Tech looked up at Mari and she could see that it looked like he wanted to cry, but was holding back tears. Mari got up from the couch and picked him up. "Come on, you. Let's go upstairs to your room for a bit and talk. Away from everyone." She then took him upstairs and Byte just watched as they left the room. She kept holding Odin and just pet his tummy as he sprawled out across her lap and seemed to be enjoying himself.

Byte just looked up at him and smiled. "He's a nice dragon. Very cute, too." She then looked back down at Odin and kept petting his stomach.

Mari was still upstairs with Tech while Byte just stayed on the couch to talk to Smash. She smiled at what he said. "Thanks." She just continued to pet Odin and look at him.

Byte just contined to pet Odin and look down at him, but answered Smash's questions politely. "We like it. We've never really had anyone who looked out for us before. We usually only had ourselves."

She just played with Odin's tail that was flicking back and forth and kept asking her questions. "Who put you in there and made you fight?"
