Jack nodded when she spoke, "Well you dont have to worry about careers right now, besides, think about it this way, you could write a book or compose an audio book about your life. Think about how interesting a book would be of your situation, woman from the 2000s thrust into the future, so many experiences to see in your life, changed up. I know youre nervous about what is to be but i promise you that this is still your life to live out however you want." He said as he figured she was still uneasy, "Well i personally think that we have had enough fun for today, id imagine that you two would want to get some rest before your trip to venus." He stated as Cody looked at her, wondering if she was tired and wanted to get going.

 Kaylee was happy that someone suggested going home... it was pretty nice to be heading home for once," Couldn't have read my mind better Mr. Carter thanks", she said grabbing up her stuff she turned to cody and headed over to the door, "How fast do cabs get here? Do we have to wait 20 minutes?", she asked she was gonna need to go phone shopping for sure even though cody would be the only person in her contacts maybe she could find a usb port to play off the photos from her families history;

Cody looked at her when she spoke and felt like she could have asked any time to head home. He kind of felt bad since he felt she didnt like being around him since she always seemed distant which for being in a world she wasnt from made sense but he was doing his best. He made sure not to show how he felt as he nodded, "Nah, we just have to head outside and hail one." He stated as he said bye to his dad who saw them off and he called a taxi. They would get into the auto taxi and took it back to his apartment which one home he looked at her, "So are you done for the day or want to do anything else before tomorrow?" He asked curiously to her.

Kaylee yawned ,"Im tired cody I need some rest", she said, leaning her head against his shoulder feeling exhuasted ,"I'm glad we didn't have to wait for a cab... sometimes they could take forever to get to you...", she said quietly remember her past as if it was thousands of years ago but it felt like it... When they finally reached the apartment she was already dozing so he would either have to carry her up or poke her awake to get her to start moving.

Cody noticed she was tired, it had been a long day for her and as the taxi landed on the roof platform, he wanted be nice and carry her but he felt that she would be questioned if some camera happy follower saw him carrying her to his apartment. He gently poked her awake and had helped her walk back to his apartment, which he helped her to her bedroom, "Get some rest Kaylee, you deserve it." He said kindly to her as he would go to his room but as he got into the room, he noticed something was different. He looked around but couldnt put his finger on it, but nothing appeared missing or disturbed. He got ready for bed, but as he did that, their was movement in his room and out his open door. As Kaylee got ready for bed, when she would go lay down, her door cracked a bit before closing quietly. It probably wouldnt have helped that Cody said, "Goodnight to make it seem like he opened it to say such. As the lights went out and she laid down to rest in bed, something seemed wrong, the feeling of being watched seemed present. It wasnt long til something felt like it was on her bed, before a light weight was on her chest, which if Kaylee opened her eyes, she would find multiple tiny red eyes staring at her, and in the low light of the room, it could be seen that it was some kind of mechnical spider, about the size of ones hand from wrist to fingers in width. And about 3inchs in height, its head tilted sideways curiously, staring her down as it seemed to move closer to her.

Kaylee jerked her head up ,"3219!", she quoted one of the monster incorporated lines from her childhood feeling a hand guide her out of the car ,"Oh we are home", she barely managed to walk but with codys help it jsut seemed he was helping her up the stairs and towards the elevator... finally they would arrive in the apartment where she managed to hit the bed with a soft thud she dozed for a few more minutes before dragging herself to the showers.. one long shower and some pajama's later she would crawl into bed and get adjusted to this new bed that kept her at the perfect temperature.... She would slowly awaken her eyes to the mechanical spider before screaming in fear and fling her cover back knocking the contraption to the floor ,"HELP HELP HELP", she started pounding on the door banging on it as if she forgot how the thing opened or worked ,'ITS GONNA EAT ME!!'.

Cody didnt know why she said a random string of numbers (that ironically was on tv upon reading this) but would do a search later about it. As he got into bed, he was about to fall asleep when she screamed and began calling for help. As she began banging on the door, he jumped from his bed, ran to her room and opened her door, pressing the open button only to find her fist coming through hitting him in the face making him stumble back, "Ow!" He groaned stumbling back, she got him in the cheek but didnt hit too hard. He saw her rush out but found that something was scurring on the floor and he sighed, "Mia... what are you doing?" He asked as the little robot spider scurred out looking at Kaylee before looking at him, "Big brother, who is this girl and why did she scream and hit you?" She asked as he then remembered something, "Thats right, i put you on system shutdown for a diagnostic and update." He said rubbing his cheek. He called Mia over as she scurried over to him, climbed up his pant pajamas, up his shirt and had perched on his shoulder, "Mia, this is Kaylee, our guest and a woman who just woke up from a cryopod i found in the old city ruins. Shes from the year 2020. Kaylee, this is Mia, which states for Micro Integrated AI, shes an interface droid i built during my school for AI studies. Shes still learning about personal space and not bothering people while sleeping." He said firmly at the end as she lowered her head like a child be scolded, "Sorry big brother... sorry Kaylee." The mechnical spider spoke in a voice tone that sounded like a young female, maybe between the age of 10-15.

[funny i got the #'s backwards its 2319 XD but... LMAO] Kaylee managed to get rescued out of the damn room and stood shaking in the hallway as cody introduced to him the little spider robot girl in which he built back in school ,"W..aa..a..a...Waa...aa..a..a", she tried to speak her pulse was racing her body was trembling she felt like she was to jittery and scared to even think or know what that thing was but it scared the living sh*t out of her and she needed to calm down, she sensed him moving towards her and she jumped back, "NO NO NO NO NO NO!!", she said really loudly rushing into the living room and locking herself into the guest bathroom.

Cody saw her jump back before rushing to hide in the guest bathroom as he sighed, "Mia, can you please go to my room." He stated more as a request then a question as Mia nodded, "Yes brother." She stated as he crouched and held his arm to the floor as she scurried down and across the floor to his door which opened and closed. He sighed and walked over, knocking on the door, "Kaylee, you can come out now, Mia is in my room and wont hurt you, shes perfectly safe, and overly curious. Shes a learning AI, hence why she sounds like a child. Trust me, i wanted to work with either the british male voice to make a hovering drone or the sultry adult female to make a hologram image ai but unfortunately they got taken before i could get to them. And i wanted to keep the drone small so i found the best idea and built the spider. I assume you are afraid of spiders arent you?" He asked through the bathroom door.

Kaylee found herself blasting out of the bathroom blowing up on, "NO I'M NOT AFRAID OF SPIDERS", she yelled ,"But when I'm woken up in the middle of the night in a strange place that is just barely starting to feel like home and then some creepy metal thing with red eyes comes crawling all over me and hoveriong over me in the dark and waking me the hell up and causing me to nearly have a heart attack", she sucked in a huge breathe before bantering ,"IT WAS SCARY OKAY!", she then stood there huffing her face red her body lanague obviously tense and trying to calm herself from the trauma and dealing with all this futuristic stuff in such a short period of time.

Cody found that she opened the door and began yelling at him, and how he didnt move as she said that but he sighed, "First off, i get that it was scary, im sorry, second, i know that you barely see this as your home. I know youre in a foreign place far from everything you know and im trying to help as best i can. I forgot about Mia, she has the curiousity of a child and yelling right now is making her feel like you hate her for making the tiny mistake of what just happened." He stated firmly but seemed annoyed, "Im doing the best i can to help you ease into this new world but lets be honest, im not a people person, im doing the best i can to help you but im still stuck on the fact that youre yelling at me when ive done nothing but help. I dont want anything in return because i feel bad for you, no home, family and friends gone save for the ones you met on the moon. Not only that but if i hadnt found you your pod was about 5-10 years before the power supply failed so i reassure myself that you didnt die out there in the ruins." He said having let that info slipped without realizing it.

Kaylee's jaw dropped she would have died...? She would have just died like that without knowing anything having slept for 300 years but ended up dying because she got herself caught up in that thing and right now she wans't sure how she felt about that.. grateful that he saved her from dying or hate him for not letting her die in the first place she found herself clamming up as she said in a hushed voice ,"I guess you regret it then huh?", she shouldered past him and went to her room shutting the door and setting it to locked she didn't want to hear an apology or talk to him or anything she just wanted to crawl back in bed and try to figure out what could have happened to her if she had died or if she had lived.

Cody looked at her as she clamed up, which when she spoke and shouldered him, she would have her shoulder be sore since she would have hit her shoulder against his metal arm. He sighed as he realized what he said, but as her door closed he walked to his room and saw that Mia was about to talk, "Not a word Mia, im not in the mood and this is why i dont deal with people, machines are so much more simplier." He said to himself as he looked at his robotic hands, sighing as he laid back in his bed before waving his hand, activating the holographic screen he had in his arm interface. He began looking some things up on the internet as Mia scurried over and rested on the other pillow, going into standby mode after folding up its legs, looking like a oval metal ball. He hadnt meant to let it slip but he had and he hated that Kaylee was made at him.

Kaylee found herself remaining silently curled up for the rest of the night and when the morning came and all the technology let her know by opening the screens to let in natural light the alarm system giving a soft reminder and then the feeling of the bed losing its comforting warmth she sat up and felt exhausted she got together one of the outfits she bought she had to go buy a phone today and figure out everything between having her doctor's number to the banks information... to trying to contact the colleges and see about scholarships for a degree... she parted her hair and fishtail braided it to one side before slipping into her shoes and headed out of the room she didn't even head to the kitchen as she called, "I'm heading out.", she was nervous and scared but she didn't want to show that to cody and she was still upset with him it was probably better if they take the full day and cool off from one another after all she has been rather crazy with him lately and he was just defending himself by getting yelled at but she supposed he was taking this in as best as any introvert could she didn't understand what it was like not to have friends and have a horrible accident happen to you; She found herself thinking about the last 2 days in her head... it was a crazy mess this was day 3 and she had to prepare herself no sooner had she left the apartments and got in her car to head to the bank did she get flagged by paparzzi, "Hello are you Kaylee Morgans?! Can you answer a few question for us!", she was still abit unsettled by the whole situation about the other night at the carter hosuehold so she told him ,"I am heading off to shop for more clothes and hopefully a phone today ive only been awake for 3 days now..", the man was already recording everything as it began to type into a system, "I know you wish for an interview.. but I need a business card or something..", she said holding out her hand the man gave her a strange look, "Business... card...", he said puzzled she waved her hand, "I have to get my finances tooken care of excuse me!", she said entering the bank while the man tried to walk behind her ,"Miss Morgans reconsider having an interview with us mainstream right now is that you do it live over the tv!", a camera was already videoing ,"I'm not sure how laws have been over the past several years but during my time period you can't take a video or voice recording of me without consent it was on lines of being sued", she told the man whose face dropped and he appeared angry ,"If you will excuse me I need to go in here and talk with my financial adviser!", she said rather stubbornly as she went into the bank.

Cody was still annoyed when he woke up the next morning, hearing her say she was going out, which he figured she wanted some time away from him but he shrugged and sat up, "Whatever..." he sighed as Mia 'woke up' from standby mode and looked at him, "Arent you going to go help her?" Mia asked innocently as Cody huffed, "Why should i? Ive been trying to but shes stubborn and annoying, every time i try helping, she doesnt seem to appreciate it. Its not like ive lost people and been in an unchangable situation." He grumbled annoyed as he went to get something to eat in the kitchen. Mia scurried and followed behind him and climbed up onto the counter as his holographic interface opened, a bar flashing as he clicked it, and Kaylee Morgan flashed, seemed live footage was grabbed of her at the bank. He quickly turned it off, which Mia turned her head, "Shouldnt you watch, she might need help." She said innocently, but he scoffed, "Yeah well if she wants my help, she can come apologize because im not going to help and continue to be treated like some nobody to be stepped on." He said annoyed, he was just trying to help knowing she was lost but she acted like he did this all on purpose or he felt she was pushing this on him like it was all his fault, thats how he saw it though.
