Since Coco had been with Iðavöllr she jumped on the root that had grabbed them and attempted to bite and claw them free from the root. She was sad for the being who was so sad and had gotten such a terrible gift from someone long ago that was hurting this world so badly. Still, she had agreed to help and there was lots of helping to be done clearly. She noticed someone else was trying to help to and others were grabbed by the roots but she decided to start out helping in the closest location to her at the time.

Silistra
Attacking Athalia's root
Silistra notice that there were already two helping free someone from one of the roots so she went to another trapped figure and she carefully struck at the root to try and get it to release the figure without hitting them as well with her lamp. She huffed a breath this wonder needed a lot of help. She wondered if her own wonder was in need of help as well. "Hi, I'm Silistra." She was hoping if she chatted with them a bit perhaps it would help to keep them calm in this uncomfortable situation. She continued to try to get the root to let go.
The Senshi of Prayer took her eyes off The Code for a brief moment to survey the small group. Three, five, six, seven... Seven people entangled in roots but it seemed that those who had been attacking the tree were prompt at turning their attention to the new threat.
Still Acrucis hesitated with her last use of Renew, trying to access the situation long enough to determine if it should be cast on an ally instead.
Aside from the Knight that had summoned them, nobody else seemed seriously injured at the moment and so she errored on the side of their current mission and used her third basic prayer on The Code.
Iðavöllr is attempting to help Chibi Tachibana - success Roots left: 3/7
Iðavöllr had given a sigh of relief when that last hit had hit the tree - not that she could tell what it was exactly had hit the tree because there had kind of been a barrage of things - and not all of them had been stones–
But at least it was over.
She turned to see how the child (Chibi Sailor Drakonia) had been faring in all of this, a part of her feeling relieved that said child had appeared to be sticking close to their little group and to Athalia in particular - and she was pretty sure that she'd seen a rock go hurtling towards the barrier from the direction of where the kid was–
Although Iðavöllr didn't think that it would hurt to make sure, given that she didn't really think that here was really the best place for a child...
Even one with magic.
Well at least she was part assuming and part hoping that the child had magic and wasn't like Serenitatis and herself with a lamp and Christmas tree ornament respectively.
Brown eyes turned towards Serenitatis to see how she had been faring–
And it was at that moment that Iðavöllr found out that she'd perhaps been a bit early resting on her laurels and that maybe she should have waited a bit longer before letting her guard down as a root chose that moment to wrap around her and start to squeeze.
Luckily for her, however a woman in some sort of futuristic outfit with the aura of a Page (Rainier) and black fur on the outfit's shoulders stepped in as did a calico cat with a star on the forehead (Coco) which made her think somewhat of Liryn, stepped in and between the efforts of the two of them they somehow managed to free her–
And a blue-haired senshi (Pherkad) did something that managed to free Serenitatis, who it seemed had also been caught by one of those root things.
There still seemed to be four of the roots left however, one of which was wound around another child (Chibi Sailor Tachibana)–
And whilst this one seemed a little older than the one that seemed to be staying close to their little group (Chibi Sailor Drakonia), she still seemed young enough to be elementary school albeit perhaps in one of the older years.
Iðavöllr, looked around until she could find a slightly bigger stone to the ones that she had been throwing and thenused it to hit part of the root that had wrapped around the child with the kimono-like outfit (Chibi Sailor Tachibana) in the hopes that maybe it would help to encourage said root to let go of the child.

Becrucis looked at the Senshi of Fans with wide-eyed amazement. Ok- perhaps she should have cast a blessing on her instead of using it on herself. Lesson for the learned and something she'd keep in mind for if, or when, they ended up in a fight together again. "Thank you..."
Pherkad nodded in acknowledgment and looked around for someone else who might need help; there were only a few still caught up in the roots but it seemed, at a glance, that there were others already in the process of freeing them.
The Senshi of Blessings, however, turned her attention back to the Page. "Are you- are you ok?" she asked, kind of shaken herself.

Reloading their boltcaster, having actually used it in combat for once, was more difficult than Neryn had anticipated. They'd trained with it, surely, but there wasn't the added level of fighting stress on top of it. Neryn ended up unloading it twice before they finally got it reloaded. Hopefully the upgrades in the future could help with that process...
In doing so, they almost missed Daphne being trapped by a root. "Sailor Daphne! I will assist!" they said, living their boltcaster once again. Neryn aimed for behind where Daphne was held, and fired a shot. It sort of hit a little high with the recoil, but it hit! It was incredibly clear, however, that Neryn needed more training with the boltcaster. They'd transitioned to one after they ended up stranded on Earth, liking the feel of it over the little blaster pistol. They would not admit it, but the blaster pistol also brought back emotions they'd rather not deal with. So the change of weapon was required.

[ Chibi Sailor Drakonia ]
It was like recess but without any playground guards. People were flinging magic, some were hitting the barrier with weapons. Others also through rocks like she did. The fluffy talking cats were doing something to the knight so he didn't attract more bolts of bad. She was content to continue to throw rocks. She wasn't really great for healing but she could stay put and chuck rocks.
To be honest it was a little boring? But it kept her out of trouble, and the older knights and senshi around her seemed to be pleased with that. She would not get in trouble, alright, she wasn't stupid. Drakonia could admit, even if she didn't want to, that it was better to stay back and stay safe, especially if this tree was trying to eat people.
Well this was chaotic as ********. The cats - good grief there were a lot of cats here - were damping the fallen knight's aura, everyone else wailed on the barrier until it broke. The ancestor started to get all monologue-y as they work the barrier, and then the tree itself down. Others healed the core - impressive - and Skoll just did her best to stick with Hati and Asmodeus and not die.
Also the tree was apparently... lonely? Oh no wait, the knight loved, then the man left and did not have great coping mechanisms. Whelp, he gunna learn today!
Then Hati got grabbed by the tree roots and Skoll saw red.
"HATI!" she howled, lunging forward and slamming her full weight into the root with a very animalistic snarl.. The root popped free and she pulled her brother back in case it tried again.
It was not a senshi who came to his aid, nor a knight, at least not at first. Much to his surprise he found roots recoiling, retreating from his form as they were shot. A quick glance towards the one who had aided him confirmed his suspicion and it was with a raised eyebrow that he gave a very slow not of acknowledgement. He'd been saved by one of the Vanguard, he knew what they were, he'd heard what they'd done, and yet several had implored him to give them a chance after all that.
Perhaps there was good in a few of them after all.
Even as the roots continued to retreat another had come to assist him and he gave a quick nod to Silistra. He wasn't much for conversation in these situations, particularly when he had a certain tree to offer his gratitude to, but he would afford each of those who had aided him a measure of recognition.
"Athalia," he replied to the senshi and motioned towards the Chibi behind him. "Would you do me a favour and keep her out of harms way while make arrangements to introduce myself to this overgrown weed?" he muttered darkly.
He didn't wait for an answer, not in those moments, as he turned towards the Vanguardian again.
"I need you to do me a favour," he spoke directly to the man, assuming he could understand him. "If this thing attacks again, I'll be throwing magic at it. I need you to shoot at that magic, ok?" he asked. Oh, he knew that they were all desperately trying to heal something he would much prefer to torch to the ground in this particular instance but he was long passed trusting that even a 'healed' thing could behave themselves after. If that thing got back up again, he was going to smash it apart and bury its knight 6ft under as well.
For now though -
Well he'd let the idealists play heroes and saints like they always loved to do on these occasions...

I think everyone is free now based on disgruntled's rolls but if Athalia needs to smack anything else just say so.
Once again someone had come to her aid, it seemed like every time something was about to bring her to an end there was always another just near by who was willing to assist. In fact, there had been more than one and while the first hadn't been entirely successful, the second had managed to force the roots into retreat and she sucked in a panicked breath.
It was with wild eyes that she looked round, desperate to ensure that her friends were safe. Much to her relief Idavollr had been freed and based on the snarling, dulcet tones of the man nearby it was safe to assume that he had been released as well. Unsurprisingly he didn't sound particularly charitable, but he hadn't really been since he got here.
But now that she was free what did she do?
Idavollr was firmly distracted by beating another root back and as for the peeved Eternal -
"Are you ok?"
She looked towards both Pherkad and Becrucis and gave an uncertain smile. For the most part she was unharmed, she couldn't feel any cuts or bruises, no broken bones, but that didn't mean that her heart wasn't racing.
"I'm ok," she reassured the Senshi of Blessings and sucked in a deep breath. "Or at least I will be," she added as she lifted her lantern to inspect it. It still shone brightly, reminding her of the one true covenant of what it was to be who she was. In darkness one could never lose sight of hope and it was moments like this when people like Pherkad and Becrucis rose up, that proved why this was such a vital lesson.
Though she could assist with the roots, she did speculate over how best she might assist with the Core.
How did one help without their own magic...?
"I don't know what else I can do to help though," she admitted feebly, within convenient earshot of the otherwise exasperated senshi.
"Well, you're on a Wonder where the laws of senshi magic don't appear to play ball," he hazarded and motioned to her relic. "Maybe point your lamp at it and see if, for once, those things are of any use whatsoever other than to look like quaint paperweights," he suggested darkly.
"To purge that much darkness would require more strength than I have though," she pointed softly.
It was at that point that the man did sigh and given one of his more choice stares, one that clearly indicated he would very much like to continue with his 'not polite' stance. Instead he thought better of it has he held out his hand and pressed it to her shoulder. The glowing markings upon his arms rippled, the light more intense - she might not have strength, but he did.
If it worked, a gamble that he was very much doubtful of, then she would be afforded some of what he had to share... But he had to be realistic, Page's had no magic, and their weapons were the definition of useless.
He doubted this would change any time soon.
Yet in those moments as the Eternal's energy passed in to the Page, she did lift her lantern to point it towards the Core. She couldn't do much, but at the very least, she could hope for something...

Idk how a Page heals a tree so here's a hail mary. *cough* (She's signed up as an attack so she can't roll anyway luls)
Acrucis could feel the fatigue start to set in as she cast yet another heal on the code; this one stronger than the last three she'd use in that she was also able to render aid towards the Knight that had brought them here.
Sailor Scout Attack: Prayer of Renew Sailor Acrucis brings her hands together in a prayer motion and whispers her attack after which she holds her hands out in front of her in the direction of an injured individual within 15 feet of where she is standing. Both Acrucis's hands and the individual are bathed in a soft yellow light as a heal over time is cast. Over the next 10 seconds Renew has the ability to fully heal minor cuts, scrapes and bruises and can be cast 3 times without wearing her out. In order to mend a moderate wound it would take 2-3 casts on the same individual but will not fully heal the wound**. Her target must be in front of her or to her sides, it cannot be cast on someone behind her.

Acrucis healing the code she's only got two of these left so please RNG, roll high...
While Daphne was trying to see what effects her magic might or might not be having, she felt something slither up and wrap around her torso. She felt bark. A root, she realized.
In a way, it reminded her of the tree that had grown around her when the Chaos had started growing on her own world, but that had been protective. This one squeezed.
She screamed. She couldn't move.
Then, all at once, Neryn was there. Neryn was helping her.
The root recoiled at the blast of her fellow foreigner's boltcaster, and Daphne squirmed and ducked away from it.
"Thank you," she mouthed at them, but there was little time to say much more than that.
Instead, she turned back towards the tree, and offered her arms up to where she saw the flickering code. "Kinship," she whispered, calling on her magic once more. Then she added, "I'm here for you. Live, okay? Live."

Whilst it had looked like all the roots were gone, Iðavöllr had been a little leery of resting on her laurels this time round–
Although that was perhaps unsurprising given that the last time she had done so had resulted in her being snared by a root in the first place.
It did seem like it was over.
She started to turn towards Serenitatis, who was over by Athalia, only to realise that no the roots were not[/iu] quite as gone as she had been starting to hope.
There was one last root, wrapped around a Knight (Drombeg)–
Or at least one last root that she could see.
And she still didn't have many options - but well stones seemed to have served her well enough when they actually landed and so Iðavöllr had looked around until she found a stone of a similar size to the one that she had used in her attempts to help the child in the kimono-like outfit (Chibi Sailor Tachibana)and then opted to try and bring said stone down on a piece of the root–
And maybe she had used a little more force than she'd thought, but it had seemed to have worked.
"I hope you're okay" she told the Knight (Drombeg), her brown eyes concerned as she hovered for a few moments "Getting caught up in those things was not fun."
Ultimately however she had ended up by Serenitatis, who appeared to still be close to Athalia, although her first words had been for the woman in the futuristic-looking outfit (Rainier).
"I don't think I thanked you for before..." she said. "For helping me back there with that thing- but thank you - I really appreciate it."
Brown eyes turned to Serenitatis and by extension Athalia, although her words were more for Serenitatis "Do you think that it's over this time around?" She asked quietly, and in spite of her attempts to hide it Iðavöllr couldn't help the nervousness that threaded through her words–
And she found herself holding on to the stone as a kind of 'just-in-case' more secret roots started sprouted up and started to try and squeeze people.
Liryn had continued to listen to Yuki as the ethereal figure continued to recount the tale of what had happened in the past, his purplish eyes flickered between concern and sadness–
And maybe a bit of indignance.
A little bit.
He had been more than a little bit indignant when the roots had appeared - especially when two had decided to pick on Iðavöllr and Serenitatis - but it seemed that those gathered had it on hand and so Liryn had settled for staying close to Erytheia in case one of the roots decided to target him instead.
It seemed though, like maybe, just maybe that all of the roots were gone - and Liryn was especially proud of the way that Iðavöllr had smacked that last root because she had been working so hard to try and be a better knight - and he was hoping that all of this would give her more confidence because whilst he had faith in her–
“No one can heal a broken heart on their own, just as I could never seal this Chaos Seed away completely on my own.”
Yuki watched as it looked like the Chaos Seed was finally losing.
“When life returned, the Chaos Seed called again, seeking to not be alone. But now it seeks to break powered hearts, just as its heart was broken. Yet it looks like, perhaps, you may be the ones to banish it for good.”
