Darkened Angel Vice Captain

Naturally, security got aware of what happened and a couple of men came out to the landing pad to see what was going on. Luckily, the whole incident was recorded and required little explaining, other than Angel claiming to be a master of martial arts to explain her quick movements rather than a Jedi, knowing full well she'd be at risk if it was known. After the kids were taken away by security, Angel returned to the casino. She decided to actually start playing again, so she sat down at a Pazaak table and put down a few chips she got as " tips " from people who enjoyed her company while she was just observing.

The jawa just nodded to the boy and sat on the ground."Join me, please."the small person said as he patted the ground next to him with a gloved hand. Not your usual jawa, especial a Basic speaking one at that. Jaren kept his force cloaking to that of a normal, non-force sensetive person-er jawa. "Perhaps one would speak to me?"he asked of the boy.

Link took another bite of fish and chewed slowly once more. "The humble traveler is already seated Sir Jawa. In the middle of dinner he was at that before your apearance." he looked to the fish and then to the jawa. "Perhaps it wasnt cooked long enough, or the water is tainted, yet notheless you remain. A trick it seems not to be. Therefore, the humble traveler is willing to listen to what Sir Jawa has to say."

Vaan cocked an eyebrow at Veron.
"I'll be the one doing the questioning," he said coldly, as though he were replying to Vagaari.
He slipped a hand into his jacked pocket and procurred the Imperial ID.
"My name is Commander Kev'aa'nuruodo of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet. At the moment I am representing the Imperial Intelligence unit of Emperor Roan Fel. I simply want to know how you're running this place, and why your bodyguard here," Vaan gestured at Gorwooken, "was trying so hard to give us the slip."

Veron pondered the questions put to him before answering. "We run honest games in the casino, if that's what you wish to know," He then looked to Gorwooken. "We are private citizens, as well, and Gorwooken takes his job seriously." A dramatic pause later, he added, "He looks out for suspicious and shady characters."

The jawa tilted it head some. Smiling behind the mask he offered a hand towards the boy."Introtuctions, first should be made, this one thinks. Traveler, called yourself is all."He jawa said as he returned his gloved hand to his side.."Jaren, my name is."

Vaan cleared his throat. "That is understandable. You look like good, law abiding people. So let me just ask you a few questions and I'll be on my way," he finished, his tone changed considerably.
"Down in the casino, I overheard some talk about something called the Community. Do you know anything about it?"

Donning his best poker face, Veron wasn't about to give him anything. Many years of gambling had taught him the finer arts of the bluff. "Community? I do not believe that I have, sir. Enlighten me?"

"What do you think?" Vaan asked Ashe in Cheunh.
"I don't really know," she replied. "If he's lying he doesn't show it,"
Vaan looked around the room for anything suspicious.
"Just a few spice-runners talking about howw this 'Community' was helping them avoid taxes," Vaan said in relevant brevity.

"I see," Veron stated. "Here on Cloud City, we also have our own law enforcement in the form of the Wing Guard. I'll be sure to appraise them of the situation, should such be warranted."

"Yes, well, tax evasion is a serious crime here," Vaan said. "I will have the Emperor keep close eyes on Bespin," he said as he turned away from Veron.

Veron almost thought to relax, but felt it prudent to keep his guard up, even as the man turned away. "You do that." he said. "And, I'll have my men look out for anything suspicious." Maintaining a tone of calm he queried, "Shall there be anything more, then?"

Vaan turned around again to face Verno.
"Yes. You are the administrator of this facility, a popular space-spot and tourist hub. You're facilities are full of smugglers, gamblers and the like every single day. The chances that you have never heard of this "Community", are slim to none. So I would like to hear what you know."

It seems as though Vaan had called Veron's bluff. Still, he had but one more card to play. "Cloud City indeed attracts many types, as you say. Some talk of this Community of yours does reach me in a second-hand way, via reports from the Wing Guard. Seems to be pirates that work out of the system." He stated. "You may wish to direct your inquiries to the security chief for more details."
(( Well played, FP. Alas, I'm tapped for the night, so I'll have to refer back to you tomorrow. ))

Gorwooken looked from the Chiss to Veron, and back again during their conversation. Veron's ability in the field of politics never ceased to amaze him. Looking at the chiss once again, he waited to see if he would accept Veron't response and leave.
