WinggemLNightTigress MST3Kakalina i''m awful about cleansing, and by awful i mean i almost never ever do it. sweatdrop i keep my main Tarot deck in a pinebox that i decorated with runes of enlightenment and protection. i also lined the inside with some of my own (menstrual) blood. they don''t seem to particularly mind--of course, i''m the only person who handles them, so. my secondary Tarot deck won''t fit in the box, so i make sure to pass it through the smoke from my incense before i begin any readings with it. i don''t know if it really helps or not, but i figure, even if it doesn''t, it makes ME feel better, so it''s all good. You''re menstrual blood? That''s the first time I ever heard of that technique, although I have thought about using it, but for stuff such as tools. You can try this technique which I have picked up, it''s not very time consuming and simple. You just put the cards in their proper order and that seems to get rid of the negative energy. that is what I do with my cards. I keep them in a bag when I am not using them and they stay in my purse so they are always with me

Silver Mist Since I know several members use the Celtic Dragon tarot, I took a pic of the prettier cards in my deck that wanted to be photographed. Here they be. ^^ (sorry the top 2 are so blurry- otherwise the post would have been to image heavy) Seven of Pentacles, Hanged Man (my personal fav in the deck), and The Lovers  Two of Pentacles, Ace of Pentacles, and the Nine of Cups  Back of the cards  Miss Silver Mist, we use the same deck.

Only person I've ever met in real life who used Celtic Dragon, her cards had an attitude. She didn't think of it as a problem, just something to be taken into consideration when trying to read. Never really liked it myself... just not my style I suppose.
I got given a Nova Taort for Christmas. It's not one I'd ever have picked out, the pictures are kind of bright and cheerful, but it's the most friendly deck I've ever worked with. (which considering I was using a Haindl up 'til this point doesn't really say that much... just take my word for it, it's friendly)
I've used pendulums and runes before too. My pocketwach makes a pretty good pendulum and I carved myself a set of runes. I've got books on astrology, numerology and palmistry but never really got the hang of any of them.

I use the Spiral tarot as my main deck, they were my first set and seem to be the best one for me. Recently i felt like i had out grown them and that i needed to start looking again, at which point they started throwing inverted cards at me and scaring the hell out of me with them. I have not done many readings since then but really should take them up again as i have been studying the tree of life some more and can apply that to them now.
I also use the Vampire tarot deck on occasion. The images tend to worry people taht are not accostumed to them and so i only use them on close friends or for myself.

I use the Faerie Oracle.....occasionally.....I tend to have trouble either reading them or figuring out their meaning (then again....faeries always were tricky little buggars). It could be because I never drew out my faerie guide card..... sweatdrop
I'm hoping to get some money soon to be able to go out and get either the Goddess deck or the Witches deck.....they both look very interesting to me! ^_^
My first deck kinda had a problem with them.....they were kinda.....dark in a way? One of the first readings I did predicted the death of one of my best friend's mother.....she died the next day. After a while, they just kept getting darker and darker (but for a while that could have reflected my outlook on life....) and continued getting darker still even when I started to see the light and life that the world had to offer. I ended up burning every card out of that deck except the heirophant....which I carry with me everywhere it go because to me it symbolizes my little brother who was miscarried on Valentine's Day. I never knew him, but I still loved him dearly and carrying that card around with me gives me a feeling that he's watching over me and that we are still close. The only card out of that deck that ever had any light in it was that card.

Reminds me I should get back to my cards sometime soon. sweatdrop Have a few readings to do for people, actually. o.O

Another thing is that my best friend had a similar deck (not the same, but similar) and now 2 cards are like.....haunting her. 2 cards that I know for a fact that she ripped up and burned (we did it together) and yet, I've still been there when it showed up randomly....never a good thing. King of pentacles I believe was one of them.....and Queen of pentacles? Not sure. Either way, they were bad.
