Awlyn I think the Sax is the worst insturment in our band. I mean our saxs in particular sucks. Trumpets are the best!! no i think saxes are good(when played right) i expecially like listening to them play jazz *snaps fingers* and trumpets are good 2(again only when played right) eek

ph34R_the_dark_faerie Melt I used to hate trumpets, but know I like pretty much all of the instruments. I think they're all important. But If I had to pick which one I personally lliked the least, It would be French Horn. omgoodness.... a lot of people hate the french horns don't they? surprised sad crying .... if tis so.... i'm sorry, but don't be jealous that we're the best sounding instrument that rule all and will dominate the earth with our spit-valve-less shiny goldenicity.... if your minds aren't elite enough to interpret the beautiful sound, if your minds aren't prudent enough to appreciate the high tones and unforgiving required embouchure... then i'm tlaking to the wrong people.... i'm talking to the wrong poeple aren't i? [lolll i hope yu know i'm just joking sweatdrop blaugh ] I finally found another horn player and there is no need to joke. We certainly are the most lovely instrument in the band. whee

Uh, I, personally, along with the rest of the band, HATE the flutes. I mean DESPISE because they are all newbies and never keep up and have to look at their fingering chart DURING A SONG. And then they talk during songs when they have rests. I HATE THE FLUTES IN MY BAND! Plus, they like, FLIRT with the BD. Ew.

The section least liked at my school is the percussion section. In band they cannot play in time what-so-ever unless the band director is yelling at them. In symphony they sign-up, audition, make it, find out they made it, and never come to a single meeting a 7:45 in the morning. We hunted down where there homeroom was and yelled at them for the symphony director. They symphony director called their parents and the kids instead went to intraumurals.

I don't have a most hated instrument... I kinda love them all.... as long as they are together... it seems alot of people have kind of... warped the conversation to the people so.....
Being a percussionist, I guess I'm supposed to hate.... I don't know a different section.... but as for me... I hate some percussionists, excluding myself.... FREAKIN' PIRATE pirate rarrrrr arrrr rar.... sorry, anyway... I think the percussion have it the easiest... I mean, no pitches or blahh.. just hitting a drum... (I'm starting to sound like a little 6th grade trumpet) ((No offense)) being a drummer I know the difficulty.. but the way I see it is... every drummer should be at LEAST TWICE as good at drums/mallets/other, than others at whatever they play (notice I said they should, doesn't mean they are) why you ask? I believe this because, for a drummer, everything should be an instrument.. lol, right now I'm typing this in rythm and I've got a toy pokeball and it makes a good sound... anyway.... so a drummer is kinda, always practicing... sure percussionists have way faster rythms and complicated beats... but, that should be easy if you practice... so meh..... blah.... I guess I'm bashing my section, sorry peeps... but really I'm just bashin' lazy percussionists, also this exceptional ability give some percussionists the belief that, they are to good to listen, or it doesn't apply since they don't have notes.... what is a slur? who cares? so I don't know... sorry to waste all your time (people who actually read that) don't agree? Don't know why you would.... or have an opinion similar or non.... PM me, I love hearing opinions, they rock... really expand my view on things... unless it's a bash PM, then no thanks.... ninja once more wouldn't hurt..... ninja pirate Pirate !!! ...im sad to hear that the most hated instrument is the trumpet...but wait! is it the instrument itself or the person playing it? because its the oboe that really gets me...even when she is playing alone she's not in tune xp ..no offence to any other oboeists...i know your not all bad

Trumpets during concert season...... Clacking... Missing notes too low... Having to be retaught the fingerings...
(I'm in this section during marching season)Flute during Marching... Horn angles.... Stay in step... Body to the front.... It's mostly the 8th graders(9th now)... Now I understand facing forward and going to the left... That sort of hurts.... But to the right.... The flute is the easiest instrument when going to the left...

I hate our trombone section! It was ok, but then the only cool kid graduated, now all we have is a kinda-cool senior and a frigin pric sophmore. I hate him!
But if you cut out the people then my least favorite is the tuba and string base beacuse I don't like the string bases sound and they're both alway stealing my solos!

yeah, ours is most definitely the percussion section - always hacking, it never stops and they talk. my personal most-hating-alot-ness....(?) is the saxophones. grr....

For us its usually Trumpets...its actually the players they seem to screw our show for us every year but now they graduated whee and the most ones the oboe...geeesh it sounds like crap or the girl playing it doesn't know how to play...I think thats what it is...she sounds like s**t. excuse my french. confused
