She took his hand, and sighed meeting his eyes. "The doctor says that the chance of you playing football again, isn't very good and even if you do have the ability to play Football that you shouldn't." Jen said, holding the lock between their eyes.

you could tell he was crushed but he didn't show it. "so basically my football career is over." he said looking at her. Tears started to form in his eyes but he refused to cry.

"I'm sorry." Jen said, leaning over the bed and hugging him. She knew he was upset, but she didn't know what to say or do to help him.
At that point there was a knock on the door. It was Micheal. "Jen, can I talk to you a second?" He asked, shortly.
Jen shook her head. "I'll talk to you later." She said over her shoulder.
"Okay, but the cheerleading coach told me to tell you that if you miss the next practice, she won't kick you off the team but there will be consequences. I still need to talk to you later." Micheal said, closing the door.

He hugged her back. Tears were coming down his cheeks but he wasn't crying. "It's ok. I love football but I love you more. I can always try to get a coaching job or something." he said.

"I love you too." She said, still hugging him while climbing into bed and laying with him. "You'd make a good coach, except your hours would be a lot longer then they are now." Jen said, shortly. She looked at her watch. She was late for Cheerleading but she didn't plan on going. She could deal with the consequences later.

"I know but I want to appologize to you for making my life revolve around football. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise." he said looking at her. "now we can actually go out on dates without football getting in the way, because I won't be constantly going to practice or I won't have games." he said kissing her lightly on the forehead. "I go to surgery in the morning around 7, the doctors said you are more then welcome to stay with me until I get out of the hospital which shouldn't be more then a couple days."

"You know that I'll still have games, or maybe not since I've missed every practice we've had so far." She said, with a small smile. "Surgeory at 7, then you're going to need sleep. Maybe I should go, and let you rest. I'd be back when you woke up in the morning." Jen said, evenly.

"you know I sleep better with you in my arms." he said looking at her. "I'd feel better if the first thing I see when I wake up is you." he said. "and i wouldn't feel so alone if you were with me." he said.

"Alright, I'll stay." She said, kissing him deeply. "You want me to go and get you something to eat, I'll sneak you in fast food." She said, with a small smile. "It's about dinner time, I don't know if you ate or not." She continued.

She smiled and wrapped his arms around her, making him hold her, as she laid her head down on his chest. "It's all going to be alright." Jen said, shortly.

"I know. I hate them, as well." Jen said, her hand now resting on his chest. "What do we do now?" She asked. "You'll be out of everything up to 6 weeks even after surgeory." Jen said, shortly, remembering her med-course in school that she took while taking college courses.

"Sweetie, we'll think of something to do." he said opening up his eyes again. "I mean now i'll have a lot of free time we can go out on Friday nights or whenever." he said holding her.
