Rivera gave a low laugh. "I've never even met anyone from it. There won't be any friends there... I've heard of the Kaa-ferrvyne's harshness when it comes to justice. They are quite ruthless." She bit into a brownie thoughtfully, "That was the clan of my grandfather..." She recited the story that her mother had told her countless number of times. "He was the heir to the chiefdom... the prince of the dragon clan. However, he hated the strict codes and wanted freedom... so he left and concealed himself as a human. It wasn't long before he got used to living as a human and married a human wife and had a single son. The Kaa-ferrvyne finally hunted them down and killed them all. The son survived somehow, and was raised by wolves... It wasn't long before he discovered his wings and learned of his heritage through the voices of bards. In seeking full freedom from the Kaa-ferrvyne, he tried to flee to Aeterranchise. My mother, at that time, was quite agitated at my father. She was walking on the shore when the half-dragon arrived, half dead, an illegal immigrant. She tended to him in secret, fell in love and bore him a child. When it was discovered that the child was illegitimate, he was hunted down and exiled from Aeterranchise. However, the empress pled for my safety and I was allowed to remain in the court." She finished the other half of the brownie and took to the blood, draining it quickly before grabbing another brownie from the tray. "My father's name is Eridde... I am almost certain that he is alive, but most possibly imprisoned... They will have discovered of my existence, and they will most likely wish for me to live within the Clan's territory from now on."

"So you are of that clan by blood..." Kira said quietly, finishing off his brownie. He took everything into consideration. "So... If I do storm the place... I guess you'll want me to retrieve your father..." He said quietly. "And we both know I'm not going to let them force you to live on their grounds for the remainder of your days... So... Anything else you want to say about this? I'm all ears..." He said quietly.

"No hasty moves, Kira." She shook her head, "If my mother is right in saying that my father and I think alike, there is a good chance that he is doing this as part of his plan. If he's evaded the Kaa-ferrvyne for that long, and then suddenly gets himself caught, stalls and then lets it slip that I exist... then there must be a good reason for it. He knows very well that Aeterranchise is gone, and that I had been entombed in Britan, near Stonehenge. He may have used this situation as a ploy to bring us together again without sudden occurances." Rivera sighed and leant back against her chair. She was tired and she wanted to rest again... she felt pathetic for being so weak after that fight. She just slept for five days... it's not even been an hour yet and she was tired again.

"I still get the feeling that even if it is a plan of his... It could just be a trap by the Kaa-ferrvyne... Regardless... I shall respect your wishes... M'lady..." Kira said respectfully with a bow. He had never addressed her as such seriously, but he was being serious with this one time. He had every reason to seriously call her by a respectful title at this time in his opinion. "But anyways... On to us and right now... You look tired... You want me to lift you up into the bed?" He asked softly.

Rivera cast him a grateful look. "That would be lovely... but don't bother with such formalities, Kira. You are my fiance. I never liked being treated as royalty or nobility. I wasn't cut out for the part." She reached out to take his hand, bringing his fingers to her lips and kissing them gently. "You... however... will always remain my prince... even if your charm is dimished by your dilatory common sense." She teased him, tacking on the joke at the end. Kira was a bit of a... brute force, fun loving sort of guy, a bit emotional, a tad slow in some places, but much better than the average... besides, she loved him. How can she not? They've been through too much together, shared too many laughs and too many hurts.

"You're not cut out for the part, but your more lovely than anything from a Cinderella story... And thousands of times more interesting." Kira said simply. He enjoyed her sense of humor, even when he was the subject of it, and knew that in comedy, everyone was going to get offended at some point. But then again, that's what makes it funny. "Alright... I'm going to lift you up now okay?" He asked as he was in the act of picking her up and hoisting her into the bed, putting the linens over her. He then proceeded to change into a pair of loose sleeping pants and got into the bed with her, pulling her close against himself gently. "G'night then... I love you..." He said gently while laying down with her.

Rivera moved to snuggled a little closer to him, a small smile on her face. He had such soft, fluffy wings. The true angel... vampiric, yes. Dark, yes. Completely mentally thrown off when bloodthirsty, definitely. But of course... loving, won't have him as otherwise. She reached out to wrap her arms around his neck and pull herself closer to him, resting her cheek close against his chest, her head tucked under his jaw against his neck. She never wanted to let go of him... never... < >
Rivera opened her eyes and pushed herself up slowly on her arms. Maybe she could try to walk a little... Her legs still won't move. Guess when they said a week or two, they meant a week or two, not... 8 hours... Whatever. She glanced at the clock. Lovely... she had time to study for that exam of hers before spring break. Some spring break this'll be... being stuck with dragons. Taking her Genetical Variation texbook from the shelf above her bed, she opened it up to a bookmarked page, put on her reading glasses from the shelf and began to scan the pages.

Kira stirred and rolled over, waking up a few minutes after he turned. He sat up and yawned, stretching out for a minute as he woke up. His greyish eyes scanned the room sleepily and rested on Rivera, who was studying. Huh... All this and she can still manage to study peacefully... He thought with a slight smile, then he noticed something different about her. Glasses? He thought with a smile and gently took them off of her face. "Wow... I had no idea you wore glasses..." He said, trying them on to see how thick they were. It wasn't as if he had a problem, he was just curious since he had just found out something about his fiancee that he didn't know.

Rivera felt his hand brush her face as he took off her glasses. "Oh, I got them when I started using the chaos continuum too much. It was screwing with my sight." She replied softly. Rivera never told anyone that she wore glasses. She never liked contacts because they were close enough to mess up her scrying magic and misdirect things. She didn't like glasses either, but she had to get them. She was farsighted. "I don't look too strange in them, do I?" She leant over to give him a little peck on the cheek. The glasses were rimless, rectangular shaped and had clear plastic sides that made it seem just about invisible. Yet at the same time, they were perfectly clearly there.

Kira smiled. "Of course not! You look like a smart kind of beautiful." He said with a smile. He examined the glasses and found the design quite interesting. He placed them back onto her face and looked at the book. "So, what are we studying this fine morning?" He asked with humor tugging at his voice. He figured that if Rivera was going about life normally, he would try to too.

"Genetic splicing, basically." She sighed. "And the sorcery involved with it..." Rivera stuck her tongue out at the page, obviously looking at it with distaste. "The test's in a few days and I'm nowhere near ready. I'll have to rely on a photographic memory for this." She quickly flew through the chapters. In about twenty minutes, she snapped the book shut and was about to get off the bed when she once again remembered. "Crap... I can't walk. Damnit..." She glared at the fridge and threw out her hand willing it to open. A giant double chocolate chip cookie flew out and arrived at her hand. She broke off a half and handed it to Kira. "Want some? It has white chocolate."

Kira took the half of the cookie she offered and bit into, enjoying the taste of the white chocolate. "Genetics this time huh? I never really studied anything like that, but I did study living alchemy for a few months when I was first 'born'..." He said, referring to the few weeks after he was seperated from Kuro's mind and body. He remembered he used to have a smoking problem when he was first born. He also remembered that one of the times he was performing alchemy, Tomoro had been there which later led to one of his first meetings with Rivera. The second if he was right.

"Living Alchemy?" Rivera blinked, a little surprised. "Didn't know that you knew that." She replied lightly. "I was the junior understudy to the Gentic Department Research Office back then. Kai and I, and Usagi... we all had a riot doing the splicing simulation." She blinked. Usagihana did get relocated to this campus, but as a patrol officer and one of the emergency safeguard support androids. She wasn't her personal robot anymore... But she did get to revert back to that egg with bunny ears shape. Suppose that's better for the girls to giggle over. "Clover Inc. doctors said that I'd do well to learn some Genetic Variation. It's helped my combat sorcery a bit, since I know what I can do and what I shouldn't try, with my mixed lineage." She shook her head and gave a little smile. "Come to think of it... those dragons probably think that I'm a mutt, being so mixed-blooded and all."

"Well... I gave it up eventually... It felt like I had lost balance when I tried giving up my power over light for it..." Kira said. Back before he had found a reason to be nice and have positive emotions towards people, his power over light was his only true stabilizer. "So whatever happened to Usagi? I miss that funny little robot..." He said, getting out of the bed for a few seconds to put on a black shirt.

"Campus patrol officer support droid." Rivera's answer was practically a recitation. She sighed and leant her head onto Kira's chest. "I'm boooored." She whined a little, but playfully. Rivera wasn't supposed to be a whiner, but she ended up much... mushier... when she was around Kira. There used to be a time when she was a powerful general... commander in chief of all of Aeterranchise's troops... She used to kill thousands without a second thought, and dealt with rule breakers harshly... all at the age of 13. Kira gave her a heart... it might be a good thing, but it might also be bad. She didn't know... but she didn't care as long as she could stick around him. "Can we go do something?" And as usual, she didn't know what they were going to do.
