Se-vens Seven rose from his place on the temple ceiling and jumped to the road. He moved swiftly to the fighting ring. He nodded at Mad and smiled at Grazelda, waiting for the conversation to end before he spoke. "Goodmorning. I would like to sign up for competition. " He looks over the sign at the numbered contestants, and thinks for a moment. He returns his attention to Grazelda. "Sign me up as Timmy, I wouldn't want to confuse the numbers." "Awright, honey, let me get you your number." Grazelda pulls out another little sheet, it reads "7""Well, there you go, you're number 7, Mr. Timmy."

He looked at the stands of food and smelled the air as Se-vens registered for the tournament. Smelling something delicious he wandered over to the food stands. He found himself at an okonomiyaki stand and sat down. Ordering 20 servings he ate them as they were finishe being prepared. The other people at the stand stared at him blankly as he devoured the food.

Lyra stopped in the middle of the street, staring. They were alive with excitement and anticipation, a fullblown festival was underway. Abruptly she wondered just who the dark intruder from the night before trully was, the great Fox King himself...? Surely not...perhaps she would see at some point this day.
Food was a very important item to Lyra so she ambled about in search of somewhere she could buy a large quantity for little capital. She was really going to have to find a way to earn some gold...and quick.
Oh look...
Lyra had spotted miggy, looks like she might get a real meal after all, she made her way carfully over to his table with a devilish grin,
"g'day sir, if I can beat you out on servings...would you cover the tab?"
Oddly enough she was still finding speech somewhat difficult, but she did manage to make her voice a little playful as she eyed his food with exagerated mock envy.

He ate his last serving and drank down a large tankard of water. Looking down at the elven girl he grinned.
"Heh, little girl if you think you can out eat me you are strongly mistaken. However, I have grown tired of this and seem to desire some meat. Also, I am not in the mood to play games such as these." He turned to the person running the stand and handed her a small pouch for payment. "I would invite you to join me, although you have taken such actions as that I don't care for." He looked her over quickly not hiding it and grinned. "But since you did happen to give me a show I guess I can buy you something." He stood up and walked over to the stand selling roast boar meat.

* X-halo walked out of the shadows of the temple. His light blue hair seemed to shine in the sun of the mid morning sun. His emerald green armor sparkled with a green light that matched his eyes. He seemed to be about mid twenties. X-halo looked around and spotted an old monk. *
X-halo:"Exuces me sir. I'm looking for a female elf. Do you know where I might find one?"
* The old monk looked at X-halo. It was a little strange at how casual the strangers voice was for such an odd request. *
X-halo:"Oh. I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm X-halo, a warrior from a far off land. My mistress, Katt, has sent me to errand that requires the aid of a female elf. I know it may seem a strange request but I ask for any assistance you may be able to offer."
* X-halo took out his pendant with his gauntlet covered hand. It was a panther head with strange crystal eyes. The eyes seemed to glow with a bright darkness. He scatched an itch on his neck and put the pendant back under his armor while he waited for the monk to reply. *

The old monk nods at X-halo and points down the road to where everyone is gathering.
"If she is in town, she will be at the festival."

* X-halo nods and smiles. *
X-halo:"Thank you monk."
* With that X-halo turned and headed towards the festival. The town seemed to be getting more and more cheerful as he got closer to the area the monk had pointed him towards. X-halo just hoped he could find one before it was too late. *

Monia suddenly jerked her head up out of the doze she had been in while sitting up, noting foggily she needed to get some sleep. But somewhere in the back of her mind lurked something about fighting, so she struggled to clear her mind. "Dides. Talk to me. And finish fixing my necklace, I'm tired." She yawned widely to emphasize her point.

Dides had been thinking ruefully about everything she was putting off to be here. "I should probably leave, now that your neck isn't stretched over a blade," she yawned uncontrollably and added as an afterthought "Although if you're entering the competition they just set up over there, then I have an excuse to stay around, now don't I? Can't let you get into trouble... without me, of course." She waved a lazy hand and in a blink, the necklace was in it. Another wave "What were you saying?" and the square of woven grass was again green and lush.

"I said gimme my necklace already." Monia stood, hit her head on a tree branch, stretched, and pulled Dides to her feet by the hand that wasn't holding the necklace. "Since you brought it up, yes, I'd like to enter the competition. But first I need to remember which way we came from." She dropped Dides's hand, looked around, and then gestured for Dides to follow her relatively unlively gait. "And hurry up, I think I left my bag back with that deadly rabbit."

Dides hastily handed the necklace to Monia with a small sigh of relief once she had caught up. It had been an eternity since her last fight worthy of mention, and the excuse to stick around Monia was too good to turn down. Not that there had ever been anything immensely interesting about Monia, but the friendly humor shared between them was wondrous, and that alone was enough to enjoy... For Dides anyway.
"I was hoping you'd want to."
When Monia mentioned her bag, Dides smiled evilly, a twinkle in her very purple eye. For she herself had placed a spell on it, and it was this spell, in fact, which made it so heavy. It had seemed a good idea, at the time, to make anyone(but Monia) who reached a hand in it lose their limb, or one who peeked a glance inside lose their sight. Of course, this was the perfect lie for Monia to threaten with. Pretending to be a deadly witch has many humorous qualities. Qualities Monia would surely have exploited by now. She wondered briefly why she was so happy about these facts.
"How many victims?" she asked brightly.

Monia fastened the necklace in its proper place and hugged herself, falling back into the embrace of magic. At the cheerful note in Dides's voice, she glanced back briefly to read her friend's face. Oh, just peachy. Naughty Dides was emerging, and with her was coming hard times for Monia. Might as well play along... "None that deserved it. I left it alone for a half a week, and kids had been trimming their fingernails with it." True story, actually, only they had been another of her friends children.

Lyra's grin matched his...even if she did bare her teeth a little more than was nessicary at being called a little girl, but she was way too hungery to do anything about it. She dropped for a moment and became serious, there was a timeless look to her eyes that belied her small stature and bearing. Her voice was quietly insistent after his judgement of her, "She would not have let me leave any other way..." A malicious smile crept to her features at his reference, this she made no attempt to hide, following him to the vendor's stand. ((sorry!!! computer w/ better post went kaput...now wiped clean...so...much....school....work....couldn't...think....to ....think.))
