"Oh bleargh. Another baby. They're popping up all over the place like little chickens. Pop- pop- pop!~" She shrugged lightly. "Your teacher?" She straightened up and listened with some interest. "Meh? What did he teach you?"
Keir bit her lip, Yani hadn't really explained what happened to him. Well... She'd asked, but he decided not to answer, she wouldn't ask again. Secrets would be secrets, and she had plenty of them hid from Yani.

Yani chuckled some and leaned forward again, putting his elbows on the edge of the table.
"Ava's okay...I'm not really a fan of babies either but it's not like I have a choice in the matter." He shrugged at that.
"Sani...he taught me a lot of stuff. Mostly about Native American culture. He taught me how to make bows and arrows, jewelry, and how to play music on a flute and drum. He also helped me understand who I am, or rather, who I was. Though, most of that part came from my vision quest...which is why Mum blames him. He gave me the idea of a vision quest and if he hadn't suggested it, then maybe...things...wouldn't have happened and I would be able to see."

"Well. I babysitted Lucien and got big bucks!" She rubbed her hands together and snickered. "I'll gladly sit Lucien anytime, Rayne pays big." The cat fa'e continued to snicker a little, it gently faded.
"Ah.. I see. He sounds like a nice guy, teaching you all that stuff. I mean, not much people get taught about themselves and what they are, right? At least I didn't. I just got punched in the - er..." She paused, 'maybe' was a big word in this case, at least she thought so. Maybe made her wonder what Yani would of been like with his sight. But that wasen't to be helped. She appreciated him the way he was anyway.

"It's just one of those things," he said with another shrug before sliding back in his seat, remembering that elbows on the table was a manners no-no. "It doesn't matter. I can't change the past, even though I wish I could."

"No-one can," she sighed, remembering the whole thing with Malise, it was printed into her brain, so clear, so scary. Taking a deep sigh, she looked back for positive things to say.
"So... Er... Lets not get down?"

The Waiter came back, balancing a tray, quickly setting out the fish pasta dish in front of Keir, the Filet Mignon in front of yani, along with a basket of rolls, and two salads, with a few decanters of various salad dressing. "Here you go Madam, Sir. Also.." He claps his hands twice, and from some hidden alcove instramental music, soothing and low pitched came. Giving another little bow, the waiter bustled off again.

As the food was placed out on the table, it was then that Yani realized just how hungry he was. Everything smelled really -really- good.
"Wow, that was really quick," he commented absently as the waiter bustled around the table. "How's yours look, Keir? I can smell it over here." He grinned as he carefully noted the locations of the rolls and salads before turning his attention to his own plate.
When the music started to play, he smirked to himself. Another touch via Silver, no doubt....

Keir grinned and grasped the fork tight. "Mmm. Niiiice!" She dug her fork into the pasta and stabbed at pieces, propping them quickly into her mouth. She hummed along to the music, and ate the pasta along with the beat of the music.
"Hows yours look Yani?"

"It smells really good," he commented as he expertly wielded his utensils and cut some meat from the portion on his plate. After trying the piece that was on the end of his fork, he flashed a thumbs up in approval.
"Good stuff. I've never had this before but I like it!" He thought he might ask his Mum to make it sometime, but he didn't realize how expensive the cut of meat was. Jade would probably die laughing.

"Hehe, it certainly looks good." She smiled and drew herself back into hers, trying not to scrape her fork along the bottom. Ohh - she'd forgot her manners. Unfolding the napkin, she placed it down on her lap, and used both knife and fork to bring the pasta up to her mouth.
"I had pasta once before! Its nice!"

"I don't think I've ever had pasta. Mum never cooked it because she doesn't like it that much," he commented idly as he cut into his meat again.
At this point, he'd almost completely forgotten the original reason that they were at this place, and frankly, he didn't mind to keep it that way. Things were going so much better this way.

"Y'can try some of mine if you want," she offered him some, pushing her bowl out a little. "I'm sure you'll like it, just as long as you have a taste for fish," she smirked and put her fork and knife back down.

Yani hmmed curiously and quirked a brow in a goofy sort of manner before carefully taking a bit from her bowl since she offered.
"If you want to try some of mine, you can. Only fair and all," countered the deer fa'e before eating the pasta that was on the end of his fork. He chewed with a thoughtful expression on his face.

She grinned a little.
"Whutchoo think?" She took a bit of his, as he said. Propping it into her mouth, and chewing for a minute or two, one eye winced, other wide open. Her jaws moved up and down as she tried to make out the flavour.

He swallowed the sample and made a "not bad, not bad" expression. "It's different. I might have to try some more of that stuff sometime," commented the fa'e before poking at his own dish some more. "Did you try some of this?"
