I really like Chloe. She's wonderfully witty and a very interesting character, but like everyone else on the show she gets shoved into the background in favor of Lana. Which really is a shame -- they could have done so much more with her as a character. I also think the writer's have been stringing her along for a tad too long; it's cruel. Clark and Chloe are very good, very close friends. And as soon as she realizes he loves her -- just not the way she wants him to love her -- everything will be much better. And, as viewers, there is only so much we can take of continually blowing off a very likable character to deal with Lana's tragedy of the week.

She does love him. But she has realized that Clark doesn't love her that way and put it all behind her for her career.

Well, yes. And leaving him behind for her career would have happened eventually, anyway -- the truth is very important to Chloe, just as much as secrecy is to Clark. It's not a very good match in the end, no matter how much I like Chloe. But it's still there, hovering in the background. And that hurts, because I sincerely like Chloe.

Regardless, it went on for far too long. You must also keep in mind that I've only seen the first four seasons; the rest of my knowledge is from recaps and TWoP. And while both are a very good sources for people without cable, there is only so much one can obtain from the written word -- an expression can say a lot, and not having had the chance to actually see the episodes I'm not properly prepared to rebuff your opinion at this time. Maybe in a couple seasons, okay? wink

Lmao. You have only seen 1-4? Wait till you watch 5. You will really hate her after that. In the 6th season, sometimes the whole episode is about lexana. Somedays I like Lana and other days I find her a little annoying.
