Alpha himself had made very little reaction to her movements, and very little movement on his own vocation. He stood there with hands folded behind his back in a rather military position. It was harder to tell with his features, but if he had a nose he'd be constantly looking down it.
"You grasp the concepts child, but you do not understand the application entirely." A neutral tone despite Alpha's normal hint of self worth, "This world is not so simple that cause of winning equals the effect of reward. That would require a balanced, as you called it, world. This universe is inatley unbalanced, as the few have convinced the many the balance they beleive in is the only balance worth thought."

Tellus managed to hide a smile, barely; but it was difficult. "It's unbalanced because people don't understand the concept that you can't entirely destroy everything, nor can something be created from nothing. Instead, it's a matter of extremes for them...but again, I'm just a child." She turned over her shoulder and did give Alpha a smile.
"I can't say it was nice meeting you, but it was interesting. If you'll excuse me, I have plants to attend." And whether he excused her or not, she'd walk away; back to her plants which she had discovered and would remain caring for until Ra'kar called for her.

Old John narrowed his icy blue eyes at the girl - before turning back to the bookcases, running his fingers up and down the myriad of spines, resuming his search.
The appearance of the little girl had been exactly what he had been expecting - typical demon trickery. What kind of place would this be, to have children roaming the halls?
No, the old man knew better then that. So he tried his best to ignore the little girl, not answering her, and kept his eyes on his goal.

"No child, you can never completely destroy anything." There was a note of amusement bouncing around in the empty corridors of Alpha's voice, "That has not stopped even the most fundamental powers of this universe from attempting that very feat... Failure, really."
He let her turn away, as he had every intention of doing so momentarily.
"Your mistress will return soon, and perhaps like the others you will realise what stake the Shades have in this alliance. If you truly believe yourself not a fool like others, remember that we are not destroyers... No, we are restorers of balance." With that he turned unaffected by the essence child's charms, "Existence as you know it, your plants and your beauty, was created from an act of imbalance. The universe that never was sometimes must simply rebel."

"And if you believe that, I pity you, Sir. There is no such thing as balance and yet at the same time, that's all there is, and if you can't see that, you don't see anything." But her words were barely whispered. It was likely he wouldn't even hear it.
"Poor being. Every choice we make moves us further and further from the beginning and back towards it. Everything is a cycle. Even if his balance is restored, it would not last long, and not because of anything anyone does, but because of the nature of itself." She was really talking to herself, as she bent to kneel beside a plant that someone had carelessly torn, healing the minor wound with as much care as she would for a fellow Gaian.
Maybe her thinking was skewed, but then again, so was everyones, based one how they grew up, and their influences. It was by realizing that, that one was able to see past the fact. By realizing it, you can not claim ignorance when next the choice comes up...unless there is nothing there...but even the nothing is something.
Tellus sat down, reclining in the plants, simply enjoying the presence of such unpretentiousness. You can remain ignorant of your actions and how they affect others for only so long, Tellus.

"The universe begins, and the universe ends. I was once told those were the only two certain events, and that they would happen a countless amount of times." Alpha too was walking away thus these words were probably for himself and himself alone, "To think I thought there may have been some hope for you."
One armoured hand reached out and pierced the warp of the island. The raw force was more obedient to the shadelord this time. Rather than forcibly stretch the warpstorm into what he required, the small hole he created grew out from his wrist into a portal near instantly.
"My prejudices are usually well founded though. I do not see why she would have been any diferent."
With that he stepped through and the warp doorway closed behind him with a violent snap. There was work to do, it was time to visit Victor once more.

There was much to be done, yes, very very much to be done still before things could begin. The new Knight was busy busy working to collect the elementals together... not a small task as Rho would know as he had killed many to do the same in ages past when he held it.
"Gee... hee... Rho. Rho."
The shade slunk along the ceiling of a dimly lit chamber; watching as Murmillion troops passed back and forth through the hall and wondering with each new face whether or not he could take one and have it not be missed. The Victor did have so many, after all, and Rho could only eat one or two at most.
Rho did not like the Victor. Rho never liked the new ones. Rho never liked the way they held his sword as if it was theirs, as if they were the only one who ever had. But even Rho saw why the Victor had been chosen by them. It was his lust for the power to overcome evil. It was his pride that had been broken at the hands of those whom the world loved in his place. It was all the ways in which the Victor was the same as the others, the same as Jon.
If the Victor truly wanted that power, he would not be disappointed. It was time for the world to change again, and the voice would guide the Victor until his task was complete.
Cackling like a stony brook, Rho slunk across the ceiling and into the darkness; finding a fissure in the Void to take him back to Gaia.
Rho was hungry and bored.

That emptiness... bidding farewell to the ties severed.
In the length of darkness... humanity is tested once more...as destruction approaches.
Ezekiel 1:3
Eden.
No one could say for sure who made it, the truth lost to the annals of time, or where it is located. However, it had been said that only those with a strong will and a willingness to bet their own lives could reach it, let alone a means to find it.
And it was Victor who had finally claimed this forgotten land.
All as a means to atone for his past sins, and cleanse the curse of his bloodline.
If you are at all confused about Victor's goal, he wanted to first destroy the curse placed upon his body, having killed his father in the belief that the curse would be released. This was not the case, and he was forced to flee from his own country.
Trying to unearth the secrets of the curse itself, he then accidentally caused his brothers betrothed to become corrupted with what remained of the same madness that had driven his father insane. Attempting to slay her before she betrayed them all, he was forced to fight his own brother. It ended with her death and injuries to both brothers, creating a rift between them.
Seeking to atone for the atrocities committed both in his servitude of his father and his acts following the patricide, he sought solace in the ultimate goal of wanting to destroy everything associated with DESTRUCTION, the source of all the negativity on Gaia, as well, including himself. He also doesn't care how many people he has to kill to do so, as in his mind, the end result justifies the means.
Victor had long since left the more presentable, if not habitable, section of the ruined Keep.
The lands as well as what structures remained had long ago been ravaged, according to legend, by the wrath of the gods themselves. However a bit of the beauty that had once been Eden was still preserved.
It was one such place that Victor was headed for himself at the moment. It resembled many other places of worship, yet it was like nothing else. A magnificent palace of water that seemed to contain an archaic form of architecture known only to it's builders in a time period long since buried.
The great volume of water that flowed through it was always circulating and pure, and it had been said that it cleansed those who come here to pray. The same waters that flowed within the chamber also fed into the Garden nearby, which also placed Victor in unknowing proximity to both the Shade Knight and Tellus. It was only the towering edifice of hewn stone, that separated the two chambers from one another. An edifice marred with markings and scrawling of a civilizations long dead language.
Victor had found himself seeking solitude within this place more and more often, as if trying to calm the ever encroaching darkness within his very being, the inhuman power which he had invited something no mere human had ever been meant to have.
"So there's... no way for me to do this with you...is there Vahn?"
His words hung out hollowly, even as he stared down into the reflective waters. Yellowed eyes continued to stare even as the unmistakable aura of something heavy seemed to cloud over his form. He could feel the weight of the jet black sword within his mind, the cold sweat that ran along the back of his neck, and the constant reassurances of a hand moving to rest against the hilt every now and then.
It was only his immense will that seemed to keep TFO at bay and from completely devouring him whole and making him a mindless slave.
He was sure that dark power would fade into nothingness when the task was completed, and he would be free of this pact. But until then, he held steadfast.
He had to, or it would all be for naught.
"...?" Victor turned his head to the side, sensing the approach of the relay. With each passing day, his connection with the blade increased, and so too with the power that fed said blade.
He seemed at first annoyed that the thing had found him, but wasn't as reluctant as he might have normally been to entertain it and actually see what it said.
The idea of letting the relay deliver it's message was a favorable one.
"Now things can become a bit more interesting..."

Exit Alpha.
Enter Ra'kar.
The demoness had long since returned from their little envoy to Sorrow's Keep. After freshening up she had come to seek out her Synmalthin as promised, only to find her engaged in some semblance of deep conversation with the Shadelord.
:: Interesting. ::
She had thought to herself. Ra'kar as usual was silent in her arrival, not making herself known unless she wanted to be.... and in this instance she had decided to eavesdrop. It would prove useful to her, to hear what Tellus would say without her pressence. How much had the bond strengthened? How loyal was the blue haired girl really?
As Tellus and Alpha exchanged wit, Ra'kar listened. A test.
And that test was passed.
Alpha left, to find Victor most likely... and Ra'kar emerged. Slipping behind Tellus and wrapping her arms around the blue haired girl's waist. Placing her head over her right shoulder from behind and kissing her cheek she purred.
"I missed you pet."

The blue eyed relay floated calmly as Victor took in the news. It simply bobbed there in the air and blinked, the only thing was after one of those blinks the eye changed from solid blue to solid red. That small occurrence as well as the gathering of warp energy nearby signalled that the shade commander was looking for the islands master.
The shade spun through the air as if to draw attention to the figure that had just appeared sparsely a few meters from Victor. The floating red eye settled behind the shoulder of the armoured figure as it made slow steps towards the pure water. It couldn't be told from the expressionless face of the shadelord, but Alpha was in no way as impressed with the pool as Victor was.
"The plan is in motion." the inflectionless voice gave no sign if this was for good or for ill, "Your brother will be lured, and if his skill matches the rumour surrounding him he will not fail in ridding us of a minor inconvenience."
Alpha paused for a moment allowing for any statements on Victor's behalf, but he would soon continue with his voice free of emotion or intent.
"May I suggest we take this opportunity to acquire an item that could be of great use to you?"

Tellus froze, not saying a word. She didn't feel guilty about what she'd told Alpha, but she also hadn't expected to 'invade' what she was becoming to feel was her 'space'. The multi colored braids fell in front of her face, covering a deep blush as she responded.
"Mistress...", her smile pleasant, if perhaps a bit distant as her hand came up from the soil, and she dusted her hands so as to not sully her mistress's skin. "I hadn't realized you were back already."

"....."
He had not bothered to turn fully when Alpha entered, he had begun to truthfully forget half the time that the Shades were even there, as if having become accustomed to their presence. As if it felt right for them to be there and they were always...supposed to be there.
Vahn...
Yellowed eyes finally turned away from the waters, the Murmillion turning and regarding Alpha. He had asked nothing about Henry, nor gave any indication that isle had been visited by the enigmatic man.
"I was under the impression that we had all we needed here." He regarded the Shade carefully, knowing that he was playing a dangerous game.

"It would be foolish to say that Eden was inadequate," Alpha's had long realised that Victor was much better at resisting the influence than past wielders, "This device would work in tandem with our considerable resources, not replace them."
Alpha stopped a comfortable distance from Victor, not enough to make it seem he was asserting dominance but enough to loom. The relay wasn't content to hide behind the shadelord, upon Alpha's pause it began to float and dart once one. It ran circles around the pool, observing both Victor and Alpha from a variety of angles and distances.
"But more importantly Lord Fah, would be the tactical blunder of leaving the device where it stands." The one red eye looking down on Victor narrowed, "It is a device that could potentially interfere with Eden's method of travel, an aspect of the island vital to you finding your target. I do not think it prudent to leave such an item in an enemy stronghold."

Ra'kar purred into Tel's ear, before slowly kissing down her neck.
"I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer than I had, you seemed so lonely when I departed earlier."
The demoness drew Tellus firmly against her and hugged her, one arm wrapped about her and the other stroking tendrils of blue, black and platinum hair.
"How're you feeling pet?"

Tellus turned and pressed her face into her mistress' arm, hiding the tears that formed but would never fall. "I want to go home. I want to see my mother, my son, my daughter, my brothers." Once she felt she'd gotten control of herself, she pushed away from Ra'kar.
"I can't tell if what I feel for you is real or not..."She motioned to the plants all around them, from the exotic to the ordinary. "These plants...some of them have been extinct on Gaia for eons...but here, trapped and guarded, they are kept away from anything that might harm them. But they aren't really alive. They're just pieces in a museum." Her hand reached out, even as one rested on Ra'kar's knee, that need to touch the demoness still there even as she tried to explain why she had to leave.
"Life is for the living..."
