As Ellesar signs up for the arena, his dagger emits a dull glow.
in the arena: "Well ladies and gentlemen. We have a special treat for you tonight. We have a very unique free for all planned. It will be all of our combatants against not just one another but a monster as well. The winner will be rewarded richly, provided the monster doesn't win. Well it's about time to watch the fight," the announcer says cheerfully.
"Remind me make him a lot more cheerful," one of the other combatants says while cracking his knuckles. The other combatants laugh cheerfully unknowing the danger they face. With every step he takes towards the now open arena door, Ellesar's dagger glows a bit brighter.
As soon as the last combatant enters the arena, the door slams shut behind them. All of the combatant's eyes adjust to the dim light of the arena while looking for the monster while Ellesar noticed the rather putrid aroma in the air.
Suddenly on the other side of the arena, two crimson eyes open, staring hungrily at the group. The eyes seem to rise and the sound of beating wings fills the air. The monster comes out of the shadows to reveal an almost dragon like being. The wings look like they're about to fall off and there is spot where the flesh has rotted away and bone is showing. The beast lets out a tremendous bellow that startles all the combatants. Some fall over at the sight of the beast. One of them tries to run but with no success. Ellesar's dagger however is glowing brightly now to where it's visible from in the sheath.
Who will win the twisted free for? The beast of unknown origin or one of the combatants?

Fira nodded her head in understading at Maki, "I'll come and get you guys when what ever I decide to make is done." Turning she wondering down the hall back to the kitchen trying to think to herself what excatly would be good to make. Maybe some pasta would be nice, with a creamy sause to cover it in. During her travels all over new gaia, Fira did pick up how to cook many thing on her own.

Maki moaned in agreement trying to rest. Something she hasn't done since the darkness took over.

In the kitchen Fira began to boil a pot of water as she searched within the cupboards for any pasta for which she a craving for. Finding the noodles she quickly opened the package and poured then into the heated water. She began to think of what she could add to this creation and quickly began to dig out some spices and other things to create a sauce. Then for a side dish she added in some steamed vegetables.
She threw the dish together and came walking back down the hallway with two plates in hand for that was all she could carry at a time. "I'm back," Fira said as she entered into the control room and held the plates out to Maki and Zetsuei, "I hope this will be alright."

Maki woke up to the smell of something delicious, opening her eyes she saw Fira had returned with plates full of pasta.
"Yummmmm," Maki said licking her lips before taking a plate from Fira. "This looks and smells delicious."
Taking a bite of the noodles and a bite of the vegetables Maki replied, "Fira, you're simply amazing."

Fira smiled slightly and looked back at Maki as she put her hands togeather before saying, "If you guys want anything else I could make it."

Maki wiped the sauce from her lips as she finished her plate, "No thanks, I'm stuffed. That's the best meal I've ever had ... ever."

Finishing the meal which Fira prepared, Zetsuei looked out the window.
" It was very good Fira. I wont need to eat for a good while now"
Thinking about what was going to happen in the future he looked back to Maki
"Fira have you had any luck in the location of the Phoenix temple?"

"A little," Fira said as she pulled out her sketch book and flipped it open, "I looked over it while I waited for the pasta to cook." Once she found the page she turned it around for Zetsuei and Maki to see, "It looks like a temple and it may be the one we're looking for."

"Wow Fira! You drew these? You're good," Maki said leaning forward to admire the details. "It does look like a temple. Maybe we'll find answers there."

"Can you tell the location of that temple"
Zetsuei said as he pressed a button on the ships control panel which made the hologram map of new gaia light up.
"Just point out where you think it is Fira and we will be on our way"

Fira looked at the map with a raised eyebrow as she seared the continents in deep thought, "Well, it would have to be somewhere really warm, I suppose. It's hard to remeber from a time so long ago..." She glanced down at her sketch book before suggesting. "Maybe we should try somewhere in Dessert? There's a lot of warm places there."

"Fira? Weren't we just at a dessert not long ago?" Maki asked trying to remember what happened. "Are we going back?"

Fira looked up at the map closer, "Oh, I believe your right..." With confution she looked down at the sketchbook in her hands. A sigh came from the phoenix as she sat down. "Well...," She began as she looked back up at the map, "...where else is it warm that we could go to?"

Maki frowned as she felt she must have sounded like a whining child.
"I'm sorry Fira," she said forcing a smile. "It sounds like a good a place to start as any. This time. I come with you, okay?"
