"What the heck?!!" Taizen cexclaimed as he fell a pile of snow fall on him, he shook it out of his clothes. "By Tui, and La..." He growled looking up into the tree, but not finding anything. "Stupid Chipmunks-squirrels..." EH growled throwing an agitated hand in the tree's direction, sending the snow flying back up into the tree. "Stupid niima... Stupid old man...Stupid chipmonk-squirrels..." He said leaving the tree behind, cursing the things he knew.

She blinked as he 'cursed' her and her eyes narrowed. She saught out some more snow..and thanks to him she got it. Yelping out in surprise she was tossed out of the tree from the 'return toss' of snow. She landed on the ground, flat backed. And wouldn't you know it. The snow followed her, covering her mostly up. Well now she was cold..tired..hungry and sore!

"Stupid Taizen..." she mumbled lowly to herself.

Taizen stopped, did he hit something? He turned around and saw another lump of snow, he saw some hair poking out of it. "Hah, dumb Chipmonk-squirrel.. Serves you-" He stopped, it was pretty dark, but the sun would be up soon, and a bit of the pink had illuminated the tanned fur, to actually be a lock of Orange.. Red? Whatever it was, it wasn't Chipmunk hair. He walked over to the lump of snow and delivered a kick to check if the thing was still living. Maybe it was another tiger?

She gurgled out a grunt as he kicked her and that just about tipped the iceburg! She didn't realize he didn't know it was her, all she knew was..he kicked her! She yanked into sitting position with all her remaining strength, thrusting her left palm forward and aiming a ball of wind directly at Taizen's chest.

"You have some nerve kicking mehhhuhh.."
And back she fell onto her back. More like collasped. She was spent completely and it was his fault! Yep she blamed him round circle for it. Her eyes drooped and then closed. Nappy time for the weary airbender.

"Yah!!" He yelled scared out of his wits by the appearance of niima, and surprised was he when niima sent a ball of Air straight into his Chest. "puh!" he gasped as he flew backwards, and landed. Taking time to take a few deep gulps of air, before Stomping back to Niima, fully intending on destroying the airbender, when he realized she passed out... And what was more, she was frozen! not frozen like an icicle, but she looked like she was going to get frostbite! Even if he was angry at Niima, and would probably be angry at his afterwards, he had to help her, he had no intention of having niima lose a body part, or die.

He melted the snow around her body, so that she was laying on a patch of damp grass, he removed the water from her body, so that Ice didn't form on ehr body, He bent down, and picked her up as gently as he could... She was heavy! Taizen was tall, Taizen was skinny, but he was not very strong, he gave gratitude to the moon and water spirits for not making Niima heavier than she was, and made his way to the temple.

Eventually reaching her room, he placed her body on the bed, and almost collapsed right next to her, but managed to sit at the foot of the bed, hoping guardian didn't hrut him.

When Taizen entered Guardian did indeed dip down into a pounce like stance, lips drawn back in a growl. The large feline's ears folded back then forward and it's stance slacked. Suddenly Guardian was Taizen's shadow as Taizen crossed the wrecked up room and to the bed. The sound of the feline's paws pacing filled the room as guardian watched Taizen with a keen eye. Once Taizen withdrew, Guardian went to the side of the bed, maw resting on the edge as the beast stared at it's 'family'. Slowly his ears folded back tightly against his skull and his gaze shifted towards Taizen. Question is..what was the feline thinking? 'You did this?' Or 'maybe Do something.' Whatever it was, the look was followed up by a small whining sound.

Niima however..well..She wasn't even dreaming and was looking almost as pale as when Taizen realized what he had kicked. But atleast he knew she was breathing right? The whole while he was walking to the temple small clouds of chilled air seeped past her lips. Soft but steady breaths. The only sound she made was when she was eventually put down, a small groan sound rumbled the back of her throat.

It would seem it would be hours before she would wake from her exhausted state. Close to mid-day hours if allowed to sleep to her hearts content.

Taizen winced from the Feline's gesture, he had felt both. Replying to the tiger with a face that said: 'what am I supposed to do?' He looked over Niima quickly, normally, he'd try to heal her body with waterbending, but cold water probably wouldn't help. He covered Niima with the blankets, he felt guilty of something... What was it? "You wanted to hurt Niima." His consiouse(Sp) said, "And, you got it." He put the back of his hand to Niima's fore head, it felt just a little bit under room temperature. He wasn't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing, the cold could have lowered her immune system, and nNma could have caught some virus that caused her a fever, or the cold had killed skin cells, and had tried to kill internal ones. He hoped it was neither, and hoped even more that Niima had passed out from the severe cold, and her body was merely trying to recuperate from that.

"Watch over her." He commanded the feline, though he knew he had no reason to worry about that, Niima had seemed very attached to the tiger, and the tiger was very attached to her. When he closed the door, he headed down the hall, looking for an elder monk, or refuugee, eventually he found one. "Ma'am! Excuse me, i'm sorry for interupting you-" He surveyed the airbender female. "Painting." He said noticing her brush. "But My friend is very sick, she might have frostbite, or hypothermia!" The woman looked scared, and got up, Taizen led her to the room. The woman examined Niima, making sure not to harrass her sleep. She looked a bit releived. What had she seen?
"She will be okay..." Taizen let out a sigh of releif. "If we keep her bundled up, and warm. Now, you watch over her while I gather some sparkrocks, she needs a nice warm enviornment, and I can only assume-" She stopped, seeing Guardian. "Uh.. Yes... A warm enviornment... I'll get you the spark rocks, and you'll have to stay and watch her to make sure her conditions does not change."

Taizen was about to ask why she could not hold the vigil for Niima, but she bustled out the door quickly. Taizen sighed, and sat down at the side of her bed next to Guardian. "You don't scare the sky bison do you?" He asked conversationally. The woman returned with the spark rock a few minutes later, and dissapeared before Taizen could speak. Begrudgingly, he started a small fire in an open area, making sure none of the special silks from her village were around, he closed the window, and the room turned cozy, and nice. Taizen sighed as he sat next to the bed Niima slept on, and crossed his arms, before blinking. Blinking again... And he kept on blinking, each blink becoming longer and longer, until he fell asleep. He would probably start snoring a little before mid-day.

Guardian never left the side of the bed, in fact the poor woman had to work around him. The whole time the feline watched wearly of the ongoings. When Taizen started talking to him though, his ears would cork outward in a almost amusing fashion. Even more so when Taizen asked of the bison. Was Guardian trying to look..innocent? Ha!

A few hours passed she started to stir. Her stomach was reminding her that she needed to eat. As she became more aware of her surroundings she heard...snoring? Guardian didn't snore..Then the fact she was warm came to focus and her eyes slowly crept open. Head tilting to the side she looked groggily across her room, noting the contained fire. How did she get into her room? Then the snoring again..Her eyes followed to the source and she blinked, now wide awake. Taizen! That bugger!

Wait..

Why did he save her? After all he knocked her out the tree...he kicked her...but saving her from the snow's cold touch..just didn't add up...

Slowly and carefully she sat up, lips pressed together to stiffle a groan. Her back ached something fierce. She noticed that Guardian's head was resting on Taizen's knee, body wrapped somewhat around the waterbender. She shook her head and tugged one of the blankets off of the bed to wrap it around her shoulders like a shawl. A second blanket was carefully pulled from the bed and she shuffled out of the bed. The blanket was drapped around Taizen's shoulder tenderly. Her movement had woken Guardian, who's head rose to her. Quickly her finger rose to her lips, bidding the beast to be quiet. What did she get in return? Guardian's maw opened in a massive yawn before he resumed position on Taizen's knee.

She stared at Taizen for a few moments, confused. He was such..a oddball..

Her head turned, hearing something going outside her door. Shuffling over to the door she opened and peeked out, seeing one of the boys bringing the flowers for the arrangements. There was more then normal and she could only guess it was for the dinner/performance. The boy saw her peeking out and smiled sheepishly and she returned the gesture. After a few pressing words she watched the boy run off, a small favor in her stead for him to do.

Softly the door was closed and she turned to rest her back on the door, using it to rest against it for the time being.

Taizen moved around in his sleep as Niima got up from the bed, he wrapped his arms around Guardian, who let out a yawn, making Taizen open his eyes a bit. He seemed to take a few seconds in recognizing where, and why he was holding Guardian, he promptly released the tiger, and stretched, apparently oblivious to Niima's new found conscoiusness(Sp). He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, and headed over to the fire, he picked up a bag the woman had left earlier, and rummaged around in it, pulling out a small cake, no jelly, or anything, a round cake meant for filling the stomach, and Taizen ate it, sighing contentedly, before actually acknowledging Niima. "Your not a waterbender you know." He stated, as neautral as he could. "Sleeping out in the snow doesn't suit you, what with the freezing to death that can follow..."

She watched Taizen cuddle with Guardian for a moment then seemed to catch himself, playing it off like a stretch and the corner of her lips twitched into a faint smile which faded as quickly as it had appeared. Her mismatched eyes followed him, watched him stuff his face without so much a word. It was only when he aknowledged her that she turned her attention to the window. It took alot not to ask why he had saved her, in fact it was going against her usual blunt nature and was very hard to do. Instead she simply rose her shoulders in a small shrug.

"It wasn't the first time I've slept outdoors in the snow...Just the first time I've exhausted myself to the point of collasping.."
She left out the reason she exhausted herself. In fact she seemed to almost choose her words and very few of them.

A small rap on the door sounded from behind her and she pushed from the door, turning to answer it. She disappeared out of the room for a moment before stepping back in, a tray between hand. Nudging the door closed she moved over to the fire he was resting at. Squatting down she balanced the tray on her lap so that her hands where free. She placed a bowl of soup and noodles near Taizen as well as a bowl of rice and fish, chopsticks overlaying the lip of the bowl. Last two items to be put down was a bowl of fruit and a large wooden container of warm cider. Once done she took up the tray and moved to her bed where she sat and began to eat quietly.

Well..as quiet as one could with a large feline eyeballing you...Her eyes shifted towards Guardian who's maw was on the side of the bed, watching the entire time her chopsticks moved even a inch. She found it mildly amusing though it didn't show on her face. Eventually she got tired of it though and offered the rice and fish to the beast. And sure enough Guardian ate it. Once she knew the feline was content she went back to eating, her own belly needing desprately to be filled.

"Your humbleness is unrivaled." He said dryly, helping himself to some fish, which tasted quite different from the north or south pole fish, Of course they didn't have the same kind of fish, but he was still debating on whether the fish was good or not, he decided to hold judgement until he ate it all. Then he moved onto the rice, and noodles. Watching Niima feed Guardian, he seemed a bit bored, he absent mindedly looked out the window, soon he'd have to go out in front of the Airbending populace. He swirled the noodles around his chopsticks, using some bending to conglomerate the noodles around the stick before slurping them all up in one giant slurp. It was a sort of habit the northern tribe had, and apparently, he had picked that up. He prayed to Yue for the meal he had, then Watched Niima again, waiting for her to say something, this could be a hobby, 'Nomy-watching.'

She finished and placed the tray aside, slouching somewhat as she sighed in blissful fullness. From the corner of her eye she noticed that Taizen was eyeballing her. Most likely waiting for her to break the silence. Her eyes closed and she released a slow sigh. "Are you waiting for me to ask why you saved me? I'm trying to refrain from my bluntness as you had requested which is why I haven't done so yet..."

Her head tilted so her chin rested on her shoulder and a eye creeped open to look at him. Her eye closed again and she mumbled. "Seems fate keeps pushing us in each other's direction.."

Her eyes slowly opened to watch Guardian crawl up on the bed to clean the remaining food on her plates. She slowly looked back over to Taizen, just staring at him. "I would appricate it if you didn't dance on my pain of being a orphan again......souk-souk.. If you wish to shove me away do it some other way..Regardless..thank you for 'saving' me..." The words where said so bluntly..so lacking of emotion it was almost eerie.

He sighed, and looked up at Niima again, Trying to see what she was thinking through her eyes, which to Taizen seemed so strange... They were, if Taizen had any 'Teenagerly' emotions, he would have said they were 'cute', but the way she could glare... She closed her eyes, and Taizen realized she'd chosen to speak, breaking any meditation he'd gone into. After listening to her he rubbed his temple, and sighed; it would have been nice If he could just continue sleeping... Or maybe if somehow he'd been ejected from the temple during his sleep. "Your bluntness Is part of who you are, I can tell your trying not to be blunt, but you still are." If Taizen wasn't blunt, this was a horrible way to convince Niima of that.

He hardly heard Niima's words, and only heard: 'Fate' & Direction' Taizen thought this was some sort of otherworldly view into his mind, commenting on his thoughts of leaving the temple. He sighed and made a digruntled look, which he changed when he saw Niima open her eyes. "What if instead, I shove you out of the temple?" He asked as uncaring as he could still manage, still, the comment was a bit irksome to Taizen, and his sentance ended with a slight tone of annoyance. But to make sure that he didn't bring the wrath of the Airbender on himself he continued hastily.

"I was thinking about leaving the Temple, and I guess it wouldn't hurt to travel with someone that isn't the age of a fossil..." This was his round-about-way of asking Niima to come with him, really he had no idea why he was asking such a thing, he'd only known her for three... four days? He really wasn't thinking straight. But the unknown was something that piqued Taizen's curiousity, and right now, in this world that had been so explored, and old, something new-such as Niima- was the equivalent to finding the cure to Pentapox... Although it seemed to Taizen to be a disease that had only surfaced once in the earth kingdom 200 years ago, but the thought was still the same; It was life changing.

"Look, I'm going to go to my room, and practice a bit, then prepare for the night." He said, with just a bit of weary-ness in his voice before heading for the door, as he reached it he turned halfheartedly and waved to Guardian, then resumed his quest to reach his room.

Her coy grin crept to her lips when he tried to 'convince her of her bluntful nature to be who she was. He was repeating her words and acting like they where his own. The grin shifted quickly when his words of shoving her out of the temple left his lips. Wha? He was trying to claim the temple for himself now. She sat up, ready to snap a comment out only to be beaten when he continued. A dumbfounded look swept across her face when his words finally sank in. He was..asking her to travel with him? Now that was..truly mind numbing. What brought that on? Did he feel that guilty for nearly getting her killed?

Taizen was so confusing to her. Like the shifting sands, he was never easy to read. She would almost say like he was struggling with inner demons. But still...he didn't like to be read so maybe he was simply throwing her off. Her lips pressed together as he stood and started for the door, trying to situate things before actually saying something. And when she did come up with something, he was waving and out the door. Her lips parted to call out to him but instead closed, lips sealed in thought.

A few seconds and she turned her attention to the feline who had also been eyeballing Taizen. What about Guardian? Was he going to be able to join them? She shook a finger at the tiger while the other hand tossed off the blankets so she could slip out of the bed. She yelped and wobbled a bit, flinching. Sore! But she tried to shake it off as she moved towards where the nearly finished yukata. Yanking it from the floor she shook it clean, using her teeth to tear the end of the thread and tie it off as she headed to the door..

Once done she concentrated on following on Taizen's heels. "Tai-Taizen..Wait.."

Taizen was halfway down the hall, stretching his back as he walked, trying to get the sleep out of his bones, waterbending was wonderful for helping joints and such, so he would probably feeling better by the time he had to perform. Then he heard footsteps behind him, he kept on walking, probably just some young monk he'd frightened... Or something... But he stopped when he heard someone calling his name, he turned to find Niima with the Yukata, "Oh, so, you've already decided?" He asked a bit shocked that Niima could come to a decision so fast, but maybe, she was just trying to get him to take the Yukata with him as a farewell gift, he couldn't tell.
