Yuffie followed Siruis and Zack to the materia shop. She grinned in anticipation. Materia was her favorite thing to steal. She wondered if she'd be able to steal some materia while the boys were in the shop. As the three of them walked together, Yuffie started planning her heist...

Yuffie made it look like she was leaving the party. What she was actually doing was checking out the materia shop for a back entrance or an open window. After a moment, she found an open window.
Using a thief's stealth, she slipped into the shop through the window. It was Yuffie's lucky day. She found herself in the shop's rear storeroom.
Yuffie let her eyes adjust to the darkness. With light-fingered efficiency, she quietly opened the biggest box in the shop's storage. She stole one materia of each color from the box.
She didn't know which color did what, but it didn't matter. She was asked to steal non-useless materia, so that's what Yuffie did. She'd let Siruis determine which materia was non-useless.
Yuffie gently and silently put the materia in a pouch tied around her left thigh. She secured the pouch tightly. She left the shop's back room the same way she came.
When she returned to the party, she simply nodded to Siruis and Zack. The nod meant "mission accomplished". She gave the materia filled pouch to Siruis and waited for the next step of the party's quest/mission.

Siruis looked at the materia, there was three yellow, one red, two purple, and four green. "Good, we need all the materia we can get."

Siruis smirked, and handed a cure materia to each of them leaving one green materia left, Siruis put the red in his cloak, then handed the two purple to Zack, and Yuffie. Then handed one yellow to Yuffie, and one yellow to Zack, and took the last yellow for himself.

"Can't wait to try out these new materia's," Zack said putting some materia into his sword, shoulder, and gauntlet. "Aren't we forgetting about Cloud and Tifa though?"
