A whirlwind of light, laughter, and emotion swept into the temple, soon to be followed by dark angst and gloom... and the faintest touch of anger. Darkness. Light. Vivid, solid, ethereal. All at once. Bright, dim, singing, shouting, life.

Harmony seemed quiet, seemed stable,
when seen from the side. She walked towards Etherus, caught between an elegant amble and a swaggering stride. Almost as though she was at war within herself.

Half of her smiled, half smirked or glowered. Yet.
.. it was quite clear that the Demi Goddess wanted to be there. "Etherus... Uncle." She laughed, and it was a sort of harsh and sweet sound. What did she want with him? Who knew. The flip of a coin might tell.

But perhaps her desires were a little less formulated than all of that.

"Uncle?" His voice was a bit incredulous. He felt the power coming up to him, so he knew it was one of the many daughters of his sister Kerosene in front of him. Not that he could believe it.

The little goddess was anything but the norm for her lineage. Most of Kerosene's daughters were lovely, gentle, and good. This one looked like the goddess of fertility had a trick played on her. Poor Kerosene.

His own nature was confused by her. He didn't have a clue which way to go. Dark or light, gentle or harsh. His goatee snaked out...halfway. It was like fuzz on his chin.

Etherus stepped down off the dais and went over to her. "Which of Kerosene's daugters are you? It's a pleasure to meet you, but your name would be appreciated."

He smiled at her, being friendly. And a bit malicious. Oh dear.

"You sound as though you
scarcely believe your ears, Uncle." Harmony watched Etherus from the side, so that only her "pleasant" half was displayed. "Yes, I am a daughter of Kerosene, and yes, I will give you my name. In due time." She flipped a coin, as though trying to determine something. Oddly, the coin landed on its side... not falling on heads or tails. Oh dear.

"My name, Uncle... cousin, whathaveyou... is Harmony." Just Harmony. Nothing special, nothing exotic. Not like a number of her lovely siblings. "And I suppose that it is a pleasure." That said darkly, the "other" half of her showing.

He seemed so confused. So at
a loss. Did he expect all fertility demi goddesses to be surpassingly beautiful? A smirk formed on one half of her mouth, leaving the other half in a sympathetic smile.

Really quite the look that wou
ld take one aback. Oh well!

Satisfied with her name, his nature was still confused. His face was shifting, until it almost mimiced hers, a mix between good and ebil. A true sign of his neutrality, he supposed. It still annoyed him.

He didn't know how to really approach her...so he tried conventions. "Is this just a friendly visit, niece, or have you come to discuss something with me?" He grinned thinking.

"Doubtful you are here for a blessing, though I would quite like to inspire it in others." Etherus winked playfully at her, wondering if he could get a grin out of her interesting face.

Harmony laughed, a low, throaty laugh which turned into a giggle. Oh dear. The poor thing could not seem to keep herself straight, could she? "Oh, it's friendly enough. What sort of blessing would I get, hmm?"

This time, her entire face took on one expression... for she was playing pretend. Her eyes were wide, innocent and patently falsely naive. She clasped her paws to her chest and looked at Eth imploringly.

"Oh great and
mighty Lust God... grant me that I might- ... Oh dear, I can't seem to come up with anything that I want." A light, airy laugh.

Anything in
particular that she wanted with both parts of her soul.

Eyes following the movements the diety made, Phantom rose from the bow as he was instructed to do so, folding his arms over his chest after he did so. His tail flicked once and then lay motionless as he began to scan the temple once more. Everything did seem rather perfect and picturesque - he supposed he could see why the God Etherus would prefer he not ruin anything.

"Ah, I'm not a housekat, Etherus. Your wishes will not be hard to oblige." He chuckled and grinned, dark eyes flashing with amusement. "I suppose it must be nice, having all these lovely servants wandering about. I'm curious: do dieties prefer many followers, or simply the love and adoration of a small pawful?"

He tilted his head, intrigued. He supposed his answer might hide whether or not the God wanted him to stay here; therefore, he listened quite carefully.

Clare listened carefully to the God, hanging on his every word, treating his tone like soothing liquor. She'd never seen a god before, and oh, it was everything she'd ever imagined!

When he touched her, it was as if a thousand little bugs were running over her, shivers dancing all through her skin, teasing her and making her want to purr and giggle and swoon. But she somehow kept her composure, and simply stared up at him still with her violet doe-eyes.

"I'm Clare de Lune, oh radiant Etherus. But you can call me...whatever you wish, I suppose." She said thoughtfully, continuing slowly. "I am often referred to as just Clare, though, if that suits you."

She nodded, looking so naive and childlike. "I'll treat this temple with upmost respect, you have my word...it certainly is a lovely place."

She flashed him a smile then, genuine and rare, before scanning over the temple as Phantom was.

She flashed him a smile then, genuine and rare, before scanning over the temple as Phantom was.

His gaze warmed on Clare as she smiled. He liked that he could make such a pretty girl smile. He said as much, returning it with a slow smile of his own. "Made lovelier by your smile, Clare, indeed. Much lovelier." His hand fell to the small of her back, and he swept her along next to him, inclining his head that Phantom should fall in on his other side as they walked up the stairs towards his main room.

"As for your question...it varies. I have found some of my siblings to prefer the adoration of the hordes. Myself...I enjoy the company of hordes. But for my truest worshippers, I need only a few. Those who truly know, and enjoy stirring and igniting lusts in others. Or even those whose lusts are so uncontrolled, they need my help to control them."

He opened the door to his outdoor rooftop sanctuary, and smiled at the two, lingering for a moment, of course, on the girl to his right. It wasn't favorites. Not at all. Etherus was simply male, and the God of Lust to boot. No, he was just interested in a pretty female face.

Sitting on a low bench he, again, gestured for them to be seated comfortably. Most of the time Etherus had a very informal temple. He liked interracting with those that came to him. And they were more likely to want to, if he spoke to them in a familiar atmosphere.

"And even though I know why you are here, perhaps you could tell me what might want to make you stay here? I am infinately curious, and I prefer conversation to more...direct methods."

Listening as the God spoke, Phantom tried to comprehend it better - but something in his mind just kept the words muddled, and only allowed confusion. Perhaps the words of the one he was meant to be with would sound clearer in his ears? He felt almost as if he hadn't asked the question at all.

He could only nod in reply as he sat on one of the benches Etherus had gestured to, opening his mouth to speak-

...what was pulling on his tail? Frustrated, he turned around to look. Though he was unable to see who'd done that, he found himself on the ground a good ten feet or so from the temple, completely distanced from where he'd previously been sitting.

Annoyed, he stood, brushed himself off, and retreated to the Clearing, grumbling.

Giggling, Evra Calypso hopped onto the bench where Phantom was seated, folding her paws in her lap and making faces at Clare while Etherus wasn't looking.

When the God had finished speaking, she made herself known.

"Heellloooooo, dear Etherus." She called out, lips pursed. "Seems your lovely-" She eyed Clare, looking her up and down. "-followers are crawling all over this place. Might want to weed out the bad ones - seems like they're just everywhere!"

She waggled a finger and tsked, shaking her head.

Eyes wide with astonishment, Clare sat near Etherus, moderately afraid of what this female might do to her. She looked over at the God, hoping he'd at least protect her if it came down to it, wondering if he'd like his question answered. It seemed so unimportant, now that there was this other creature here, calling her bad and...crawling...she wasn't a bug!

She cleared her throat before speaking, wringing her paws together and hoping she wasn't putting herself out of line by speaking now.

"Well...Etherus...I do hope you don't mind my calling you that..." Boy, everything that came from her lips sounded horrid. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to gather her thoughts. "I'm a dark angelic, as I'm sure you already know. Created by Vivica - I, most likely, in one of her darker moments. My life exists with a lust for belonging and an ultimate desire to please any god that might accept me...I suppose you might be able to point me in the right direction, or give me comfort..."

It had sounded better in her mind...she let out a little sigh, hoping that would suffice.

Ignoring the demi-goddess for a moment, for he knew exactly WHAT she was, if not which of the many; he listened to the sad little thing at his side. She was so nervous, he didn't like that. She should be calm. He'd not hurt her. At least, not unless she wanted him to.

The god of lust spoke calm, and low, for her ears only. "I would be pleased to help you as best I can, but if it is a place to belong and comfort you are seeking, then you, my lovely, have come to the right place. I would much love having such a sweet tribute to my temple such as yourself. That is, of course, if you care to stay." With that, he finally turned and grinned wickedly at what he found there.

"Ah, the wicked daughter of Kerosene! What brings you to my doorstep, pretty one? You have no particular wants that I would be able to attend to, I am sure." He laughed, jovial, Claire still tucked firmly to his side. "And it seems to me that you've already removed an unsuitable 'worshipper' from my temple. Why should I have to do the same?" He challenged her, enjoying it.

Etherus, Ethy... was flirting. And at her sister. While she was there! ... Perhaps he did not know that she was there. Hmm. ... Still... he should have known! She was so angry with him. And hurt. And... .... big tears welled up in her eyes, and she began to weep... loudly. In his hair.

She hated him. She really did. ... ... Wait, no. She didn't hate him, did she? ... She loved him. No. ... Hated. Loved? No! Absolutely not.

... She was so damn confused. Her lower lip quivered, large, expressive vary colored eyes filled to brimming with tears.

Ah hells. Why, oh why... had he not even noticed she was there. "Hate you..." she said, chewing on his ear, hiccuping on a sob. She pummeled his hair with bitty little paws, mussing it up before it naturally went back to its original splendor. Oh...

How dare he?

And he didn't even bother to pay a smidgen of that attention to her! He was her friend! No he wasn't. ... Yes he was. No! ... Maybe?

Blinking at the sudden loud, and surprisingly wet disturbance near his ear. Etherus' eyes got a bit wide, and a side of him none had seen before came out, as he reached behind his ear and pulled away a small purple and gold demi-goddess, clinging to the long strands of his red hair.

"Harmony! I thought you'd gone, why didn't you let me know you were still there? What's wrong? What upset you?" He fretted over her a bit. For some reason that no one, not even he, could explain, he hated to see the little demi upset.

After all, she was his only real friend. Friend? His mind raced to what could've possibly upset her. And he was baffled.

Garbled, muffled words, comment,"-right in front of me-" more hardly discernible words, sobs, shaking of tiny fists. The message of "I can't believe you did that right in front of me" was rather clear, if not clearly presented. Harmony was upset. Deeply upset. In so many ways upset, hurt, betrayed.

A rather complex little creature. Complex and difficult to understand.

She certainly did not understand herself.

She bit his paw, and it was not intended to be a gentle bite. Unfortunately, the two warring halves did not always behave as she would have liked. It came out the usual nibble. ... To her horror and private rage. So... about when it was going to turn vicious, it didn't.

C'est la vie.

Concerned, and confused as he ever was with her, he stroked her back and pigtails lightly, trying to soothe her and figure out what the heck her problem was. In front of her? In front of her was...Evra. Did she have problems with her sister? Seemed unlikely. Harmony wasn't the mean sort, for all that she was contrary.

He prepared to wince at her bite, but it was nothing more than usual. Which again, confused him. He leaned back on the settee, holding her securely in his paw. Though she was being odd, there was one thing he saw. She was ANGRY. But she was crying.

So she must be sad? Or hurt? But why? He really could not understand. Was it because her sister was here? It didn't seem to be something Claire had done, but he wasn't sure. He was never sure. "Harmony, please stop crying, tell me what upset you!"

Harmony glared furiously at Etherus. ... Or tried to. It was not easy, considering. She sniffled, tried to keep her expression straight, and failed to keep her lip from quivering in a most pathetic manner.

He was not allowed to see her cry. He simply wasn't. ... Was he?

Yes. No. ... Maybe? She stared at him, eyes wavering between intense hurt, anger, and disgust.

"My sister, Eth? In front of me? Classy. Real classy. How could you?" Well, that was what she intended to say. It didn't come off quite so well. Still, the general sentiment came across. Or should. "You're as bad as Gravon," she said, and buried her face in his palm so he couldn't see it anymore.

Again, blinking, Eth remained silent, watching the little goddess in his palm. Referencing him to Gravon was one awful thing he was sure he was not. Bliss' father was something not even he could tolerate, the drunken lech.

Was he a lech? He honestly didn't think Harmony cared. Certainly none of the girls here had cared. He was just...as he was. It was his nature.

"I didn't think you cared about it, Harmony. You know I can't read you like I can the others, so I do not know these things." He spoke lowly to her, disturbed by what she had said to him.

"And if you don't like me talking to your sister, well...I could be more polite I suppose. But I am already terribly polite, am I not?" He was like a puppy that had been told that chewing on shoes was something you didn't do. He honestly had no idea how his flirting had affected his little one, and it upset him that she was upset by it.

Thinking on it, he remained quiet, stroking her back. As bad as Gravon? Certainly not all that. He had NOT offered to impregnate any of them. He shuddered at the very thought. Not to mention, he did not have a mate, or children.

"Although, I do not think I am quite as bad as Gravon." No. Not even close. And to that, he would hold.
