Abyss seeing the other leaving quickly rushes after them and dive into the portal the reappears flying face frist into the sand. 'grrrr i hate sand in my eyes.' he thought to himself

*Kura walks into the the monster cages and pull out two cyclops to act as the first line of defense. He has a rather difficult time because cyclops move very slowly. After constantly lifting and tossing those heavy things, he stands to face the two other castle defenders... after catching his breath*
Kura: "Here's what's going to happen. You two will attack Laharl from two sides while hiding opposite corridors of the main hall. If Laharl kills the cyclops, I'll fire off a few shots and make some stupid comments of his inability to act as a true overlord. He'll get mad real quick and charge at me. This is where you two come in from the sides and attack him. The Prinny Squad will back you up back by waiting in ambush in the rear. If he proves too strong then retreat and I'll have to use our last resort....which I REALLY don't want to use."

"Now, now, it's a good idea, but he might not actually attack right off. I'll wait behind the cyclopses, and greet him civilly. If he talks, we'll keep it nice and quiet. If he attacks, then we can taunt and surround him. I've floated around for over 2800 years, and I'm willing to be decent as long as he is. Relatively speaking, of course."
"And if things get noisy, I've got magic, and my own little surprises." He pats a weight in his clothes.

There are absolutely no signs of life whatsoever, at least in this part of the desert.
"Wonder if he left ANYTHING alive," Achan mutters, holding up a hand to shield her eyes from the blowing sands.
"He has. I feel life." Aederin points off in a direction. "That way. A city."

Suzy, the poor little succubus, looks about her nervously as the demons talk of Laharl attacking.
"Uhm, I'm not really sure he's attac--"
"Someone wants to come in," Zhuul, the gatekeeper, announces. "Says it's important."

Felara doesn't even bother to stop as she enters the room with everyone else; she just goes charging through the Portal without even glancing at anyone. For reasons she couldn't define, the look she'd seen Kilraq give her out of the corner of her eye made her very nervous, and she just didn't want to deal with that at the moment.

Felara looks around the wasteland and sighs, shaking her head sadly. "I fail to see the fun in a ruined world," she comments softly. "There's nothing to do, no one to see... it just all seems so pointless." She bends and runs her fingers through the sand, then looks up at Aederin's mention of life. "A city... but filled with what kind of life? It may not be wise to find out..." she looks off into the distance quietly, feeling sad and not quite sure why. This place just didn't feel... right, even to a demon such as herself. And that was never a good sign.

Keno glanced around a bit and commented to Felara, "Last I checked, this trip was more business than fun. Although if there's a least one fight, I'll have my cake and eat it too." he smirked some. "Well, nothing ever is accomplished from standing around." He then takes off, running towards the city.
As he proceeds at a relatively quick pace he thinks to himself, Wonder what got her in such down mood... and I wonder what kind of 'life' is in this city.

"Goose bumps? More like a headache...but it's the best way of travel..." she replied to Kilraq lowly but loud enough from him to hear.
Selene looked up that sky as she moved her hand in front of her face. "Hmm, I'm more partial to a darker blue, but maybe it's because I'm a ice mage..."
"Pointless or not, we'll stay until Achan says otherwise...besides, there's always ways to have fun..." She laughed evilly then smiled at Felara. Selene took a step forward then front as she felt something weird on her foot.
"Oh great, now there's sand in my heels!"
She pouted as Aederin talked. "What a sloppy job if he left a whole city..." Felara spoke again and Selene nodded. There was way too many possibilities. He left a whole city is a pretty much destroyed netherworld. No man seeking to rule over all or destroy all just leaves a whole city untouched. Either he was stupid and sloppy, there was allies of his there, or he was real an idiot. Personally, she sided with an idiot.
Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted as sand flew in the air straight at her, getting in her hair, dress, mouth and eyes. Selene growled. Not a growl like the kitcats girls do when they brake a nail, or even a beast when you steal his food. No, she growl was deep and loud, like how dragon screeches before he kills his prey. Unforunately, her prey was one of her allies. She looked at Keno with her eyes burning with white sand within them.
"BAKA! YOU JUST EARNED YOURSELF ANOTHER FIGHT! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" scream

I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" scream Glad for once not to be the center of Selene wrath, Kilraq leaves the two to quarrel. Not quite sure why, he notes Felara standing alone and quietly makes his way over. Seeing the sour expression, he taps her shoulder lightly with the tip of his Galatic Staff, the perfect twin of hers. "Don't feel to bad, I am sure you'll get to kick some @ss soon, if not this upstart Overlord than likely mine because I said something," he says, a normal grin upon his face, this time however void of sarcasm and witt. Not quite sure why he was trying to be uplighting, but blaming it on the need for team morale, Kilraq quickly turns away, heading off in the direction of the lone city, listening with a smile at the formation of an ice spell upon Selene lips.

As Kenosha and Selene ran off, stirring the sand on either side of them high into the air, Felara can't help but smile a little. "Some things will never change, I suppose."
Turning to glance at Kilraq, she frowns slightly and murmurs softly, "And some things are bound to, it seems." Feeling a bit of her anger stir, she glares at him slightly. "Quite the change in attitude from trying to get an eyefull to this," she comments as she raises an eyebrow. "Did you finally get tired of getting tossed around in the air like a rag doll?" She grins a bit, for once not feeling like smacking him over the head with her staff. "Eh, it doesn't matter. I'm willing to forgive and forget. After all, you DID buy me this shiny new toy." She grins fully as she twirls her new staff around, stirring up tiny whirlwinds around her feet while she waits for Achan's orders. She still wasn't too keen on the idea of heading to the city, but what had to be done... had to be done.

Aederin remains perfectly silent, until given room to speak. "I'm guessing that we may gather some information here. As for why he would leave a city here, your guess is as good as any. Perhaps he wants at least SOME life to rule over." The shinigami looks over at Achan. "What do you think?"
"I just wanna get this over with," she mumbles. "Selene, Keno, save your rage for Lacious, would you?" A small demonic smirk cracks her hardened face. It is the first smile she's had for the last hour. "Let's go to this city."

Kura chuckles, then he mutters, "...and apparantly we've all been around for awhile..." *Kura walks to his position at the opposite end of the hall and grabs Suzy's arm while he's at it.* "You succubus will stay here. Everyone else to your positions! Sparksol, I hope you're good at negotiations... sweatdrop "

Achan "I just wanna get this over with," she mumbles. "Selene, Keno, save your rage for Lacious, would you?" A small demonic smirk cracks her hardened face. It is the first smile she's had for the last hour. "Let's go to this city." The temperature dropped dramaticly as Selene started casting. Mana energy gathered from the dead Netherworld to her staff as she held it with both hands. Slowly, the white energy began to turn light blue then, a dark blue. As Selene started her incantation, Achan ordered her to stop. Selene stopped the spell but the effects had already stated, only freezing one foot of Keno's. She hissed then looked at Achan and bowed. "As you wish..." She looked head at Keno his hissed again. "Don't think I'll let this go...after Lacious, you'll be my next target..."

Keno stopped as he heard a slight commotion behind him and he raised a brow at the irrate Selene, "What's your problem Miss Mage?" he muttered, not knowing any sort of sand had came in contact with her. His eyes peered slightly at Abyss and he replied back, "Hrm, I guess you're her lapdog to say such a kind egobooster."
After Achan's interjection he grumbled, "Same here, we could if people would learn to control their temper for once..." he scoffed some then started walking before noticing his foot was frozen. He was slightly annoyed as he raised his foot to give it a quick chop, breaking the ice off. How ironic... the hothead casts ice magic.
"I'm your next target huh... how nice, Im honored." he chuckles some then continues along his way. This is turning out more fun than I thought, however, I had better keep an eye on Selene and her toadie.
