i think you should leave out any FF characters right now, and just stick with the Sora/Sora/Riku introductions. maybe have Sora1 and Riku take Sora2 back to Sora1's house, and then put in that dream/make-out scene in there. if you wanna keep going past that then have Sora2 wake up. dont have him freak out and attack anybody, but how anyone would act and have the 'what the hell is going on?' persona. ya know? and Sora1 and Riku can ask him what his name is, then they can be all 'what the hell?' too. i dont know. just throwing something out there for you. hope i was of some help. good luck!

yea. he could be all 'who the hell are you? what the hell is going on?' he could be antsy. ya know, like really jumpy and on edge. maybe he could even mutter to himself. like, go through everything that happened up to that piont to try to figure out whats goin on. then he could go into denial and think its a dream or something. and sora1 and riku could just be standing there staring at him like 'omigod hes psycho' i dont know. im kinda tired so im not very creative right now. i hope that you can sort someting out though cuz im really anxious for the next chapter! its gonna be so great! i know it will be, i believe in you. you can do it!

I really love your idea and plot from just reading the sample on the first page...Your idea is very interesting and unique, and you can totally work on it, even though it will be a bit challenging...But you can overcome it!! 3nodding

Okay, you guys have gotten me inspired! blaugh Here's my latest attempt at the beggining of chapter two - an introduction, of sorts, and the first (and sadely last, for a long time) we're going to get to see (er, hear?) KH2!Riku for quite some time.

Note: COMPLETELY UNEDITED, ROUGH DRAFT FORM. MOST GRAMATIC ODDITIES, INFORMALITY, ETC. DONE ON PURPOSE. ...Just thought I'd make that clear. lol. sweatdrop



Hm...

Dark void? Check.
Complete lack of presence other than myself? Check.
Doom-inspiriting music in the background? ...Not check. Thank god.

...Damn, it's quite though.

Sora stared up (out? down?) into the nothingness, aware of the fact that he seemed to be A) disembodied, and B) was probably asleep.

This did not by any means comfort him.

He shifted (how could he shift without a body...?), turning to face somewhere... else... as he felt... something... appear in that general direction. Hesitantly, he willed himself closer, wondering what it was that had suddenly materialized. He couldn't see it - just... sense it. So vaguely... just on the fringe of his awareness. But he knew there was definitely something there.

Hello?

A flash of silver in the back of his mind-- a sense of... familiarity.

Riku? Is that you?

A sudden hush through the silence, if such a thing were possible, fell. Faintly, so far off, he heard... yes, he heard someone - distinctly a person now, not just a 'thing'.

Sora...!? Sora, where are you!?

He winced as the 'voice' (if it could be called that) suddenly seemed much louder, practically assaulting his awareness of it after such long silence....

...Silence?

Why was it silent, anyway?

S-stop it... that h-hurts...

It came out almost as a whimper, Sora suprised by the near-pleading tone in his... voice. There was nothing for a moment, and the brunette started wondering if the essence - person - whatever it was, had dissapeaered entirely.

Sora? Sora, I need to know where you are. Answer me, please!

I... I don't know... It's... dark....

He felt... tired, suddenly. Like he was straining to hold on to a cliff, or... trying to grasp at some forgotten dream.

Riku... you are Riku, right?

His voice was fading. He didn't know why, or what that meant, but... he couldn't really imagine that it was a good thing.

Yeah - yeah, it's me. Just hold on, okay? I... I don't know what happened, but I'm going to find you - I promise, okay?

Was that... hysteria, in his voice? How... odd....

I...

Sora! Sora, stay with me, okay!? You can't break the connection-- not yet, I need to figure out where you are first--

Riku... I don't... I don't understa...


Everything shattered.

Okay, next part... for the record, all of the formating is dead, because posting this stuff eliminates it, and I don't feel like going through and sticking in all the little html... ^^" So, here - it's unedited, but uh... I think it's okay so far, and if all goes well it'll let me use some parts of the story I had labled as 'deleted scenes' a while ago...


Riku almost fell flat on his face when the unconscious brunette suddenly started screaming at the top of his lungs without any warning whatsoever. He let out a violent curse as he tripped and ended up slamming to the ground on his knees, a sharp jolt of pain running through him from the impact. The boy started struggling abruptly, as if trying to untangle himself from something, falling off of the silver-haired boy's back and onto the ground. Mercifully it was a very short drop at least, the screaming brunette seeming completely unaffected by it. On the other hand, it might have been better if it had woken him up, because within seconds his hands were clenching over where his heart was, an expression of horrified pain on his face. And still, he screamed - and the sound went like a knife through Riku's heart, the utter devastation in the sound making him shake, his breath hitching as he finally registered the one single word that seemed to be the focus of the boy's cries.

It was his name.

Panic set in as he acted without thinking, pulling the other boy to his chest and holding him tightly as if he could chase the nightmares away, his arms curled tightly around him, running down his back soothingly as he tried to calm him.

"Sora, Sora, I'm here - I'm here, it's Riku..."

The boy was muttering under his breath now, screams replaced by dry broken sobs as he buried his face into Riku's chest, one hand still clawing at his own heart while the other raised up to press gently against where the silver-haired boy's was. Riku tried to decipher what the other was saying as he rocked him back and forth in his lap like a scared child, murmuring words of comfort, but he could barely understand a word of it - it was so garbled, it sounded like he kept switching languages, English one moment, then something that sounded Asian, and then something that didn't sound like anything he had ever heard before...

Through it all though, he kept hearing his name... over and over, called with such...

He blinked and stilled as he realized that the sobs had quieted down now, the boy shaking quietly in his arms instead.

"Sora...?"

He gently raised the boy's face up to meet his, eyes softening as he saw that he was truly asleep now, not unconscious... His placed a hand on a tear-stained cheek, gently wiping away the salty tear trail with his thumb. He felt... strangely guilty, though he couldn't imagine why... Riku let out a tired sigh as he looked over at Sora, who he now realized had been behind him the whole time, a hand on his shoulder.

"Sora..." He closed his eyes for a moment, before opening them again, sea-green meeting the sky. "...Thanks." Sora just nodded, moving in front of Riku as the two boys worked together to gently raise the now-sleeping boy off the dirt path and back into the silver-haired boy's arms, the unaware brunette shifting slightly and wrapping his arms around Riku's neck as he buried his face in his chest. He blushed ever so slightly at the action, a few wisps of silver hair moving in front of his eyes as he leaned over a little, so as to hide the pink tinge that colored his cheeks. Well... if nothing else, it would probably be easier to carry him now, right?



It's a bit slipshod - parts of it deffinitly need to be extended and edited, and I'd like to get some more description in there... Also, I think I need to stick in some sort of... evidence of the passing of time. I dunno, when I read it, it takes about five seconds, so I think I need to put something in along the lines of "as the minutes passed", or something like that...
