I'm also new to the guild. I play quints. This past year, we did "Somethin' Comin' On: The Music of Blood, Sweat, & Tears". 'Twas awesome.
Opener: Somethin' Comin' On
2nd: 40,000 Headmen
3rd: Lucretia McEvil
Closer: God Bless The Child
I miss marching band crying ....I have no life with out it...
But our winter line is starting work on our show to be titled, "The Tell-Tale Heart". Everything that is Poe. In music. What could be better.... heart

Our band is going to be in the Strawberry Festival parade..It's a small parade that no one's heard of. xd
Our show theme is Earth, Wind, and Fire. surprised heart I loved it so much. We played Getaway/September, After the Love Has Gone, and In the Stone.

our band did a "Sleep/Dream" kinda theme this year...and i think all my friends are doing band in the spring
they keep trying to get me to join guard or play pit but i like being a band missionary...lol

I've heard a couple of other bands play In the Stone, but it doesn't sound right without the fancyness on the harolding-like part. At least your festival is in honor of a tastey fruit. ^_^ Wilmington has a retarded Azalea Festival. I hate that parade so much. -_- And azaleas aren't even all that great!

My show this year was the tell-tale-heart!!!
and there was a big old red heart that convered the whole band at the end of the show..it was a relief that we got it right for finals...i remember when we were practicing and the fabric nocked me down as i was playing the show sweatdrop

our band actually did PotC (like so many others i know)!!! i miss marching band, can't wait until next season!!

Our show at OBU this year was Four Songs Hesse Likes. Hesse is our marching band director. We opended with Make His Praise Glorious, then played In Calem Fero, then Malaguena, and ended wiht In A Young Man's Mind. It was fun, got hte audience going. Since our football team sucked people would come just for halftime, felt like highschool, lol!
For Spring we have concert band and tiger blast. I talked about our blast in another thread, can't remember which one though. We put together a program much like the Blast (from broadway) program and tour with it, I CAN NOT WAIT!!!

we had an okay show this year... it had a greek theme, but the music was way too happy... there weren't any really dark and angry parts.. but fortunately this next year will be awesome! It will be a good vs. evil type deal with music written specially for our group. Yay!
AND we get an actual percussion feature! I'm super excited because our drumline should be pretty good this year.

When Webb said he was doing football, everyone was like "... eek "

this year our band played pirates of the caribbean and we were so close to getting state.
