My pride and Joy Currently at 00 or 9mm Current goal: 1/2" or 12 mm  Close up Naked -Gasp!- gonk heart Both ears are stretched and are the same gauge.

But an aching is the most you'll ever get. Plus, that quote in you sig makes me think of Depeche Mode; and I'm in a very singing kind of mood. But stretching is supposed to sting or burn a bit. That's normal. Redness is normal, etc.
If it still hurts after a few days, make sure it isn't infected.
