[Group One]
"R...right. I'm trying to, sorry," Amaranth spoke up, taking a few breaths as she continued.
"So am I. It's just... once you see the experiments again, it's hard not to think about them all over again."
The two of them had been pretty silent after that, let alone the Sharpedo Cera was now riding on. If it meant getting out of here sooner, he'd be quite okay never seeing any of this again. By the time they were all caught up, Blizzard's arm came up to stop them and some water would splash out in front in the process. A disgruntled growl came from Sharpedo as Cera looked down. "Sorry! It's a little hard to stop the water you're making with Surf. But why're we-"
The sharp gasp from Amaranth would be enough to make the Mew look around and see the smashed tanks, glass everywhere and shriveled corpses strewn about. "W-who... what did this? Or did they rupture during all the fighting?"
Amaranth found herself taking a few more deep breaths, thankful for the lack of rotting smells coming from the corpses. She'd be less thankful of the nightmares she'll surely have about this sight later, taking careful steps to avoid the glass. "I'm not sure I want to know," she commented, her tone terse. "You don't have to tell me twice to be careful. Though... why do I feel like someone's watching us?" She couldn't ignore the prickling feeling, apprehension at a fevered pitch as it was.
"I really hope not..."
Then, all at once, something would trip Cera's senses and see her jolt up. "Wait, what's- Tristen!" She'd get a glimpse of the appendage just in time for it to yank Tristen off the ground, trying her hardest to get any kind of mental read on whoever or whatever that appendage was coming from. In the meantime, she'd give a quick glance towards Ogerpon. "You! Ogerpon, right? You don't see what that thing's attached to, do you?"
"What the hell is that!?" Amaranth asked, wasting no time in tossing a ball and letting out the Hisuian Braviary within it. "Same reason I brought Squall, probably! We don't exactly have the time to hold back and be all graceful!" Both of them tried to get a better sight of their apparent opposition, neither one daring to attack so much as make sure they weren't about to be zapped. They certainly didn't want to hit Tristen in the process.
Sharpedo, increasingly mortified by everything in this room alone, was certainly not feeling less mortified by the appendage of something he couldn't recognize at all grabbing one of the others that Cera seemed to be okay with. Whatever it was, it was certainly a whole lot less safe than this group was, though he'd growl upon seeing Type: Null, another thing he didn't recognize. But any chance of animosity turned to also trying to stay away from the electrical discharge potentially hitting him, looking up at where Tristen was.
[Group Four]
As Sol continued searching alongside Reno, and soon Ulla, for the ringing phone, his desire to try and search more of the study was steadily waning with the gradual increase in volume over the last several minutes. It didn't take long before his hands had gone to try and mitigate the sound as much as hands clasped against ears could manage. "Right, still a place of Ein's creation!" He said- rather, yelled in an attempt to speak over the phone's ringing. Sol, notably, was not as loud as a rock concert, and thus had no chance of achieving such a lofty goal.
Ulla, however, might've with the bubbles she summoned, though he'd be more apprehensive given the last time someone had a good idea, it ended in them hitting Ebonite like a recently-cleaned window and an arm in a wall. He also wasn't sure if somehow the answer from the phone wouldn't just be more, even louder ringing. He looked at Reno for a second, then at Ulla again as he kept his hands ready to muffle his ears again.

"Nothing at all, huh? No weakness or any other material besides ebonite? I guess we couldn't get as lucky as back up there with the floor, ah well." Sub said in reply to Deo as they walked along, the man constantly swiveling his head around and looking up and down. This was still Ein's place after all, even without him here and it was just as dangerous as it was when he was here. They needed to stay on alert for anything and everything at all times.
Sub would stop in his tracks as he watched Wren fire off the thread and then send his Shiinotic up, the Snagem leader squirming a bit as he watched this. "I wouldn't uh...never mind." The man sighed, it was too late, the living mushroom was already heading up at that point. He wanted to dissuade them from doing that or anything else that could go against the 'rules' of this place. If there was one thing he knew about Ein is all of his experiments or 'games', whichever you wanted to call them, had rules to them which he expected you to adhere to. Not only could not adhering to his rules by harmful but to him if you broke the rules to win you didn't really win, you just proved him correct in whatever opinion he had come up with. It's why when they finally defeated Ein here it was by playing his own game, pushing him into checkmate. Maybe Sub was being paranoid but something told him they needed to still play by the rules, Ein or no Ein, if they wanted to make it out of here unharmed.
"Hm? The SNAG network?" Sub replied to Wren as he was shaken out of his thoughts, it taking a second before his brain recognized everything Wren said, like a slow computer. "Ah yeah, that might be a good idea. Cynthia was acting strange so I suppose it couldn't hurt to utilize all possible avenues to explain why she was." Sub agreed with Wren. At that same moment he took out a Dusk Ball and tapped the button on the front to release a Pokemon he couldn't bring himself to use often, the memories of his departed bubbling to surface every time he did, however the year of training helped him get over it.
"Absoool..." Cried Pluto the Absol as he appeared from its ball, the Dark type stretching out.
"Pluto, stay on alert for me. We have no idea what we're walking into in this maze." Sub instructed the Absol as it began to walk ahead of him. The man's thought process was Absol had the uncanny ability to foresee disaster so if anything were to come out of nowhere then Pluto should be able to at least give them a second of a head's up. It was better than nothing.

Reno would look over to Sol as the phone became audible way faster than they could possibly be doing by their own actions. Something was off with this thing and it was hard to full place what exactly it was, at least when it first became apparent. The slow progression into ear splitting pain certainly helped settle the issue, with Reno turning towards his friend again. "Who the hell thought it was a great idea to wire the phone ringer to Phil Spectrier's Wall of Sound!?" Pointing his left hand towards Sol, the slime hand would fire itself off towards the Ho-Oh hybrid's head. As it drew closer, the slime would quickly reshape in midair to cover Sol's ears with a makeshift earplug. On his own body, his slime armor would be doing similar to protect his own hearing. While his regeneration might be able to fix the damage from not protecting his ears, it would still absolutely hurt like hell and there was no need to try and flair up his old tinnitus issues.
These efforts didn’t help with maintaining forward momentum against the punishing soundwaves. It was like fighting against a hurricane with how much pressure it seemed to be outputting. Struggling along, the sensation would at least halt long enough after Ulla's bubble to let him and Sol get closer to her as she attempted to answer the phone. Preparing to have to grab something away and his Reuniclus already gathering energy to accomodate whatever move seemed best fitting to the situation, Reno waited for whatever came across the line from this mystery caller.
---
The sudden appearance of a pillar from her effort to see what the reaction might be threw Leslie a little, the hammer swinging backwards and making her stumble a little as she attempted to adjust to the sudden forces. Righting herself, she watched as Darts began his own approach towards the strange reactive pillars and witnessed them forming a...wave, of some sort. There was one unmoving segment but it was hard to judge if that was a lack of ability to react like the other blocks or simply them having a higher tolerance for whatever it was that made them rise and fall. Did she want to see if she could walk out there with the hammer or was that going to be the last straw before it turned everyone involved here into a nice fresco on the ceiling?
Hearing Crystal's offer, Leslie had to take a moment to consider. Looking between the wavy ground that did appear to be responding to weight and her hammer, Leslie would carefully set it down next to Crystal. Keeping her eyes locked onto the weapon for a moment, she would look up to Crystal. "Be careful. It weighs a lot more than it looks like it does." She offered, turning back towards the hallway and very carefully doing her best to follow along the strangely flat path that appeared to be there in Darts' wake.

As she watched Darts and Leslie slowly advance, the temptation to rush through the room with Agility gnawed at the back of her mind. But now that the situation they were in wasn't as dire as what Cynthia tried to do to them, Keiko had time to calm down and see things somewhat reasonably, and she couldn't help but worry that some of the tiles would trigger due to light weight instead of heavy, and that rushing through the room would just make it harder for the others.
Taking a deep breath and steeling her nerves, Keiko followed close behind Leslie, being careful to step only where her fellow hybrid stepped. As they got close to the pillar, though, Keiko became slowly more and more nervous...

Monique was hoping some others would help her gauge whether it was time to bring out Primarina. But they didn't exactly hear. There was some sort of telephone that was ringing, ever louder, ever more insistent.
And yet it wasn't the most immediate problem. The fire out of the fireplace spread, as if having a mind of its own, becoming searing. Monique fanned herself, and then it came close to the baddie, singing her—
"Fur!?" she cried out loud. The Illusion, at least physically, withered away as the flames had now spread to her mane, tickling places that in her mental state didn't exist on a human body. Panicked, she brought out her Primarina. "Help!" she cried out to Aniani, her mirror, pointing to the flames.
"Prima!" After a very short delay, Aniani processed the situation and let forth a Sparkling Aria, showering Monique with bubbles that counteracted the burn. She winced a bit from the loud telephone sound, which was grating into registers that mere human ears could not hear. Monique pointed at the fireplace. "Blast the flames, b***h!" She wished she could fight them herself, hand-to-hand, like a real b***h Deluxe. But she couldn't get burned! She was too pretty for that. Aniani, on the other time, was a Water-type who could try to extinguish the flames, or at least produce a massive billow of smoke and steam, with a good dousing.
Hopefully someone would sense that a bit of Steel would do her a lot of good right now.

Group One:Blizzard120 I turned around, seeing Tristen flailing, trying to pull himself loose as he got pulled up. “TRISTEN!” I shouted. I quickly threw my hands up to ready an ice beam but I couldn’t get a clear shot to whatever it was that had him, never mind that I didn’t want to hit Tristen either. In the panic, one of the Pokeballs on Tristen ended up coming off and as it fell down, it popped open, and in a flash, it was perhaps the worst one in this situation. The Pokemon would look around at its new found surroundings, seeing what originally was strangers, only to realize these were criminals. The eyes within the brown mask it wore narrowed and a infuriated growl came from the Pokémon, as it hunched up. “Blast it…why in the hell did Tristen bring THAT!?” I asked, seeing the very disgruntled Type: Null set to attack. Null and I then perked up when a massive amount of electricity started to be heard discharging. Tristen was trying to fight back, trying to electrocute whatever it was that was up there that had a hold on him. Various lights started to flicker, if not outright blow, to the sudden surge of panic electrical discharge that was unleashed. The Type: Null, if only briefly, stared in confusion indicated by a head tilt. Apparently wherever here is was not safe to anyone. Darksol88 Then, all at once, something would trip Cera's senses and see her jolt up. You don't see what that thing's attached to, do you?""What the hell is that!?" Amaranth asked, wasting no time in tossing a ball and letting out the Hisuian Braviary within it. Ogerpon had already been running at Cera's heels when the tendril had scooped Tristen up from the floor and towards the ceiling, but she pauses right next to the Sharpedo as the Type: Null appeared in the middle of the path between them and where the hybrid was getting drug, snarling at all of them. The masked Legendary growls lightly behind the Teal exterior of its mask as it adopts a fighting stance, recognizing the Pokemon from their earlier skirmish with Agent White. "Pyon popo.. pon pio pon..." She snarls at the group. Go and rescue your friend... I will take care of this one... She balances gracefully on the balls of her feet before rushing the ostensibly Normal-type, her sandaled feet clacking on the tiles as she unleashes a Double Kick, one leg then the other swinging around herself to try and make some space for the others to run past. And run they would need to, because Tristen was finding himself in some trouble... it wasn't a tentacle, despite all the ruminating otherwise, it was a massive tongue wrapped around his neck as the grotesque Greninja-looking hybrid drug him along across the ceiling, seemingly absorbing the electricity that the young boy was letting off, a grotesque bulging sac in the middle of its chest inflating as it did. It was still overall cloaked in shadow as it crawled along the ceiling, so it was very hard to tell what kind of monstrosity it was but the situation would get even more absurd as the tongue all of a sudden rears up, revealing that the end of the tongue was made up of the body and head of an Ekans, sinking venomed fangs into the youth's neck to try and begin sedating him for a meal. Group Two:Reno Vantas Hearing Crystal's offer, Leslie had to take a moment to consider. TerashiLeonGoken Taking a deep breath and steeling her nerves, Keiko followed close behind Leslie, being careful to step only where her fellow hybrid stepped. As they got close to the pillar, though, Keiko became slowly more and more nervous... Espeon_Commander “If I could suggest, Leslie, Keiko, you two go on ahead with Darts, but keep a decent distance between yourselves. Don’t want to see anyone accidentally sending anyone else up to the ceiling. And unless there are any objections, I personally think we should take the right door if at all possible. Maybe see if we could link up with one of the groups sooner that way.” There was no guarantee of that, but it seemed semi-logical to her. “Once you all are over, we’ll run and try to catch up. If the other spaces react to heavy weight like this one, then I’d have to keep moving to keep from becoming a flattened metal pancake anyways. We’ll bring your hammer over, Leslie.” The three ahead of Crystal on the grid would proceed further and further into the room, the Giratina hybrid tending to agree with her on what door to try to get towards, but as they got deeper and deeper into what was quickly becoming a deep chasm on both sides of them, it was hard to see an available path. It was very quickly looking like a concrete jungle of some kind, some of the squares rising up and at the top of themselves splitting open to reveal triangular palm-tree branches. They were maybe a quarter of the way into the massive room, approaching the middle of it without any kind of incident when all of a sudden they would reach a larger clearing, emerging out of the gorge-like recess into an area free-ish of terrain aside from the odd 'palm' tree here and there. There's a ripple of recognition that runs along the surface in front of them, each tile raising and lowering lightly like a wave passing beneath them before a set of tiles raise in front of them, spelling out a singular word. 'HELLO'. Group Three:SubonicXP "Nothing at all, huh? No weakness or any other material besides ebonite? I guess we couldn't get as lucky as back up there with the floor, ah well." Sub said in reply to Deo as they walked along, the man constantly swiveling his head around and looking up and down. This was still Ein's place after all, even without him here and it was just as dangerous as it was when he was here. They needed to stay on alert for anything and everything at all times. Atlantis_Darts Deo's x-ray vision would reveal that, as the members had originally suspected, these walls were made of Ebonite too. Solid end to end, as he swept them, he knew it to be true... except for one spot. As Sub led the group around the corner, there was all of a sudden ahead of them a spot in the wall Deo would find himself able to see through. Looking all the world to the naked eye like the rest of the maze, as the four approached it Deo would be the only one who could tell that the entire six feet or so of the wall was made of a different material. All he could see on the other side of it was, surprise, more maze, but without his skill they would keep walking down the corridor and onward. Apparently not as the group brazenly misses the section of the wall that had been recently rebuilt, wandering deeper and deeper into the maze unaware that they had just missed a key detail that may have thrust them into the belly of the beast itself. SubonicXP Sub would stop in his tracks as he watched Wren fire off the thread and then send his Shiinotic up, the Snagem leader squirming a bit as he watched this. "I wouldn't uh...never mind." The man sighed, it was too late, the living mushroom was already heading up at that point. He wanted to dissuade them from doing that or anything else that could go against the 'rules' of this place. Requiem of Whyspers Using his energy to guide it, Wren would test if the organic matter was enough to trigger any defenses and if not, he would bring the floating cotton back down so he could climb onto it. Deciding that might not be wise, he instead released Destro on top of it. The Shiinotic would immediately make himself comfortable as Wren chuckled. “See if you can spot us a path out of here, ok?” He instructed the Mushroom Pokemon, sending him back up at that point. As soon as the Shiinotic's head clears the top of the maze, there's a sizzling hiss that belies the energy flowing through the top of the place, and an unholy yowl of power echoes through the entirety of the place as something that seems like a massive laser fills the ceiling above them from end to end of however long the room was, shearing the poor Pokemon in half and letting its smoking bottom half drop to the floor to serve as a warning. Luckily, as a fungus, this would no doubt serve as little more than a temporary inconvenience to the Illuminating Pokemon's regenerative capacities, but the message was clear. There was something very dangerous keeping watch over the top of the labyrinth they were in. SubonicXP "Pluto, stay on alert for me. Almost immediately as they go deeper and deeper into the maze, Pluto's hackles would jump on edge. There was a devastating disaster of some kind behind them, tracing their path through this labyrinth and closing quickly on their heels. Someone so inclined would be able to hear heavy footfalls and an odd clacking sound a little bit following that behind them and gaining distance as they expertly followed the Snagem's exact berth through the maze. Equally as immediate, the group would find themselves in a corridor with no exits, a blank wall of ebonite awaiting them at the end of the hallway. Whatever alternate pathway had been blocked off earlier was clearly the true way to proceed through the maze and now they were trapped in a dead end. Group Four:MoniqueBrie Monique pointed at the fireplace. Within the confines of the study, the Water-type's dousing was kicking up a good deal of smoke and steam but even as Monique watched, feeling some relief from the intense fire in the moment, it continued to grow hotter and hotter and hotter, the flames and their licking tendrils starting to overpower the Primarina's jet alone. It was going to take more than one Water-type to lick this fireplace, and the longer Monique stood there it looked like the hotter the heat got. Reno Vantas These efforts didn’t help with maintaining forward momentum against the punishing soundwaves. He also wasn't sure if somehow the answer from the phone wouldn't just be more, even louder ringing. He looked at Reno for a second, then at Ulla again as he kept his hands ready to muffle his ears again. It was very strange, as Sol and Reno continued to stand still it almost seemed to them like Ulla was getting further and further away from them, the room stretching out impossibly as when she was once mere steps away from them now despite not moving at all she looked like she was miles and miles apart from the rest of the Snagems. Ulla_Hanabi Ulla then picked up the phone as she popped the bubbles to let everyone else hear whoever was on the other line. She held the phone out away from her face. ".....Hello?"Miles away from the other two Snagems now, Ulla's quick thinking had allowed her to manage to make it through the soundwaves and plow through them to answer the phone. "Hello? Ulla dear, is that you?" Somehow, incredibly, she would be able to recognize the voice of her long lost mother coming through the receiver. "What are you doing in a place like this? Oh, I guess that doesn't matter now... We were in a terrible room where every time we moved things would get worse and worse and worse and there was this terrible ringing phone...." As Ulla stands there, hearing the voice of her deceased mother she could feel the weight of the phone increase in her hands, slowly beginning to go from the weight of a normal receiver, to brick-weight, to where it was becoming almost impossible for the young girl to keep aloft to her ear, the weight becoming immensely heavy in a matter of moments.

Aniani's best efforts at first met the fire, but it continued to creep toward them, like a fiery shadow slowly and magnetically drawn to her and her Trainer. Monique huffed. This thing didn't wanna just catch hands. It wanted to catch both of them.
She decided to move. "Aniani! Move back! Don't let that fire hitcha!" She stepped away, dragging the Primarina back toward the middle of the room. "Yo I need some backup here, this fire gonna eat me!" she called out to the others. At least that infernal telephone wasn't ringing anymore. She saw Ulla on the line, but the receiver seemed to be pulling her, dragging her down...

Apparently Deo missed something, and he would not realize it. As they went on he ran into a dead end. He kept hearing something, feeling unease. He turned around to see darkness. His X-Ray vision still active, but could he see what was coming? His vision would enhance to see bones, but yet could he see what was coming? It didn't matter, what was bound to happen would happen in due time. What was the Minotaur of this maze of Minos. Feeling the wall, there had to be a secret button, a stone to push. Something must give way or something must seem different.

Tristen was trying to struggle against this literal Ekans tongue, only getting barely a glimpse at whatever monstrosity that had a hold of him truly and in spite of trying to discharge electricity about to get this thing, whatever it is, off his case and let go, it was effectively doing nothing. “ACK!” Tristen shouted, feeling something had pierced him around his neck. He couldn’t get a look at it in the chaos, but suddenly everything started to feel numb, then the struggling started to stop.
The Type: Null wasn’t even paying too much attention to what was going on, only was left in confusion about the chaos that was going up above it, but once it looked back down towards the others, it only got to see Ogerpon drive her Double Kick attack right into him. The designed Ultra Beast hunter yelped out as it got kicked back, leaving me to not even hesitate, darting off past the Ogerpon. I leaped up, springboarding off the top of the tanks then reached up at whatever monstrosity that was there. “GET THE HELL DOWN HERE!” I shouted, grabbing at whatever that thing was to drag it back down to the floor below, to bring it more into the light.
As the struggle to drag the unknown assailant into a brawl, a separate brawl was unfolding between Ogerpon and Type: Null. Not taking kind to the blindside, Null snarled at the Ogerpon and then started to get back on the attack, his forward claws glowing a lime green. Realizing that this was the fabled Oni from Kitakami, it couldn’t hold back. The hunter’s claws lashed out towards Ogerpon for a X-Scissor attack in retaliation. There was not going to be any holding this artificial Pokémon if it could help it.

The entire walk down this procedurally forming canyon, Leslie would keep poking and prodding at the pillars with a tentative caution. She was hoping that she might get some sort of idea of what they might end up doing next and how much force might be needed for them to be broken. And now some of the pillars were starting to try and become trees. What the hell was this entire hallway attempting to replicate?
And then, as they wandered into what seemed to be a clearing in this strange facsimile of some other environment, the entire thing rippled. Not like they hit a point and it rippled outward from there. No, it seemed more like the entire room rippled from front to back. And then it started spelling a word at them. Oh, this could only end well. Figuring that she looked the least threatening of the hybrid crew, Leslie would walk forward towards the giant 'HELLO'. "Hi there. Who are you and why do you seem to know us?"
-----
Reno had started out waiting a foot or two away from Ulla as she answered the phone, prepared to listen and respond to whoever was on the other end. In the time it took to look back at what Monique was handling and turning back to where Ulla was, the room had suddenly turned into a highway that had him and Sol at one end and Ulla at the other. Was something responding to them? Something seemed to be....altering reality? Or maybe their perception of it? He needed to be paying attention when something changed or fought back this time. Opening up a Pokeball and letting his hidden passenger dislodge herself, he would look to his Wyanut and Finizen. "Alright, Nori. Help out with the fire fighting with a Water Gun. Harleen.....lets see if we can pick anything up." Reno commanded, watching as the small Water type gave a chirp before swimming its way over beside Monique's Primarina. It would take a moment to gather the energy, but soon Nori would be dousing the flames with a torrent of water alongside his fellow Water type.
Facing towards where Ulla was with the phone, Reno would take off in a run towards his fellow Snagem. "Sol, we need to see if we can get a response from whatever is doing this. Make the room respond to you somehow! Start unshelving books, poking paintings, helping Monique, something to make it do things!" Reno yelled as he continued his sprint, focusing all his power onto his telepathy and other senses to try and get something out of this. Whether it was the mind of what was doing this, a pulse of energy, the sound of mechanical things moving, anything. Anything to work off of to figure out how things were working this way.

"It's no good! I can't get a read on it!" Cera shouted out, finding herself suddenly turned alongside Sharpedo when he saw Ogerpon stop next to him and snarled. But it wouldn't be him that she was picking a fight with so much as the Type: Null. An enemy of an enemy, perhaps? Whatever the case, she was telling them to run ahead, to rescue someone that was no friend to him.
To Cera, it was clear that Ogerpon hadn't had any better sight of the monstrosity present, unless she was counting the Type: Null as that. "Take care of... whatever that thing is above us, we need to take care of that first! Could we-"
"Cera, just let them fight!" Amaranth yelled, already rushing ahead alongside Squall. After seeing yet another fight breaking out, the storms could swirl and rage all they wanted so long as there was a way to pierce through. "Tristen needs us now, we'll deal with whatever's left of them later! We won't get anything done trying to mediate everything!"
Before long, she'd catch up to where Blizzard had tried to grab at Tristen's assailant, motioning forward. "Now, Squall! Close in with Esper Wing!" Finesse not being Squall's strong suit, the Hisuian Braviary would let out a screech as he flew forth and sped towards the monstrosity, wings glowing with an aura of Psychic energy and generating a draft to speed him up that little bit further.
"But that's... what..." Cera wouldn't get time to protest much, sighing as she forced Sharpedo along by manipulating the water keeping him off the ground in the first place. A snarl would come from him almost immediately after, demanding to know what she was doing. "...We're... I'M helping him." She'd remark, lifting herself off and leaving the water to do what it will. "I know the kind of things Ein'd create, they'll kill him if we don't. So I'm making sure they don't."
Taking off herself and leaving Sharpedo between both battles breaking out, she'd try to get a psychokinetic grip on Tristen in lieu of trying to get a read that wasn't coming to her.
[Group Four]
Sol's move to brace himself would see the room stretch out, almost endlessly, and what was once a foot now looked like miles. Ulla had entirely left his sight from the distance, let alone any chance of hearing from that far away. He looked around, still able to hear Monique's remarks about the fire, and barely catching that Reno had even started running and hearing a distant remark about getting a response. That last bit would make something start to click in place, making him start walking again. Monique never left the fireplace when the rest started for the phone. The phone, still where it was when Ulla answered, had kept intensifying like a sudden hurricane of noise. Ulla was on the phone, wherever she was now.
He and Reno waited for an answer. An answer that would never come if they kept waiting for it. They didn't need to see about getting a response. It was already being provided to them.
"...The room already is responding. It's been responding to us this whole time because we weren't responding to it!" He yelled out. "And unless you're willing to make it rain, I don't exactly have a way to douse flames at the moment!" He also didn't have a plan for escape, yet. But he was making sure he kept walking.

Crystal would look at Leslie’s hammer, raising one of her constellation-like eyebrows. She figured it was heavy, and she also wondered if Leslie knew how much she actually weighed. Still, the galactic hybrid nodded and leaned on the handle of the hammer, watching the others move on for a moment. Eventually she would close her eyes to just focus on calming herself and somehow getting better, a few more coughs erupting from her. The effects of that gas were still being felt, and as much as she planned on it, she wasn’t actually quite sure how well her reaction time would be. She could only hope that it would be good enough when it came time for her to run. Reno Vantas And then, as they wandered into what seemed to be a clearing in this strange facsimile of some other environment, the entire thing rippled. "Hi there. Who are you and why do you seem to know us?" It was pretty easy to hear Leslie in the room, even when Crystal was back at their start point. And hearing her made Crystal open her eyes, confused. Who was in there with them? She couldn’t sense anyone else in there with them, unless they were a dark type, and she would have expected to hear the sounds of fighting otherwise. Unless… Crystal’s gaze went down to the tiles themselves, gears starting to spin once again. Leslie said hi to something, but she couldn’t sense anything new. What if… the floor was alive? Something was controlling these bricks, if that pillar was… Wait. Wait wait wait. Bricks. Something controlling them. This was reminding her of something else. Something that she encountered outside of Snagem, and somewhat within it, now that she thought of it. “...No. It couldn’t. Could it?” The hybrid’s thoughts started reworking themselves. What if it wasn’t reacting because of weight specifically, but because something heavy hit it? Deciding to test this now, she would drag the hammer behind her to the edge of the grid, before she would put a tentative paw onto one of the tiles gently. Time to see whether this step would shoot another set of tiles into the ceiling.

Amber followed after Sub and the others as they made their way along the corridor, keeping a hand on the wall to see if she could feel anything different. She purposely didn't call Bubbles out to try and go over the wall, not sure what was waiting for them, and it seemed that was a good choice, as Wren's Shiinotic was on the receiving end of something that, to her, looked like some kind of laser. "So going over is a no-go," she said, half to herself as she watched the fallen fungus with a slightly sick look on her face. Taking a chance, she let Spooky out of his ball, giving him a signal to go intangible and check along the wall to see if they missed something, to see if there was a place he might be able to phase through.
The sudden raising of Pluto's hackles stopped her in her tracks, and she tuned out the sound of her teammates, listening to see if anything was following them. Sure enough, she could hear heavy footsteps, along with a slight clacking noise. Whatever was making the noise was following in their footsteps, and the hairs on the back of her neck raised as she realized they were trapped in a dead end. "I get the feeling we've missed something that would have allowed us to bypass whatever is making that noise," she said. "And by the noise I'm hearing, I believe we're about to have a fight on our hands."

Before he heard the sounds of something or someone approaching Sub noticed the hairs on Pluto's back standing up, the man becoming alert as he stopped to scan the area. Upon hearing his first foot step he quickly recalled Pluto, clipped his ball back onto his belt and took out another Dusk Ball, releasing Poe the Sableye.
"Hehe! What are we-...?" Poe began to say, his immediate action to be deviously playful, like always, however upon seeing Sub's face the Sableye knew something was wrong and began to cast a suspicious eye about their environment as well.
"We're at a dead end and I'm not about to take any chances here. Poe, Mega Evolve." The Snagem leader said as he brought his Snag Machine gloved hand to his chest and pressed the Key Stone on the device. The Key Stone would resonate with the Sablenite embedded in Poe's back, bolts of brilliant energy from the stones connecting Sub and Poe in this moment. A cocoon of energy would surround Poe, solidify in crystalline form, and then shatter to reveal Poe slightly altered, holding up a gemstone twice his own size.
"Protect." Sub ordered. If something was coming for them he would let them come but not before putting up a defense. Once they realized what it was they could figure out what to do about it.
Mega Poe would nod before sending his gem shield out in front of him spinning on its bottom tip. With the gem spinning faster and faster it broke up into tiny gemstone grains. The grains would gather together and reform into a box of crystalline energy around all four of them, protecting them from any would be attackers.
"Whoever...or whatever you are...you can show yourself now." Sub called out to the darkness.

Ulla waited a moment to hear another voice on the other line. She thought it would be someone like Ein or Cynthia. But her dead mother? She didn't want to believe it was actually true her parents were here. Her stomach curled as she stood their frozen. She knew that was her voice, there was no denying it. She repeated videos of her parents when she was a newborn baby and when Leon was 10. Before she could ask anything, she looked back as she saw Sol and Reno almost miles away.
"We were in a terrible room where every time we moved things would get worse and worse and worse and there was this terrible ringing phone...."
"Wait what? How did you-" Before she could say anything she felt the phone get heavier out of nowhere. She kept it up as long as she could. "LUCARIO!" She shouted as her Lucario popped out of their Pokeball and helped the girl hold it up. For now, the only thing she could thing of to bring it back to normal. Was put it back...But, deep down she wanted to keep talking to her. "How do we get out of the room?! Where is dad?! How can I see you guys?!" Both Ulla and Lucario somehow were able to hold onto it over the reciever. Not letting go just yet, because they weren't sure if they do hang up. Would the ringing start all over again? "Should we destroy the phone?" "No! She said anytime they change anything in the room. Things got worse. If I'm correct...we are in a room that is kind of stored in time in a way. If we were to mess anything in the room, things will go haywire. We might be the variable that is causing the room to go haywire. Now we need to solve how to get out."
