Earthly Sekhmet

"Yes, I am Sekhmet," she replied simply. "Hello, Astra." She half-smiled at him, though it wasn't clear whether it was genuine or just out of politeness. "And no, I do not have this feed you speak of."

Sekhmet blinked at Astra while she waited for a reply. He certainly talked quickly, something Sekhmet rarely, if ever, did. So far, this academy thing was proving to be interesting.

Astra pouted. Phooey. This meant he had to have Aerin put Sekhmet under and he didn't know if physical stuff worked on her. Or did she even feel pain at all so whould she even need the gas for the surgery?

"Nice to meet you, Sekhmet!" Astra pointed his gaze at the gates that slid open with a cool hiss. "Uhm, since you don't have a feed, Aerin will need to put one in you. Will that be a problem~? It's a quick and painless surgery, just a little chip into your neck!"

He smiled back, only his was a bit nervous and obviously genuine. He was just a little too open, sometimes...not that he noticed in the slightest, as he walked towards the large doors, and beckoned to the goddess.

"This feed procedure will not be a problem. I can feel pain, but it does not bother me like it would for most," Sekhmet replied, following Astra's lead to the doors.

However, Sekhmet did not fully understand what this feed was for. She did know what it was, or at least the description of what it was, but such technical and modern things were at times a mystery to her. "What does this feed do?" she asked Astra, as they made their way to the building.

"Phew! that makes this procedure easier, in case things get botched. I wasn't all the way under when I got my feed in- and eeech. It was grody." Astra opens the doors to the front, and points at a brightly decorated door.

"That's where you'll get your feed~ The feed basically identifies you as a student, and gives you access to doors- so you can do what I did and open them by just sending a "ping" of sorts, the computer in it will instantly relay a message to RA's central database (RA is residential assistance and the Academy's AI), which identifies your ping, which is part pieces of your DNA and part data from just your feed, relays it back to the door and it opens!"

Astra hopped about, and spun a few times, looking up at the dismal sky. "It also helps because when you write essays and stuff you can do it all in your head, and do homework in your head, and your feed can keep a record of all your notes and assignments and everything! if there's anything that can be thought, the feed can catalogue it and utilize it basically!~"

He looked back at Sekhmet, and grinned. "Sorry. I realllly talk a lot!"

"It is fine," said Sekhmet, as she was intrigued by Astra's quick and long jabber. "This feed sounds useful. I'll be happy to receive one. Do I just go through those doors, then? And will you be staying here, or coming along with me?" She stopped to blink at Astra yet again, waiting for a reply. She both wanted to get on with this so that she could get to her dormitory and she wanted it to drag out because she found Astra to be interesting. But wouldn't many other humans be interesting, especially the other students? Probably so...

"I suppose you'll at least have to open the door for me?" she asked, assuming she probably couldn't open it with just her powers alone. It was complicated technology, and she was used to much older ways.

Astra nodded, and sent the relay, and the bright doors slid open without a sound. "Yup! Straight through those doors- then Aerin, the nurse, will greet you." Astra looked at Sekhmet, and worried his lip between his teeth. "Don't be put off by the...different way Aerin dresses. He just likes to be pretty~"

Astra waved a gloved hand and flounced off, half skipping and half spinning down the halls. The doors led to a warm coloured room, with a large amount of blossoms and flowery wallpaper to accompany them.

Sekhmet smiled in much the same manner she had earlier at Astra, and walked through the doors. She didn't know why she would find the way that this nurse dressed to be weird.

As she waited for this Aerin to appear and as the door slid back shut behind her, she looked around the room. Well, it sure was overly cheery...

Aerin heard the swish of air, and turned from watering a plant. "Oh, hi there!" His smile is sweet, and lips are covered in a thin layer of pink lipgloss (which matches his nails and his shoes~).

He set the watering can down, and strode over to where Sekhmet was, skirt swishing about his knees and bangles jingling like windchimes. "Is there anything I can help you with~?"

Sekhmet blinked at him, and wondered why she was supposed to find him especially odd. Mentally shrugging, she told him, "I was told I need a feed, and that you are to give me one."

Aerin nodded. "Yup! Let me get you prepped~ Once I do, you'll be out for a while. Then, you'll just wake up in your room. I don't think you have a dormmate yet."

Aerin went to a cabinet, and pulled out a cannister, and a mask. He walked back over to the lioness, and put together the tube from the cannister to the entry in the mask. He offered her the mask, and smiled. "Just put this on, and it'll release the knockout gas!~"

"I don't think that will work," Sekhmet said in a flat, simple tone. "However, I will be fine for the procedure without it." She wondered if this man knew exactly who she was, but whether or not he did wasn't bothering her.

Aerin blinked.

...He then, after a brief impulse from Sekhmet...realized.

Oh dear. Oops.

"Oh! Uhm. Sorry. But...okay." He placed the mask down, and instructed her to lie down. "I'm really getting fast at this, shouldn't take longer than five minutes, I promise!~"

And with that, he gently incised the back of her neck, in three cuts- creating a small flap of skin. He slid the chip in underneath, and let his fingers carry the small current of electricity through his fingers and to the chip. With it jumpstarted, he placed his fingers against the skin and pressed down, and then applied a quick sealant to the skin.

"There! All done. We can go to your dorms now," he said, grinning enthusiastically.

Sekhmet did not move at all during the procedure, and once it was done she got back up, no appearance of pain on her face.

"Dorms, then," she said, ready to follow Aerin's lead.

((I feel like a lame RPer because I never write much. But Sekhmet's just so... unresponsive and unemotional. xd ))

Aerin blinked. "Wow. You got some pain tolerance! Does it even register with your nerves?" he asks, half walking out the door.

"Uhm, we go to the left. Since you're female and all...we've had mostly guys enroll lately, haha!" Aerin gestured to the room directly to the right of the entrance of the commons. "Here you are~ Number five. Just try and interact with your feed enough, to send your number, zero one three, to that five above the door."

Sekhmet did as she was told, and the door opened.

"Thank you," she said to Aerin, and walked inside, assuming he was done.

((Gah gah gah! Sorry! I forgot to finish this. D: D: D: ))
