave you to it. Erimentha should have everything we have on Achilles here by tomorrow. Just call if you need anything." With that, she turns to leave.

X: "That would be great. Thanks." Growing silent, Zanna gave a slight smile to go along with the thanks, grin widening when the redhead appeared.

The young adult recognized her as the woman who had previously healed her broken leg, but before Zanna could get out much of a comment, the twin was gone again. Either way she now had painkillers of the sorts, and she stepped over to the bottle and picked it up. "How much do I take and how? I'd rather not overdose..."

Looking back up at Anemone, the Simu winced inwardly with the sharp movement, biting back the annoying pain before speaking. "I was wondering if I could get information on all neighboring cities as well, just incase..." Trailing off, she paused before continuing with a hopeful tone, "You mentioned food earlier?"

Lenore: "Oh! Galena is too worried sometimes. Just take a few drops. Your headache should go away quickly. I am sure if it continues, Queen Nyoka might have something," Anemone smiles helpfully. Listening to Zanna, she frowns a little. "There are three. Our records are not too extensive on them, they mostly deal in our city. But, Erimentha would have something on them. I'll ask her to bring them as well."

Her smile widens. "And, about food, I am sure her highness has the chef preparing something as we speak. Do you want it sent up, or would you rather go to the dining hall?"

X: Zanna listened and nodded, taking two drops immediately with a contented sigh, placing the bottle back on the counter. "Three. I see. Nyoka mentioned a visit to one tis all, figured I'd read up on them..." Shrugging as if it were nothing out of the ordinary, the young adult leaned against her spear as she continued to absently bat roughly at Baqir with her spear. The cog seemed to be quite content with the 'game' and whirled happily.

"I'd like to talk to Nyoka while I eat so dining hall it is..." Running her spare hand through her hair, she sighed at the lack of feathers, but as quick as the feeling had come, it was gone without much work. Now was not a time to think of him. This trip wasn't about him. It was about her and finding out who she was. "Shall we?" Motioning towards the way they had come, Zanna did her best to seem relatively calm about everything going through her mind at the moment.

Lenore: Anemone's brow is furrowed, but she is not one to pry. She simply nods, and leads the way toward the dining hall.

Once at the door, she gives those there a stern gaze. The servers quickly complete their jobs, leaving two bottles of wine on the table, and hurry out. "I'll leave you two alone," Anemone says softly as she goes to collect Ernia.

Ernia squacks at the move, but soon leaves quietly after a gaze from Nyoka.

"Please, sit. We're having goat," Nyoka explains, gesturing to a chair as she stands, a welcoming smile on her face. "I hope your room is comfortable enough."

X: She gestured in thanks before taking a seat across from Nyoka, eyeing the wine cautiously. "Don't let me have any of that." The teen muttered, before inhaling the more than welcoming scent. "Smells wonderful. And yes, the room is perfect."

Taking up a fork and knife, the young Simu began to eat, not realizing just how famished she was until food of this calibur was sitting in front of her. "If it weren't for anything else... I'd stay in Greece just for the food..."

Clearly she was avoiding the many subjects that needed to be discussed.

Lenore: "I can't force you not to have any, but there is water next to your plate nonetheless," Nyoka smiles again, before taking a bite of the food. Due to her constitution, she is able to eat any meat raw, no matter what it is. But, for the sake of her guest, she had this cooked rare.

She chuckles at her statement. "I am glad you like your room, and our food," she says, allowing Zanna her bit of procrastination. "I've instructed the women here that they are to take care of anything you should need, withing reason. So, if you can't find anything, or require information, or a guide for the city, just ask them if you cannot find me."

X: Smiling lightly, she paused her eating to take a drink of water from the newly pointed out glass, her face growing more serious when Nyoka informs her of the situation. "I thank you again for helping me out this much... Especially for someone with such a close background..." Trailing off, Zanna hinted to the unstated possibility that she may indeed be a reborn queen up of Nyoka's city. One that had ruled the same city as Medusa, only during a different time.

Baqir had come with her, wizzing about for a while until his mistress had given him a fairly nasty warning look with a rough hiss. "Behave." The cog never seemed to still think like a child. Maybe it was due to her abscence?

Lenore: Nyoka watches the cog a moment, thinking idly about Bane, and how she rarely sees him.

As if on cue, Bane emerges from the shadows, where he was recharging, and starts to circle Nyoka's head. She plucks him out of the air and sets him in her lap, stroking at the core in the middle absently.

"We have similar backgrounds?" she asks, cutting more of the meat, but not eating. "Would you care to explain why you believe this?" she asks.

X: "Why else would I feel so comfortable here? The vivid dreams... Not to mention how I look... It just seems logical." Flicking her eyes up to Bane, Zanna raised an eyebrow. Of all the places she'd think to see another one of these metal hellions.

Shrugging it off, she returned to her food, cutting some more of the meet before taking a bite and savoring the flavor.

Baqir seemed angry with this decision, and stalked off to under the table to find something to do, or rather something to attack.

Lenore: Nyoka chews on the goat thoughtfully, allowing Bane to leave her lap. He continues to circle her head, his core flickering at times. "It seems logical," she admits. "Have you had any dreams of late that make you think it is more likely than not?"

X: "Achilles," She sighed, looking back up to the Fa'e, "Does that name mean anything to you? He apparently was the one who killed me, in battle. I was with what you speak of as 'sisters', women like me... " Trailing off, Zanna suddenly lost her appetite at the flashes of said dream, so she set her fork and knife down and simply took a few sips of water. "He was Greek. A warrior. One who apparently killed an Amazon queen in battle. That was all I could find on him...."

Lenore: Nyoka sets her own silverware aside, and leans back in her chair, Bane accomodating the move. She frowns, however, at Zanna's sudden lack of appetite. "Is there something you aren't telling me?" she asks, then waves her hand. "Nevermind, I am prying. No, Achilles means nothing to me. I know of him, I was alive when he was alive. I never had occasion to meet him. I think by the time he was in the Trojan war, I was already in my cave. Anemone would have offered Erimentha's assistance in that department, I am sure," she adds. "You'll get to the bottom of this, I know you will. I had a guide, and I am hoping that my sisters and I can be a sort of guide to you."

X: "He just sickens me... I don't like being weak." It was a very vague and rushed explanation as she tried to push away a particular scene from her dream. She wasn't nearly at all ready to mention it, much less talk about it after eating. "She has already offered, so I should be able to study by tomorrow... But is there anyway I can get a workout in tonight? Practicing usually calms me somewhat..." Looking up at Nyoka, she pushed her plate away and took another gulp of the water, attempting to soothe her nerves. "Hopefully, he has not been reborn like I have..." If he had been, she'd just have to train for their meeting.

Lenore: Deciding to share a part of her that she really only shares with those close to he, Nyoka takes a fortifying sip of her wine. "There were a lot of things I had to face when I remembered my past," she starts. "One of them being reliving my rape, feeling it, and dealing with the consequences. Then, when I came here, I had to face him again, and I killed him. Poseidon," she provides.

She pauses, and shakes her head. "Anyway, yes, I can show you to the training facilities," she says, standing. "Unless you want instruction, I can leave you to it."

X: She stayed silent for a while, eyes holding Nyoka's while she spoke, only to cast her eyes downward with a pained sigh. "I'm sorry that happened to you..."

Pushing a stray hair behind her ear, the young adult stayed silent a bit longer before finally speaking again, this time in a light, strained voice. "What if you were dead? Is it even rape then?" Closing her eyes for a moment, Zanna reopens them with a wave of her hand. "Nevermind that, take me to the training facilities."

Lenore: Nyoka's eyes soften considerably, and she forces whatever tears that were trying to surface away, and nods her head. "Just follow me," she says softly, her stomach sick now, though she doesn't show it. She starts to lead them out of the palace.

Once outside, she walks around the side of the palace. She nods to the guard at the gate to the back, and she opens the door. Nyoka leads them through the door, and to her own, private, training area. "I don't use this one as much as I should, preferring to train with the soldiers. But, if I am incorrect in my thought that you might need to be alone right now, I can send for a soldier or two, or Iphigenia should you want her."

X: Following her silently with Baqir zipping in tow, the young adult said nothing until the Fa'e spoke to her, feeling it best not to make the situation any more tensed than it may have been. "Send her later. I'd rather be alone for at least an hour... maybe more." Zanna planned on tiring herself out to the point that her sleep that night would be dreamless.

So much to deal with right now for the Simu, and she decided it best to channel it all into what she did best, fighting.

Baqir was excited, feeding off the need his bond was feeling, one that he recognized immediately. It was what he had been trying to get her to do all day! Even then, the cog still somehow managed to stay silent, quivering in excitement as he waited for the other one to leave.

Lenore: Nyoka nods again. "I'll let her know," as she turns to leave, she rests her hand on Zanna's shoulder. "If you think that this won't help you out of the dream world, see me before you go to sleep. I still have nightmares, when I have been stressed. I keep a supply of potions ready for those occasions, to keep the dreams away." With that, she leaves to seek out Iphigenia. Nyoka needs some training, now, as well.
