Oshun Interesting. I wonder if anyone else has something similar for an animal totem, besides the usual dragon or unicorn.

I call her my animal guide..not totem. but it amounts to the same thing. The way I did it..can be found at this website. My animal guide is a red cat named Theora. When i was travelling overseas last year, and I couldn't find Theora, I found a rabbit instead, Sadia. She told me she was there for when Theora wasn't. Only, to me it didn't/doesn't feel like Sadia is/was mine. It felt like she was someone else's animal guide.. But now..I rarely get Sadia. I mean, I can still find her if I need her, but it feels like when I talk to one of my friends' guides.

I have a snake (big surprise there =P) and a spider for totem animals. I might have more that I just haven't yet discovered, but for now I am happy with my snake and spidey =) Snakes have always fascinated me, and I read that totems are usually the animal you feel the most connection with or the animal you fear most, or an animal that frequents your dreams, for me its always been snakes and spiders. Later a tarot reading confirmed my thoughts The snake I have found the name for, the spider doesn't talk as much, but that might be due to my incredible connection with reptiles that it was so easy with Syth. Of course instead of getting a picture of a snake, I went out and bought one, and then I save another, so I have two that live in my room with me =D I love them =) My ball python likes my hair.

Mine is a great blue Heron. I found out on my 6th birthday; we were at a lake and this little baby GB Heron was toddling around. It was sooooo cute and fluffy. 4laugh

I tried that spell, and guess what dream I had?
I was in a PET SHOP. With TONS of animals, mythical, exotic, and domesticated.
u-u;;;
I picked an animal to buy though... So, I guess that would be my animal?
It had:
These ears
This Tail
This body style+color. (Except the head was more slender...)
And orange (fuzzy) wings. o-o;;
Shortly after that I woke up... As a baby it was about the size of my palm, except the grown up ones I saw at the pet shop were large o.o;
I don't know what to call 'em...

It's a definite possiblity. Do more research, dream some more about him/her, and find out all you can. If it fits you the best, then chances you have managed to find your totem.

Hi Everyone, your thoughts and advice would be helpful smile i'll tell you my story..
For the past couple of months I have been seeing Raven's practically everywhere i go or hearing them, first i thought they were crows but with a help from my mums friend we realised that crows were common where we live and that she and my mum saw one with me once and said that it was indeed a raven anyway, i've seen and heard them while im at home or in my town, then at school every single day i see them and hear them, thats in a different town aswell, then another town pretty far away when i go to a tafe course every tuesday i see them aswell.
First it wasn't very often that i saw them now its everyday, i feel like their trying to tell me something, my mums friend has a book that i will hopefully get today that tells you some meanings of them and how they fly over you and some symbolic meanings etc, which would be good... and this thought has led me to believe that the raven is my totem animal or spirit animal guide... (another thing is that you have one certain guide that stays with you your whole life and then just a certain one's that come back and forth to teach you lessons - maybe thats it?) I'm not entirely sure but am planing to do the dream diary thing suggested on page one to figure out for sure...
anybodies thoughts would be fantastic.. heart

I didn't know I'd find you so quick after just joining hehe. biggrin
Well from what you said I do believe the Raven is trying to tell you something. It could either be your totem animal or something that accociates with your spirit guide. I believe I told you once that crows visited my mom a lot and it had to do with her Spirit Guide. He is a native american indian and his name is "Talking Crow". Crow feathers landed on the porch everymorning, it was how he communicated with my mom, revealing himself to her. Thats what it could be for you. It also could be both your totem animal as well. Thats how it is with my mom.
So maybe your spirit/totem animal is just letting you know its there and it wondering if you are ready. Best way to reply is the next time you see one or go into your day-dreamy state and meet it there in the spirit.

I've got the same situation, only it's crows...No matter how remote a location I am, soon enoguh two more more crows appear.
Not that I mind...I feel a kinship with them...even though the air isn't my strongest element.
Thing is...the other day I was at home and decided to feed them. I got out to the open field but they were all gone... the only birds around were seagulls, which I don't like.
So I scattered the bread around and said a little chant inviting the crows and crows only...in two seconds the place was filled with them.
I believe now that the crow is my animal guide... does this relate to what and animal guide will do?
