Rin slipped over the wall of the palace, hiding in a tree in the garden. Being a demon had it's advantages, one was she was fast enough not many people would even notice her until it was too late. After her dismal time in Kutou, she'd come to the Land of Genbu, in order to see if she could catch some easier pray. She saw a girl in strange clothes and a white haired boy standing in a hall, and she smirked. The boy had powerful ki.

"That's sweet, Hikitsu." Midori then glanced down at the floor, a bit sadden.
"I'm sorry, Hikitsu... You know, for making you have to leave your family and stuff to...to help me summon Genbu... Maybe...if I hadn't come here..." she stopped.

He frowned and lifted her chin so she was looking up at him. "No, it's not your fault, and I'm sure my family will be fine. It's my destiny to help you, I promise I won't let anything happen to you. I'll protect you, and I'm really happy that you came, I'm glad I got to meet you." He gave her a small, chaste kiss on the forehead, "Please don't feel bad, I really am happy to meet you. Tell you what, I'll protect you like I do my little sister, you'll be part of my family, so even when I'm taking care of you, I'm still honoring my mother and sister." He smiled softly, his aqua eyes were warm, dispite their cool color.

Midori blushed a bit from Hikitsu's small kiss on her forehead.
"Hikitsu," she said before hugging him. "Thanks." She let go of Hikitsu and smiled.
"You're one great friend, y'know?"

He was surprised that she'd hugged him, but he hugged her back and let go when she did. "I'm not that great, I just didn't want you to look all sad because of me. You're really cute when you smile, so I just wanted to say something to help." He smiled, "But I'm glad we're friends, I don't have many of those."

"I like when you smile too. I have only a few close friends back home. I guess I don't like very big groups. Though, I will say this," she turned to Hikitsu.

Rin started to use her magic, enthrawling the lovely boy on the walkway. She planted the suggestion to come out into the garden, and within a few moments, he wouldn't be able to resist her. She grinned, an evil, feral smile, she couldn't wait to get her meat hooks into that sweet morsel.

Hikitsu didn't respond, then he started to walk down the path toward the garden. He didn't know why he had this overwhemling need to go to this one tree, but he also didn't question it. He just had to. He didn't even know he was walking into danger, because the spell kept him completely at peace.

Midori tilted her head slightly in confusion.
"Where are you going, Hikitsu?" she asked as she ran up to catch up to him. Midori looked at where the path led to.
'The garden?' she thought. Though concerned about Hikitsu, she still followed him to the garden.

Hikitsu didn't answer, because of the spell, he didn't even hear her. He was being drawn to a specific tree in the garden, that that place would make all his dream come true. His eyes were glazed over, devoid of feeling all together.

Hikitsu's lack of response started to worry Midori.
"Hikitsu?" she asked, gently pulling his sleve. Still no answer. Though concerned, she still followed Hikitsu into the garden.

The vampire was surprised that the girl was next to him. Based on her strange clothes, Rin figured that she was the priestess of Genbu. The woman hopped out of the tree and stood there, bechoning Hikitsu to her with her long, pointed fingernail. "Come to me... I will give you an eternity of passion, young warrior."
Haku climbed out of the carriage and looked around. Everything seemed fine, and in order. "Come my friends, let's go meet the new priestess!"

Hikitsu, completely under the spell of Rin, walked right up to her, not able to see or hear his pleading Priestess. He kept getting closer and closer to her, although something in his heart was pulling at him, starting to awaken him. It was his destiny to protect Midori, and the fact he was walking her right into danger. But it was doubtful that would be enough to save himself from the chi vampire.

Midori looked at the strange woman who was beckoning Hikitsu.
"Hikitsu," she whispered, tugging his sleeve, "do you know this lady?" But no answer came from Hikitsu, he was still enthralled with the woman. Midori tugged at his sleeve even harder.
"Hikitsu!" Midori shouted. Now her pacience was becoming thin, anger rising. She didn't like to be ignored, sure she doesn't like being the center of attention, but being ignored was even worse. Midori shot a glare at the woman.
"Hey! Who are you?" she yelled at the woman as she shoved her.

Shen happily jumped out of the carriage and stared at the Palace.
"It's so big!" he exclaimed, half nervous, half excited. Hearing Haku's command, he bounced up next to him and said, "Yeah! Let us meet our priestess!"

Ming-Ue wasn't nearly as excited as Shen at the sight of the palace. She stepped slowly out of the carriage and looked at the building. She was a little nervous. She had faith in the mannerisms and the such, she had, after all, been raised to be a lady, but the business with the preistess? According to legends, celestial warriors had died in the course of summoning the beast gods. It was a little unnerving. She approached the side of Haku as well and frowned a little. "I hope she's nice..."
