Tanyeera groaned as a familiar voice interrupted her first deep meditation in months.
"Oh Tanyeera dear, could you just come up here a moment? I've got a teensy-weensy little problem..."
Sighing mournfully, she enforced the wards around Darkness and left her body behind as she ascended into heaven.
A familiar face awaited her. "Hello, Tany dear."
"Hello Bellaream." she sighed. "Weren't you asleep?"
"Oh yes, I was sweetie, but then this faithful follower of mine..."
After a few hours of listening to her talk incessantly and never quite get to the point, Tanyeera decided to just cut to the heart of the matter herself.
"So, basically, you want me to go along with these cursed ones of yours to help them in your name so you can look good."
Bellaream was looking a little uncomfortable. "Err, well... you are quite competent. And the journey will be greatly eased with your help. Furthermore, it may be my power will help you get rid of your Darkness."
Tanyeera just gave Bellaream a skeptical look. "And you're hoping that forever after that, people are going to be awed by the wondrous power of Bellaream's Servant and thus assume that you're a mighty goddess. This is despite the fact I'm the spare hero all the gods call on when there's trouble in their world and no other hero around to save it."
"But you've got heroes in that world, this bunch of cursed people that have gathered in your name. Why should I go along with it? The Rules enabling you to force me to do your bidding include that I'm only supposed to be called on when a world is in danger and there's no hero around to save it."
"Actually," Bellaream corrected. "the Rules say we can also call on you if our existences are in danger. Mine is. If I go back to sleep, I might not wake up again and isn't that the immortal equivalent of dying? I need this mission to succeed."
Tanyeera looked at Bellaream suspiciously. "Alright, who are you and what have you done with the real Bellaream? There's no way you could thinkt hat much sense by yourself."
Bellaream looked sheepish. "Err, I asked the god of wisdom for help and he told me to memorise that and tell it to you as soon as you brought up Rules. He seemed certain that you would."
Tanyeera ground her teeth together. Curse Apollo. "Fine. Then, by the Rules, I'll do as you command, milady Bellaream. I ask only one favor. Tell them that I'm coming, alright? They're not going to believe I'm your Heavenly Servant unless you tell them so yourself."
Bellaream's face broke into a sunny grin. "Of course! I'll defintely remember! But um...d'you remember the god of wisdom's name, by any chance? I promised I'd give him a present for helping me."
"Its Apo-" Tanyeera stopped and swiftly reconsidered her intended ending to that sentence. "Apoliatris."
"Thank you!" she said cheerfully. She whisked off in a blaze of light.
Tanyeera snickered as she watched her go. That would teach Apollo. She'd probably search for the imaginary god Apoliatris till the end of time and Apollo would never get his present.
There were perks to getting called on by gods on a regular basis.

“No, there won’t be any more transformations tonight.” Adencia smiled at Isarelle, thanking her for her kindness, “I couldn’t even shift if I tried. That’s one of the things I hate about my curse. I can only control certain animals and those I can’t control can do damage,” she lifted her hands, “Such as this. Trying to change back weakens me when the animal is not in my power.” Adencia sighed heavily and shook her head.
Adencia was quite surprised when Isarelle lifted her from the ground. Such a slim, delicate frame did not seem capable of such actions but she ignored this, thankful for her aide. When Isarelle gave a sudden shout to her brother Adencia cringed. She knew Garren would be none too pleased about her escape but he was just going to have to deal with it for the time being.
“Erm, I do hope you know you have mice. And it seems that their—ah, empire—is widely spread through your walls.” She said lamely.

Aranai bobbed her head in a sort of a nod. She agreed with Cerdik's choice to go back. Besides, she really felt silly in this blanket. The hole was wide enough, she shook her head and looped her long neck down, sliding out of the dark covering. If she had smiled, it would have been sheepish.
"Yes, I believe it should be."
Dang the walls, she wanted to fly, not bob about the ground like this. She tried to keep her strides as dignified as she could, and managed some sort of graceful flow, her tail trailing behind. Thankfully, she could hear people talking and followed the sound. As she rounded the corner, she relaxed a little more. Obviously Adencia was weakened and hurt... her transformation must have been serious. Aranai hung back for a moment, aware of the shifting light that glowed from her body to the wall. She seemed to have dimmed a little, which was odd. She had never noticed that before...

He took another swig from his flask before returning it to its proper place. He was definately worn out to the point where he didn't even want to get up from the chair he was sitting in. His eyes started to become heavy, but he quickly opened them. No, don't drift to sleep. You must stay awake. He thought as he started to bite his hand to stay awake. No use, he was just simply too tired from what has all happened today. He took out a small metal rod from his shirt and began to write a rune on his hand. Normally the rune would go on his forehead but he didn't have the energy to write it there. So he settled for his hand. When he was done, he dropped the metal rod as he drifted into sleep. Hoping that he didn't dream as he slumped forward a bit.

Cerdik strode alongside the Phoenix-form of Aranai quietly, his legs seeming to become more steady as they went. The explanation was plain to Cerdik, but he did not share it in thought or sound. Instead, he kept his thoughts on the others, contemplating how everyone was holding up. Most of his guesses were on the mark, and the others close. Garren was still inside Isarelle's mind as seemed to be their curse. One by day and another by night, just as was Aranai's curse. The only other man there (in the physical sense), Khnui, had fallen asleep, a small piece of metal falling from his hands.
Curiously, he crossed the room, although reluctant to leave his circle of warmth, and picked up the rod, inspecting it. After letting his hand and mind rove over it, he slipped it into one of Khnui's pockets carefully then stepped back to look at the others. Isarelle was faring well, but Adencia was in horrible shape, and had taken the time to explain why. Cerdik's ears had caught it all whilst he and Aranai had been returning to join the others.
He quietly wandered over now to Adencia. "Magicks, though weak in me they be, cannot be reduced from their finesse," he murmured, placing a hand on Adencia's shoulder. "Kurmus min trenta, sum hern trenta." There was no light nor was there any mystic wind, but Cerdik felt some of his energy leave him, and knew it had been properly given to Adencia. "Not the greatest of healings, but one to support your needs, no?"
After leaving Adencia with that rhetorical question, his focus came to the door which he had so startlingly knocked over. He squatted in front of it, and placed a hand on the edge. "Mirsen sum nenna rijin." The door creaked as it rose from the floor and placed itself within the large frame once again and the hinges rebolted themselves. As it did so, Cerdik gave an exasperated sigh and dropped onto his butt. "There. My debt's repaid, and deeds have been done with goodness at heart." He rolled onto his side, laying on the stone (or is it wooden?) floor, and closed his eyes. "I'm tired."

When Cerdik put his hand on her shoulder, Adencia felt something strange.
“Not the greatest of healings, but one to support your needs, no?” he said.
Healings?Adencia looked to her hands. While the blood remained the cuts were gone and the persistent stinging had stopped. She watched Cerdik raise the door with aw though it did not show much in her features.
The healing he had given her did good for her bruises and injuries but she wasn’t sure what it had done for her strength and wasn’t about to test the waters. If she were not strong enough to support herself yet then a fall could hurt her more and she wasn’t up for any more pain.

Gaian Username: fey_girl Name: Caraeth Muireann Age: 22 Curse: Caraeth’s curse is double-sided: while it grants her extensive healing powers, whenever she does use them, wounds manifest themselves on her. Caraeth is also protected from another, perhaps darker side of her curse that none, not even herself, know of. Weapon(s): Caraeth can’t bear to see pain. She is completely incompetent with any form of fighting. Appearance: While not ugly, Caraeth is average looking. She has brown hair and pale green eyes, a height of 5’4” and hovers near a weight of 125. She prefers to wear clothing that conceals her many scars, including gloves, wrappings and a cloak. History: Caraeth does not remember her parents, nor indeed, any of her childhood. When she hit puberty, all memories prior were erased, and Caraeth awoke one morning to find herself… herself. She discovered her healing skills, and their drawback, when she was 16, and so travels the land curing diseases and regrowing limbs (an extremely difficult, and painful, if not impossible, task). The one thing that remains from her childhood is a small, violet tattoo/scar directly between her breasts, a crescent on its side, points coming together at her breastbone. Strengths: Caraeth knows that her suffering is worth the pain she alleviates. For her, nothing is more rewarding than the gratitude of those she helps. As such, she has a great strength of will and an overwhelming need to do good. She is also extremely knowledgeable in non-magic healing. Weaknesses: Caraeth is usually physically exhausted and ill herself. The healing she does causes real harm to herself, despite her attempts to ignore it. There is also a hidden, caged inner darkness that will eventually attempt to make itself known to Caraeth. Quirks: Caraeth likes to hum to herself when working, which can sometimes be extremely annoying. She is also very shy when it comes to interacting that doesn’t have to do with her gift. Caraeth usually ignores her looks, partly due to the amount of scars her body holds. Favorite color is blue, doesn’t eat meat, carries at least two lemons or other citrus fruit with her at all times. Never been kissed.

The owner of this thread is no longer within the Guild. Either you guys continue without him/her, or PM the creator of the thread and ask if you can become the owner of the RP. If the owner agrees to let you, PM me and I'll Edit changes for you in the first posts. Or you could try and convince him/her to re-join C.O.S.T and stay active. -Doom

((I dunno....someone's gonna have to take over her characters though. They're pretty important to the story being leaders of the expedition and all. Count me out, the person who takes over should be one who's been here since the beginning of the RP.))

((The only problem is that Blade and Chalice hasn't been on for a couple weeks and we won't know when she'll be back on. We won't rightfully know who she will allow to take over her characters and the RP. Right now we need to decide what the characters will do in the mean time. Any ideas?))

((Sounds good to me. Let's just say Blade and Chalice's character went to the town to get . . . provisions . . . ? Mabey. And, uh, won't be back for a while. So our characters are sitting in, uh , somewhere {don't really care where} getting to know eachother . . . ? Kind important that they know eachother, ain't it? How does that sound for now?))

((Teeny tiny little problem there. Blade and Chalice's chars were supposed to get some sort of heavenly vision from Bellaream to let them know my char is coming. I said I wouldn't post further till then. Just check my mammoth post at the top of the page and see.))

(Well, that is easily solved. Belleream will just simply screw up again and give my character the vision. It will solve a double purpose. Your character will be able to come in and mine can wake up. Plus, my character's people have a belief system that is more or less based in celtic mythology. So he wouldn't disregard a vision in his sleep.)
