Enyalius sat in 'his' room, raeding a book he had chosen from the well-stocked library earlier that day. His feet were propped up on one arm of the recliner, while his head rested on the other. Since meeting Mikkael, he had become more than casually interested in learning about his... friend? Captor? He was not sure, but whatever the situation he did not really mind it. He yawned and flipped a page, enjoying the crinkle of the aged paper and the smell of leather binding. At least there was a good library here, and the book selection was incredible and very old.

"Perhaps if you didn't test my patience I would have more of it by the time you finally decided to show your face," Maybe snapped in reply to the demon's cruel sarcasm. Standing up, he picked up the book and placed it back upon the shelf before he glared towards him, his tail flicking around to show just how impatient he had become in waiting too many hours for the demon to finally show.
"Now, Jaukk, I would like you to meet Enyalius..." He said in a commanding voice before he turned and beckoned the demon to follow, heading out of the library and turning to walk down the hall, "And you had better be on your best behavior. I won't tolerate your cruelty towards our important guest. Do you understand me?"

"Temper, temper. You really ought to see someone about that, Maybe." Jaukk responded, just as sarcastically and cruelly as before. Shoving off of the wall with a grunt, he walked into the hall and looked down at Maybe with a devious smirk as he grabbed the other by the wrist, pushing him back against the wall with a growl, "No. I don't understand. The niceties you speak of are a different language to me. I'm not your pawn, Maybe, do not attempt to control me. I thought we had established dominance already, but perhaps we'll have to go over that lesson again." He growled out in a menacing tone as he released the vampire and began to walk down the hall, following his nose to the unfamiliar scent before kicking in the door, eyes landing on Enyalius. "This is he whom you spoke of so greatly?"

Enyalius jumped slightly at the noise, he had heard them coming but did not expect such an abrupt announcement of their presence. He closed the book and stood up, placing the thick, leather-bound volume on the worn velvet padding of the old, comfortable chair. Turning to the door, he made his own appraisal of the person who stood there, his red eyes curious. "Hello there, I do not belive I have met you before..." He trails off, his eyes tracing across the demon's battered face.

Maybe growled as he pushed past Jaukk and entered the room, turning around to glare up coldly at the demon before turning around to face Enyalius. "Good evening, Enyalius. How has your stay been?" Walking towards the cat, he gently brushed by him to run a finger along the old book before smiling and turning towards him with a sweet look, his demeanor much different than that he had offered to Jaukk. "I apologize for Jaukk's behavior. He's simply a social disaster, you'll get used to him."

Jaukk only snorted in reply to Enyalius and glared in reply to Maybe. This was simply foolish. There was no need in him meeting this feline, as the mortal was of no use to him. What did Maybe think, that just by Jaukk meeting the kitten he would become more friendly to the ideas they had spoken about? Glaring softly at them both, he leaned back against the wall and fell into a vow of silence for the time being.

Enyalius smiled at Maybe. "It is not a problem, Maybe. Among the many things I have learned here already is the truism that I should never judge by external appearance." He shruggged and picked up the book, flipping it over in his paws. "This is quite a book, I've never read about the vampire legend from the vampire's point of view before." He sweeps his eyes over Jaukk again, trying to place his species in his mind, and failing.

"Be as kind to him as you would like, Enyalius, but you will gain no niceties in return from a demon such as Jaukk. He's more damned than I am." Maybe said with a chuckle before looking at the book, smiling as he walked over towards Jaukk, turning to look at Enyalius again with a little bit of a grin. "Oh, that silly thing? I have written many things about the living the life of a vamipre, as has Mikkael. His is a bit more morbid than mine."

Jaukk simply growled at Maybe and closed his unstitched eye as he turned his head to the side, his hair falling over his damaged face. He really didn't expect a mortal to understand...In fact, his expectations of mortals were quite low, if he even had expectations in them at all. Growling again as the vampire walked closer to him, he put out a hand to stop him from walking any closer. Dominance. Jaukk may serve the vampire with his dirty deeds, but he was still the dominant one out of the two, and he informed Maybe of when he was too close.

Enyalius chuckled at Maybe's comment, nodding. "So, a demon, then? Well, the world is full of surprises lately." He tapped the book's cover. "You wrote this? It's an interesting work." He watched the unspoken byplay between Maybe and Jaukk with interest, having never seen a demon before. He had expected a more master / servant relationship, but he could not detect the appearance of one here. Most curious... He sat down in the chair again, leaning back and watching the other two silently.

Maybe frowned, glared, and slapped Jaukk's hand away before he turned around and walked over, flopping down on the bed, and unsatisfied and unpleased look on his face as he glared in the demon's direction. "Yes. A big, stupid demon." Maybe said sourly before turning his attention back towards Enyalius, his demeanor once again changing to be sweet, "I'm afraid it will be some time before Mikkael returns. He's found a mortal that is rather perfect for a lover. Apparently he's going to make an attempt to actually keep him... but I'll be here if you have any questions... and that was work back from my younger days." He stated pleasantly.

Jaukk only smirked at how his actions left Maybe so discontent. Being satisfied himself, he leaned back against the wall once more and glanced down towards his trench coat. Growling softly, he reached down and flicked a bit of dirt off of it before folding his arms across his chest, his eye narrowing onto the feline, "What're you so interested in, cat." It wasn't a question, it was more of a demand than anything.

Enyalius ignored the implicit demand, instead treating it like an honest question. "I am interested in you, actually, I have never seen a demon before." He smiled. "I learn things. That's why I am here, actually." He turned to Maybe with a warm smile. "Thank you, I am glad that Mikkael found a partner, he seemed so... distant, alone. Have you written more, then? I am reading whatever I can find on the topic, it is far more interesting than I would innitially have supposed." He shifted in the chair to the same position he was in before, sprawled across the arm rests.

"You really shouldn't waste such useful interest on Jaukk, Enyalius." Maybe stated softly before he looked towards the demon. Standing up, he smiled towards Enyalius. "I'll go get a few more for you. They're in my room." Walking out of the room, he glanced up towards Jaukk before walking out and down the hall towards his room to grab a few of his journals, or books.

Jaukk growled at Maybe and closed his eye when the other exited the room, leaning his head back against the wall as he reached up a hand to gently tug at a few stitches at the corner of his mouth. He looked like he was thinking, in which he was, but it was nothing pleasant...That could be somewhat of a promise.
