Nakshidil stared as A'Hallei as he broke the bone, giving a startled sobbing whimper. The crack made her hurt, and it wasn't even her who had rebroken a limb. "hurry, please." she heard faintly, as if through a tunnel, and moved by rote. Grabbed the rough splint she'd found downstairs from when Allie had broken a leg, and applied it to A'Hallei's leg.

She offered him the other cup of brandy, a glass of water, hands shaking.

Suprisingly, Nakshidil's whimper affected him more than resetting the bone had. Her quiet vocalization of startled pain caused him to look up at her, slightly bewildered. He watched her as she grabbed the splint and applied it to his leg. He had to move his hands as she placed it, and he firmly wound the straps in place, to hold his leg still while the bone healed, now in the right alignment. Almost immediately the fresh agony began to ebb, probably because of the fast acting alcohol.

He watched her as she grabbed another glass of brandy for him, and a glass of water. He took the brandy but moved to grasp her hands in his, stilling the trembling appendages with wonder.
"It is alright." He offered, rubbing his scarred fingers over her knuckles soothingly. Seeing Nakshidil normally so composed, agitated worried him. "We did it, everything is alright." He repeated.

The teen fell against A'Hallei, bawling. The brandy was knocked from his hand, spilling over the green silk, and A'Hallei was tackled by a small body.

One moment, he was sitting up, a fair distance from the girl, the next her body was pressed against his, without any fair warning. He released a suprised exclamation as the brandy was knocked away, replaced by a hot, anguished youth. He fell back against the pillows, Nakshidil coming down with him, his arms wrapping around her slim shoulders protectively. It was by instinct he had done it.

His body was solid and compact underneath the shift, smooth patches of skin interrupted by jagged lines where the scars were left, felt easily because his shift was very thin. The teal material was hardly more than a visual barrier, useless against tactile contact. Instantly he could feel Nakshidil, her curves against his, her silken raven hair finding its way inbetween his fingers, her tears seeping through the material of his clothes.

"Nak--oh." His brief protest became a groan barely stifled as sensations bombarded him. Heat, fire, pain, and desire all intermingled into a rush of heady emotion that caused A'Hallei to hold onto Nakshidil and cling for his life. To hold, to hug, to push away, to comfort? What was wrong, what was right? He was shocked, as simple as that, too shocked to feel the immediate violation of his personal boundaries by so innocent as a weeping girl. And how her voice, so lyrical and impassioned carried through him and lanced his cold heart, twining about it like harp strings the color of the forest canopy. Nakshidil, sweet, caring, niave Nakshidil, how could he resist? How could he say no?

She sobbed against the firm chest, trying to take care not to hit his leg, trying not to hurt him. She couldn't say why exactly she was crying... only that she couldn't stop. Every time her hand ran over another cut in the firm muscles, every time... she looked up at him with teary green eyes and wiped at them. "I'm sorry." she moaned.

A'Hallei quickly tamped down the rush of desire that was overcoming him at this contact, but it had been so long since he had touched anyone, so long since he'd last known lust. Nakshidil was a nubile youth with raven hair, just coming into the prime of her life. He decided to hold onto her, to rub her shoulders in a soothing manner.

"No worry." He offered a little lamely to her, clucking his tongue gently as she moaned with the force of her crying. He wasn't doing much to help, he lamented internally. Looking down, his neon eyes interlocked with hers, the color of life and growth, spilling over with tears, he lifted one hand to cradle the back of her head, feeling his fingers slide through the soft locks.
"A'Hallei is alright."

It was all he could think to say, from what he could determine was the cause of her distress. The cougar stood up and plodded accross his stomach, iliciting little 'oof's from him, to bump her head gently against Nakshidil comfortingly. He smiled down at her, though it looked charmingly awkward on him.

Nakshidil gave a soft smile. "Look at me, crying. And I'm not even the one in pain." she murmured. She leaned up, brushing a kiss across A'Hallei's pale cheek. Her cheeks were tear-stained, but her green eyes were shockingly clear. One hand went out to stroke the cub, while she let herself melt against the other teen's strong, comforting body.

Unfortunately for him, the cub decided his stomach was as good a place to nap as any, and plopped down where she stood, close enough to bump her head against Nakshidil, asking for more petting. However, between having one arm curled around Nakkie's thin shoulders, and another buried in her dark hair, there wasn't a damn thing A'Hallei could do about it.

Gently, he eased his white hand from her dark curls, but as he moved it to slide the cub off of him, she attacked it, teething the fingers gently. A'Hallei grimaced slightly, but let her continue, not wanting two emotionally upset girls beside him. He sighed quietly, helpless as the two curled in even closer, Nakshidil melting herself alongside him, pressed against him on one side save for his leg, thankfully so. The brandy was already starting to give him a giggly feeling somewhere in his belly, and the other glass...Well Nakkie was laying in it.

She calmed herself quietly, pulling away from A'Hallei. Squeaked as she saw the brandy had spilled between them, and now her dress was soaked and clinging. She cursed, springing carefully off the bed, grabbing another outfit out of the closet. The dress was already off and on the floor before the door shut, and she was changing fast.

He let her slip from his grip without protest, though he shuffled to the side a little to avoid getting himself soaked in the brandy now staining those lovely green sheets. It was almost a travesty, really. Silent eyes followed Nakshidil's form as she ran to switch her clothes, what was on now hugging her body even closer than before.

For someone who preferred nudity, she sure could change fast he noted. Her brandy soaked dress was on the floor in a flash, other clothes already on their way on. He inhaled deeply, toppling the cougar back beside him and freeing his breathing some.
"Sorry." He apologized when she was within earshot again, looking guiltily to the stained bedsheets.

She shook her head, waving a hand. "No biggie." she kept her clothes on so as to try and not embarass the other by being, well... naked. She -hated- wearing clothes, but... well... she didn't want to take any chances with her brother making fun of her for having a man in her room while she flounced around being a nudist.

She poured a glass of brandy and a glass of water, and slipped back onto the bed, curling up between A'Hallei and the kitten, and offering the pale man his choice.

A'Hallei took the brandy gratefully and began to sip it, not noticing the fuzziness beginning to creep up on him. He did however notice his leg felt somewhat detatched now, the pain floating off away somewhere. Whatever this stuff was, it worked. He turned bright eyes to Nakshidil, feeling strangely emotional.

"You have been..." He stopped to consider his words, "Good to me."

He was pleased with the simple statement and handed the drained glass to her, settling back into the sheets with a tired sigh. He lifted his hands in a helpless gesture and let them fall back to his sides. "I don't know..."

He meant to say he didn't know what he was doing, but let it hang before he revealed too much. What he said was truth though. But, he couldn't just stay here. It felt odd to him, laying on her bed, in her house. His leg was feeling better...wasn't it?

She smiled. "Have you given me a reason why I shouldn't be good to you?" she was genuinely curious. His comment would be oddly revealing, she was sure. Emerad eyes blinked, and she yawned softly, curling up with Cubbie in her arms, petting her softly.

A'Hallei was silent for a long time, breathing softly, head turned away from Nakshidil. In the tranquil moment he thought, hardly any part of his body moved save for the even rise and fall of his chest, the almost imperceptible thrum of his pulse against his neck, and the timid shiver of long white lashes.

He considered her question and his answer over and over again. Long slim ears could hear the contented purr of the cougar as she sat cradled in Nakshidil's arms. Here in this moment, he was safe.

Eventually, lambent eyes dewy with kind wonder turned to face her, dark forest and natural green meeting harsh neon eyes.
"No." He answered, with a sense of irony causing a smile to curl his thin lips, "But I have not been kind...To those closest."

What was that saying...? Bite the hands that feed you? He owed some people apologies for his erratic and...antisocial behaviour. He wasn't entirely sure this window of clear thought would last, but an apology had to account for something, right?

He felt like telling his story to Nakshidil, without quite knowing why. He just...wanted her to know.

She cuddled the kitten closer with a small, dreamy smile. It was nice, cuddling something so... natural. Somehow, it seemed more real to her than many of the creatures here, if that made sense. Really, the kitten here was. She watched A'Hallei silently. Didn't judge. No one was the nicest to those they loved. Love and pain... were two sides of one coin. Not that she could judge that in a romantic sense, but she knew it was that way with family. You always hurt the ones you love.

But it was in the way you hurt them that made the difference. That made the 'crime' heavier, harder to deal with. "I'm listening, if you want." she said finally, pressing a kiss to the tip of the kitten's nose.
