Colonel Lady Une I don't think I went 95%. Maybe 75? My mother wants me to get liposuction and a nose job in a couple of months. *is scared of operations* It's free though because I belong to a family of doctors and her friend will do the job. Do I need it? sweatdrop Don't get it just because your mom wants you to. No one should force you to do something you don't want to. Especially something like that where your appearance will be permanently and drastically changed.

I have to agree with the others, Une. Personally, I think you do not need plastic surgery. You're attractive just as you are, and surgery is a very serious thing to do.
And that outfit is very cute, btw. I thought it was a good choice if you have to wear a short skirt, because it isn't tight and it covers a decent amount of leg. In my opinion, any skirt much shorter than the one you're wearing, and it a) becomes hard to sit down for both modesty and comfort's sakes, and b) people start to look a little like they want attention.
The top is absolutely adorable, though. heart

I need someone to put a good picture of me on my computer... make sure my hair is combed, maybe wearing my church clothing, possibly shave before hand. Then, put it beside a picture of me after going on a 8 mile run xp

NOOO!!! Grrrr....must find out where family is and beat them up till they can't speak anymore.
Don't listen to them...I don't think you need it. and how exactly does your family look compared to you? I personally don't think you need it at all.

But I just met some relatives who kep commenting about my weight so I still might consider the lipo... sweatdrop There's less drastic methods to losing weight than any kind of surgery. And, honestly, if you don't change certain eating and exercising habits, then the fat will simply get stored in other places. Kenny Rogers ended up with a chest almost like a woman's after lipo because his body couldn't store the fat where it normally would, so it stored it somewhere else. Yeah but I can't argue with my mother. I'm under her rule. I've tried to argue but she's bent on getting me surgery. As for my relatives, they enjoy making fun of me and I don't really care but it can be hurtful at times. Besides, I've taken diet pills to little effect. I go to school at 7 am and get home at 6pm so there's hardly time to exercise. Weekends are my only opportunity to rest and sometimes my mother books academic tutorials. Add the fact that I'm asthmatic and you get why I don't get the chance to exercise.

Surgery is not the be-all and end-all of weight solutions, whether lipo or gastric bypass or whatever else she wants to do to you. Plus, it's your body, not hers. She's not the one that's going to have to live with the results. That's probably why it's so easy for her to say, "Go get this done." She doesn't have to deal with the aftermath.

Gah! Parents like that piss me off to no end!!! Sorry, but that sort of thing just pushes my buttons in all the wrong ways! Surgery isn't a guarantee, it isn't as healthy as other methods, and if nothing else changes then everything will just come right back. I... gah! Can't even think straight right now I'm so bothered by this. I'll try to figure out something you can use to convince her later!

Has she had anything done to herself? Is there something wrong with her that she can't get addressed so she's doing it to you instead? There has to be a reason... even if it's just "I want the prettiest daughter in the Phillipines".

Ever since then, she's been obsessed with improving my looks. Says I'll need to be pretty to land a rich husband and get a good job...

Says I'll need to be pretty to land a rich husband and get a good job... Ah yes... the 'society is shallow' thing. It's partially true. However, I'm not drop dead gorgeous by any means, and I think I've landed a fairly good job. And personally, there's more to life than a 'rich husband'. You need to be happy and love the person you're with.
