I'd really like to be around one inch at some time. I'm at 2ga now, but I'm rather fond of large holes. I just know that I need to get a job first before I can permanently modify myself like that. I only consider small piercings semi-permanent because I can remove them and only have minimal scarring, but large stretched holes tend to stay. I'm hoping to stay off tattoos. I really don't need another addiction. xp

Warning to those stretching 2+ sets of lobes:
Be sure that if you are currently stretching 2 or more sets of lobes, you leave enough space in between the piercings for blood to circulate through your veins and arteries.
I've read so many horror stories of people with 1" first set lobes and 1/2" second who's ear began to almost "rot" due to not having enough blood read those parts of the ear.
I, personally don't intend to stretch larger than an 8g for my second set.

I think I fall into the catagory of streaching 2+ lobes. I'm trying to be careful with them.
Those are 4, 6, 8, and 10 gauge. I'm wanting to go bigger later on. I'd really like to keep them as sets of four, but if I need to I'll get them scalpled(sp?) to fit. I'm thinking of going to 9/16" as the bottom one, eventually, and the second one up a 3/8" or the like, and so forth.
What do you guys think? Can I keep going to those sizes with all four, or would it be best to do a scalpled job?

In Junior High I stretched my ears up tp 00s and then I took them out to see how fast they would close up again. Now one of them doesn't seem to want to stretch at all, infact I had to push real hard just to get a normal earring in. Is that I sign that I should just not stretch it again?

I absolutely love it. Though like said for me it started with seeing African tribes stretching their lips, ears, and their necks using rings. It fancinated me since I dont know mabye 6th grade?
I like it a lot but I wouldn't get anything further than 8g just because of my age.
Probably in time I'll carry out but I need to make sure that having larger holes is something I want for the rest of my life.

..and then i remembered how goddamn sensitive my lip was.
I'll just stick with my ears.

as soon as I have some cash to get bigger jewlry with.

But I don't think I'd go over a 00g
After that I think it just starts to look bad.
And eyelets are just plain weird.

ok i might sounds stupid here but when it come to stretchig i know close to nothing. do they make tappers (or whatever you call it that you use to stretch) in small guages like going from 16-14? or 18-14 or whatever, as long as it doesn't get any bigger then 14.

Can't say that I've seen one. I just bought tapered jewelry at that size since I could never find a taper. It's such a small size, so tapers aren't terribly necessary. You might be able to find an acrylic one in that size.
