Bobby walked into the Library, toolbox in hand. He'd been asked to track down and repair an electrical problem.

Laurel spotted him and pulled him aside. "The problem seems to be centered in the basement," she said, leading him to the stairs. As they went down, she continued, "There seems to be an irreg..." Her voice trailed off with the distance.

As Laurel leads him away, Bobby gets a glimpse of a familiar face behind the desk. Charlie! Maybe I can... His thoughts were interrupted by Laurel's telling him about the odd circuit breaker in the janitor's closer. "I'll check it out."

Laurel remembered Bobby from Haven and the end of the Mimic War - he had helped her Aunt Ruby when she was hurt. She thought that she could trust him about the secret door and the underground passage, so once they were out of earshot, she told him the whole story.

Charlie spotted Bobby when he came in. She wondered if she could get off work to go hang out with him. Though, she wasn't at all hungry. If she could get off work, then she was happy. Laurel had done it, why couldn't she? It wasn't like there was anything to do around here anyways.

Having been briefed by Laurel, Bobby got to work. He started by taking the cover off of the breaker panel so that he could see the wiring.

Laurel came back upstairs. "He'll probably be awhile," she told Charlotte, "but he asked me to give you this." She handed Charlotte a folded sheet of paper. "I'm guessing you know him?"

"Yeah, we met the other day," She stated with a warm grin as she took the folded paper, and waited till Laurel was out of eye sight to read it, before she opened it, and read it herself.

The note contained Bobby's phone number and the words "Call Me" scrawled across it.

She folded the paper again, and stuck it in her pocket for later use. If she hadn't wanted to call him until she felt hungry again, she would half to ahead of time because he'd spotted her, and given her the number. Without the number, there was no chance they'd meet again even though they happened to live in the same apartment building, although that was unknown to him.

With the panel removed, Bobby lightly touched the breaker's terminals and let his awareness follow the wires. He soon located the door mechanism, but found another circuit that passed beyond the door and out of his range.

Bobby then traced the other circuits, and discovered that the cameras (there were always cameras in Union city) were also powerd through the same breaker, so that when it tripped, they all went out like the lights. Handy to know... he thought.
All finished here, for now. He replaced the panel, then returned upstairs to speak to Laurel.
