To have an Unseelie rule the Seelie. To have the Dark ruling over the Light?! That'll fun to read! does Meredith have close enough ties to the throne of the seelie court to rule over them? Or is there someone in line before her? She had similiar ties to the Seelie throne as she did to the Unseelie before Andais made her Co-Heir... Did her rise to co-heir of the unseelie affect her status in the seelie court? 'Cause wasn't there this whole thing where she could acknowledge only one court...or something like that? I think so. Once Andais made Merry Co-Heir, I think she had to renounce all claims she may have had to the Seelie throne. I think there's a rule that says that even if she wanted to, she can't be on both thrones at the same time and since Andais made her co-heir first, she can't touch the Seelie throne. I think even if she married Taranis (ha, as if that'd happen) she'd have to stop being the heir to the Unseelie. I think I remember all that from the second book when Taranis invites her to his court... Or it coulda been before that... I don't think it was after... Yeah...that makes sense. The only ruling one court thing.

Does anyone else think that Meredith is going to develop some major mojo powers here?
I have a theory about what the white magical bird that flew into Merry was, anybody else?
I love the fact that new powers are appearring. xd

Narniakat Isn't her mom in the Seelie Court? Evil woman.. Yes, she's Seelie. But, with the power issue, does anyone feel that it's going overboard? Anita is going overpowered and you just know that Merry is going to go that way too...

Anita is going overpowered and you just know that Merry is going to go that way too... you have a point there...there needs to be some sort of a struggle...not just undiluted sex (no matter how good) to keep the story going. 3nodding

Have you ever thought about the differences between the Merridith Gentry universe and the Anita Blake universe?
I once thought it would be kind of cool if the two characters could meet but then I realised that they couldn't because their universes are too different.
I mean in Bloody Bones of Anita Blake they talked about how the fey were not permitted to enter the United states or something like that. And in the Meredith universe the United States was the home of the faerie courts. The two couldn't meet because they live in two different realities.
Just needed to get that out there.

I can actually understand why Laurell K Hamilton may not have set the two series in the same world...
Lots of fan letters saying, "Merry and Anita should meet!"
And gee, could you imagine THAT explosion if she made THAT happen...
Merry would no longer be a coheir because Anita would have pinched all her men and then killed her because she did some "bad magicks"...

Once I thought about it a bit I decided that I wouldn't really want Anita and Meredith to meet...it just wouldn't fit in with the stories.

I finally started reading my copy of Seduced By Moonlight. I can't wait to finish it so I can read through the posts here and comment (I'm afraid if I read through this entire thread now I'll find some spoilers XP). I have the urge to look up more information on the sidhe too, since before starting the series I hadn't read much of anything concerning them. Things seem to be getting far more interesting and I noticed in the begining there's more plot and less sex in comparison to the last book in the Anita series. I thought that was funny.
If Anita and Merry met (I surely hope that never happens) Merry would sex Anita up and turn her into a true Nimir Ra.

So now that i'm all caught up with Anita Blake I've
started the Mary Gentry books and I like it so far.
woot for bad a** faires and fey politics ^^
If it wan't for all the tourcher, rasism and other evilness, being fey would
kick a** xd
