"I see." Lonewolf snapped his fingers and a glass of white whine appeared in both, Inferno's hand and Lonewolf's hand. Lonewolf took a sip. "So why show themselves now all of a sudden?" He asked.

Kenji's eyes widen in suprise just before he was knocked to the ground from the shockwave, "Since when have you been able to do that?" He asked as he recovered from Rayl's attack. He hasn't figured out anything about this power but already Rayl has mastered some of it. "Has he been practicing it..?"

Inferno took the wolf's carcus outside.
"That was weird. Your pet okay?"

Inferno looked at the insane persicom and the wolf.
"Lonewolf... what do you plan to do?"
Inferno straightened his jacket.
"You gonna seek revenge, look for a cure, make his last month amoungst the living peaceful, or put him out of his misery?"
Inferno looked back at the carcus of the demon wolf outside.

"I don't take orders from people... but for old times sake, I'll help you once more."
Inferno walked to the door way. He spook without turning to face Lonewolf.
"17 days. I'll signal you in 17 days."
Inferno turned to look at the former dragoon leader one last time.
"Just remember, I made no promises about saving your pet. I DO promise to look for the master and signal you."
Inferno walked out and threw the dead demon's body over his shoulder and walked through the forest.
Lonewolf, you are one of the only people I've ever had ANY respect for. I shall help you one last time out of respect. Besides, I want to find out more anyways.
The demon slayer smelled the wolf and ripped out a patch of it's fur and stuck it in his pocket. He walked off into night.

Inferno walked through the forest following the scent of wolf demons.
"They came from this direction"
Inferno kept walking until it was almost morning.
"Well, you haven't attracted any of your brethren. You are of no use to me"
Inferno threw the wolf's headless body on the ground.
"Burn on earth, then burn in hell where you belong"
Inferno stuck out his right arm and a fireball began to grow.
"Burn"
Inferno shot the fire ball and created a shock wave that echoed through the entire forest. He stood there and watched as the carcus burned until there was nothing left but ashes. Inferno summoned his cursed sword and slashed it over the ashes. The ashes disappeared. INferno dismissed the Cursed Sword and it disappeared in his hand.
"Well... I suppose I'll just continued following the scent trail as is"
The demon slayer followed the trail through the forest, ignoring weak tracker demons following him.
"That's it keep following the human"
One of the tracker demons waved over a large demon snake. It slithered over quietly until it was only a few feet away from Inferno. It reared up and got in strike position. Just as it began to strike, Inferno turned around and grabbed it's head, it's fangs only inches away from his face.
"You little sneak. You think I'm dinner?"
Inferno began to squeeze the snake's head as it began to wrap it's body around the human and squeeze it back.
"I see you plan to squeeze me to death"
Soon the enormous snake wrapped around Inferno completely encasing him until only his hand gripping the head was visible.
"..."
The hand soon let go and disappeared into the coiled snake. The tracker demons grinned wickedly. Their grins soon disappeared as the snake began to expand. Fire began to leak from the openings and the snake was quickly blown into a tree. The tracker demons stared in horror as an orange demon stood where the human was once being crushed.

"You picked the wrong target"
The Cursed Sword appeared in his hand and it sliced through the snake.
"Burn"
Inferno lit the snake on fire and it burned away quickly. The tracker demons quickly fled north-east.
"No you don't!"
Inferno took off after the three tracker demons. The first tracker demon turned around and saw the Cursed Sword as it came in contact with his head, killing it insantly. Inferno jumped through the trees after the second demon. The second demon jumped back at Inferno and slashed at his face, leaving a small stratch mark. The demon's eyes widened at his futile attack and Inferno grabbed the demon's skull and crushed it in his bare hand. Inferno chased after the last demon who got a good distance away because of the second demon's distraction.
Keep leading me to your base.
The demon run towards a tree and inhaled deeply before spewing acid on the tree, dissolving the trunk and running on. The tree fell down towards Inferno.
"Damn you!"
Inferno watched as the tree fell on top of him and crushed him into the ground. Within seconds, Inferno broke through the tree and stood in the opening. The tracker demon was long gone.
"Damn."
Inferno transformed into a human and sat back against the fallen tree.
"He got away."
Inferno watched as the sun rose over the mountain.
"He won't be going any further for now. I'll continue at night."
Inferno leaned back on the tree and fell asleep.

Lonewolf shook his head as if to awaken from a dream. He felt....lonely...more lonely then before. He also no longer felt warm inside and out. He felt cold....empty....

She....she really did leave me....

Thought Lonewolf. He was full of regret now. He wanted her to come back.

Steph! Please! I'm sorry! Come back to me! I NEED you!!!......no response. A single tear rolled down his cheek and dissolved within the flames of the fireplace. Now he truly was alone. Now that he thinks of it, Stephanie's lectures were actually comforting to him. He liked being lectured. No matter how much he pushed her away, he actually wanted to be lectured more and more.

But now you're gone...forever...

He thought as he looked down at his bloody palm. The same palm that crushed the glass of wine he was drinking. It was shaking violently. Flashbacks of everyone he had lost in the past zoomed through his mind. Everyone he loved, everyone he cared for. So much pain. So much anguish.

Finally, a low, menacing chuckle could be heard under his breath.

Who's laughing?! Is....is that me?! Stop it Lonewolf! Stop this at once! What is the meaning of this?!

The laughter grew louder and louder, until finally he threw back his head as his whole body convulsed and swayed as he laughed his lungs out.

Have I lost my sanity? Is this how it feels to be insane? Whatever it is.....it feels good. Yeeeessss.....my rage.......my hate......it has finally surfaced. So much pain......my rage has let itself free and is taking over me. Yeeeeessssss.....wash over me. Fill me with it. Fill me with your hate!

The maniacal laughter continued to grow louder and more menacing. His eye glowed a dark red. Finally.....it ceased. He stopped laughing. All was quiet in the cabin. Locke and Violet were both shocked and afraid after witnessing this spectacle of insanity. Lonewolf finally turned around to regard them. His face...was unfamiliar. He watched them as they both cowered back in fear. Lonewolf smiled. Though it was not a warm smile. It was cold and evil. A mocking smile. An arrogant smile. He walked out the broken wall that the demon had previously broke through. As he stepped outside, the wall went into rewind and fixed itself. He looked up into the air, then disappeared.

Leon eye's widen at the sudden bursts of energy coming from Merith. Both of them were distinctively Haji's and Lonewolf's, causing him to stop entering the forest and instantly teleporting himself to the site, hopefully to stop them from killing each other and reason it out.


At the same moment, Kenji felt this awful feeling...like something bad just happened. He pushed himself up and asked Kinera's brother, "Did you just feel that?"
