As far as I know, Houka, and pearle are still under human control until you move in and occupy them, I just posted the caverns(topic title VIVA LA RESISTANCE) where most the leaders are at the moment. Other then that I dunno)

((FYI, I was talking about the remnants of the Esperanzan Military, unless Tolly take them uncer his wing. The phrase 'Gone to Ground' means they split up into small units and are hiding out in the wilderness.))

((As have I...I'm sorry for this mess, but you guys logically cannot know exactly where the 'cavern' is, much less that it is in fact a cavern just from what you as a real life person read in someone else's post. Especially since no one actually said anything about it verbally. (That I can see anyway...)))

(controversy is a part of life, your swept into it knowingly or unkowingly, but your opinon on the matter discovered is never ignored. However, Auren, I'm just making it quite clear that I don't need Loas's henchmen showing up two pages in, because someone misinterpreted what you said. )

Yamishiro looked down at Vermillion as Auren teleported away. He narrowed his eyes, he hated heroic deaths, all they did was make his job harder...he turned away from Vermillion and sat down, hovering a few feet off the ground, as if a chair had been suspended in midair. He held his hand out in front of him and the same portal in which they had arrived appeared once again, the blue haze swirling about inside; it acted as a one-way mirror of sorts as the scenery skipped about in search of the resting place of the leaders. Finally the portal landed on a cave that was brimming with thousands of dragons at the very least. He smirked, apparently Vermillion had wasted his last breath only to give the others a few minutes head start. He pushed his palm against the portal and turned his hand counterclockwise to unlock it. He retracted his hand and began to step through the portal when an invisible force stopped him as if he had walked straight into a wall. He stepped back and glared into the portal, extending his hand through the tear in time and space until it came up against something hard once again. His eyes narrowed and he kicked into the portal, meeting the barrier with loud clangs. "We'll have to find them the mortal way." He said with a snarl as he spun around to face Cross, finally giving up his attempts to break through whatever spell was protecting the cavern. Underestimating this enemy had caused him more trouble than he had wanted. He surrounded Vermillion's body with a bluish light and slowly lifted him off of the ground, he might as well bring something to divert Laos' rage. With that he flicked his wrist, the portal changing course to Laos' throne room. "Laos won't be pleased..." He added as he stepped through the portal.
((I’d just like to point out that although Yamishiro saw into the cavern in which the others are hiding, he has no way of knowing where it is or any way of entering. Also, taking the body was more or less to prove to Laos that Vermillion was behind the mission’s failure (Laos did say to bring Vermillion back, sort of) and that’s the only purpose. Hope that this makes everyone happy and content))

Darkness fled the new figure as he opened a different portal just in front of Vermillion. The portal that appeared between Yamishiro and Vermillion would be, in effect, intercepting the moving body. Yet, though darkness left this medium of a body the body itself made no hesitation. Souloe, yes his name is Souloe, rushed forward in the already minimal distance between him and vermillion and ramed forward aiming to accelerate Vermillion into the portal before Souloe himself, too, would disappear within. Should he succeed then those who have opened their ears would hear his pleading words... " stop..him...b..."

Yami was right, Laos wasn't gonna be pleased. A simple mishap and lack of perception surely landed the two of them in a bad spot; the main target suicided and the resulting sacrifice completely erradicted any hope of finishing the duty. Although it was good thinking to at least bring proof of what happened (ie. the corpse of Vermillion) as it would be in best interest to use anything to diminish how much of a failure the mision had become. Regardless of events, he already knew that the next task would in some way regard the infiltrating wherever the other targets had fled.
However, the thoughts of how easily all of this could've been diverted plagued his mind. Although the blame could've been passed on to him for his hesitation to battle Vermillion during the illusion, he had come to the conclusion that it was Auren's fault for his interruption/distraction. Alas now wasn't the time to point fingers, dwell on mistakes, or have a fit of anger; they underestimated the enemy (which was a given considering this had been his first mission in a while) and had live with that error, but it most certainly wouldn't happen again.
Cross slightly shook his head as he followed Yami into the portal (assuming the corpse would eventually float in on its on); however he felt a presence directly behind them and instantaneously teleported infront of the (new) portal and the corpse. Instinctively he held both hands up (both glowing a pale grey) to oppose the force that caused the redirection; this task was definitely not gonna result in failure and whomever thought they could pull this trick off was dead.

Redirection. Indeed, teleportation was quite a hassle to deal with. Yet, what Cross did and what Souloe did after Cross teleported was essentially overlapped with less than zero seconds of time gap.
By recaping the situation we see that Souloe had rammed the body forward and at the same time Cross had blocked and redirected the body. Thus the force from souloe's raming would be translated into the new direction caused by Cross. It wasn't hard to figure out Cross' intentions when he had both hands out in the air in front of the corpse and by simple observation, anyone would be able to make proper decisions on the course of actions. Another portal opened directly in front of the accelerated body. Due to the already accelerated velocity, it flew in and the portal disappeared immediately afterwards.
"ah, did you really think that I would let go of my new toy that easily? If you want the corpse, you must accept and defeat me in a duel without using magic. If you kill this body, of course, then you will never find the body. Isn't that grand? I just Love a good show."
Those words were spoken after the battered body leaped a step backwards. And after a quick pause and a crude smile the voice spoke again.
"and ma poupee, do consider yourself lucky."
Souloe held up one hand and a ball of darkness encasing a glyph appeared within.
"Well? Do you accept this challenge? If not, then I bid my leave."
The sphere of darkness twitched at the same time almost as though to reinforce the last point.
