Muris mulled this over,
"I think that I understand. It's important to do everything in a proper order...that sort of thing. And to use self-restraint, I suppose."
She tilted her head thoughtfully, "Though in a way, doesn't that sort of impede on expressing one's feelings properly?"
Not, of course, that she would ever go against what Rosa was teaching, simply that she was curious to know. She knew her parents had been quite easy about expressing their feelings to each other without any of the restraint it seemed nobles had to practice.
"Of course, I'd follow your instructions closely," she said quickly-- she didn't want Rosa to think she was arguing with her, "I'm just curious."

Rosa sighed. "Well, in a way .. it would, but only in the begining, really. And that is really a good thing. A womans respect can very easily disolve because of romantic affairs and the like, such restraint keeps the youth, those unexperienced.. even those well versed in the arts of love from doing anything too irrational. Once you get over the formalities, however, and grow closer to each other.. I imagine you would both know each other well enough that any complications you had prior would be easily overlooked. Does it make anymore sense? I obviously dont have first hand experience in the matter... you... would have to ask my sister about that." She said with a bit of a snort before she also flushed red and shook her head. "Now walk in a circle as fast as you can with the book. Keep your chin high, and smile.. Smile asthough I have been patiently waiting for your arrival, as though you are beloved and adored by everything around you.. everything that draws breath. Smile as though you could cease control of the entire world in one quick moment, and are simply too gracious to do so."

Muris thought carefully about what Lady Rosa had said, but decided against asking any further questions about it. Best not to reveal too much too soon.
"As you say, Countess." that was right, she was a Countess now. Muris had completely forgotten.
The mouse walked carefully in a circle as she had been bidden to do, attempting to capture the aura Rosa demanded of her..
