Jasi looked at them both. Her heart was doing summersaults. She knew what was coming. When the question was finally asked, she could hardely speak. "R-really?I could really stay?I-d love too. I promise not to be a b-bother or anything."She swalloed hard and looked a Teule.

Taka grinned and nodded in approval, another cub couldn't hurt right? Teule whispered to her, grinning slyly and happily at the same time.
"I knew she couldn't resist the 'face'. But, anyway, welcome to the family!"
He tugged at her ear playfully and gave her another smirk, having a sister was going to be fun. Taka looked around, her belly giving a menacing growl of hunger. She'd need to keep the cubs close to her, she knew they'd be gone if she left them alone while she went hunting, probably to investigate a sound or movement and they'd end up getting chased by hyenas or something.
"Me oh my, it's lunch time, how about we go for a little scouting walk, yes?"

Teule bumped her playfully on her shoulder and kept pace with his caretaker. Taka was on full alert for any gazelle and thankfully, she found one. She licked her chops hungrily and sat, watching and bapped Teule on the head, who in return growled.
"What was that for?!"
"Pay attnetion, now I know that you lions have the lionesses of the pride hunt for you but we cheetahs hunt individually, so if you want to eat you have to pay attention and learn got it?"
Teule nodded vigorously, thinking to himself that he could be as fast as his mom. He turned and nudged Jasi a bit as Taka started stalking towards the gazelle, who was quite unaware of the predator.
"You ever seen a cheetah run?"

Jasi thought back to awile ago, she had seen a cheetah teach its cub how to hunt. Cheetah were incredibly fast, she knew that, but she had only watched the pair for a moment before carring on. "A little, but id like to see Taka run too." She didnt feel comfortable calling the female cheetah 'Mom' like Teule afectionatly did. She grined and turned her attention to Taka.

ooc| Makadari sent Kitwana to find Jua and alert the pride. However, Makadari found her first.
Gaze briefly rising to catch the king's expression, Kitwana's mind raced, searching for answers. Focusing his eyes down once more, the slave watched the movements of Makadari's shadow- perhaps if he were expecting the next attack, the blow could be softened some. His mind continued it's desperate search for answers; to tell the proud king that he had been cleaning up a little of the mess made by his daughter and himself would displease the proud old lion yet more, but to return with no catch would surely seem suspicious if he said he were hunting. Dama! The little rat had left him to get a beating alone. Well, if he was going down as captain of a ship with no crew, she'd damn well be his alibi. "Majesty, I was searching for Dama, she has not been seen for longer than usual, and I wished to return her to her to her post at your service."

Had it not been for a cloud of dust rasing behind the cheetah and her blurred black spots, she would have been invisible to an animal's eye. She had snuck upon the gazelle and ony a mere meter away, the gazelle felt her prescence and took off running. Both animals zipped this way and that, making large zig zags.
Taka was growing nearer to the gazelle and just as she was about to swipe at the animal's back legs, she recieved a well aimed kick to the face. She slowed down only a for a splt second, blood dripping from her eyes that was not completely red. That only lit her fire further and after catching up to the cervid again, she swiped at it's legs and the beast fell to the ground.
Triumphant, Taka started dragging the carcass towards the cubs and then droppped in front of them, panting with her tongue hanging out of her mouth. Her left right eye was completely void of a pupil and was filled with a bright crimson that was slowly dripping down her cheek. She wiped at it and the bleeding stopped but her eyes remained the same odd color. Teule gulped and looked worriedly at his mom's eye, she didn't even seem to notice. Taka scratched open the carcass and took the first bite, motioning for them to eat too.
"There you see? Easy as pie. Why are you looking at me so funny?"

Kimondo, now to be known at Kinja, made her way in the direction that the sparrowhawk had indicated. Now left on her own again, she hoped that she could pull off fooling the pride. It was going to be tough but she'd do her best to prove to them she was something she truly wasn't.
As she climbed up a rather large sand dune and reached the top she could the dens the pride called home. Taking a deep breath she slid down from the dune's peak and carefully made her way towards the Firekin's den. She hoped that she wouldn't be noticed right away, but there was no telling who was around her at that moment.

Dama. He'd beat the daylights out of her, too, if he had the chance. Makadari waited until he'd circled around and behind the teenaged slave, then aimed another heavy blow toward his hindquarters with a back paw, then continued circling, pretending not to believe the wretched form of the animal who called himself a lion. He eyed the tufts of mane Kitwana had developed in his adolescence and snorted in disgust. This youngling couldn't even grow a proper mane. The King shook his head, making his own mane stand out to its fullest. Tell me... why would I believe you? A slave of the Blood. You are less than a speck of dust carried across the desert by the wind. You... are nothing.
The King was about to cuff him one last time and send him on his way, when he scented another lion coming towards the den... a female he did not recognize. Sighing, he turned away, kicking up sand. Go. Get out of my sight.

Kimondo moved across the desert towards the shady den. The sun was beginning to take a toll on her and she was still very thirsty. What would the Firekin think if they saw her drinking twice as much water as they do? Yes, she did resemble a Firekin, but she was still a pridelander and needed to have a bit more water than they did. Well... she would worry about that later. She just wanted to get to the coolness of the den, if she was allowed that was.

Makadari sniffed the air once more. The scent was... strange. The lioness was obviously foreign; if she was a trespasser, which was most likely, the King would rip her apart, if he didn't enslave her fist. He would not tolerate any lion not of the Blood to step into his lands, unless they were a slave.
Finally she came into sight, and the sight of her stopped his pacing and left him staring. Her pelt was red, like the Blood's, but she wasn't anyone the King knew.
Silently, he waited for her to approach him and give her claim. Was she truely one of the Blood, he wondered, or was she a mere pretender?

Kimondo saw a lion near the den. By the way he held himself and how much he looked like Kiu she figured he was the king. She walked up to him cautiously, ready to defend herself to the best of her ability should he attack. "I am Kinja, daughter of Moto and Ungua. I've been searching for your pride for several days now, I am quite relieved to have found you. All I ask is that you do not judge me as my mother, because I am not anything like her, I would never run from the pride, that is mere trechory."
She heldherself proudly, but did not show any signs that she thought herself above the king. To do such a thing would certainly mean death and she didn't want to fall under the king before even setting eyes on Kiu again.

Moto and Ungua... the names sounded familiar. Where had he heard those names before?
Then Makadari remembered. His father and two other males had formed a coalition; one of those males was Moto, who had apparently been mated with Ungua. The King remembered stories about her, as well: she had left the Firekin at adolescence, thus tainting her blood.
And this Kinja wanted to be let back into the Firekin Pride. Makadari narrowed his eyes at the female and began his ritual pacing, deep in thought.
You say you are nothing like your mother -- but of that I have no proof. You look like one of us, you know the bloodlines -- but again, I have no proof. Tell me why I should believe you; and I shall think on it, but I guaruntee nothing.

Kimondo watched at Makadari circled around her but she made mo movement to watch him. She stayed the way she was, looking forward as she spoke. "I have no proof besides my word. Both of my parents are no longer living and I was left on my own. I want to join the pride instead of becoming a lowly rogue." Her voice didn't faulter, she knew that she would be questioned and was ready to answer. She just hoped Makadari would accept her.
