Noah blinked. “I don’t know,” he said. “I didn’t think it was particularly important. We were focusing on marriage and getting a home. Maybe starting a family. It never seemed like the right time to bring it up.”
He reached his hand to Dea’s, grasping her’s and giving it a squeeze. “I’m alright, love,” he assured. “You got to me in time.”

"I suppose that is true, but would have been nice to know I wasn't alone in that. I guess I know now, huh? And no, it isn't alright, I could have lost you all because they had to make you jump through hoops. If I could have sparred you, I would have,"Dea spoke softly.

Noah was touched by Dea’s concern, but he shook his head. “No,” he said, just as softly, “I did all this to spare you. I couldn’t let them hurt you, Dea. You’re such a beautiful person, and your abilities would have been used for horrible things.”

"You are a wonderful person yourself and what they put you through..it..it shouldn't have happened. You were just protecting me,"she whispered, reaching over to hug him. She winced in pain, but only because it seemed this had brought what was left of her memories.

When Dea reached over to hug Noah, he did what he’d wanted to do since he’d laid eyes on her. He kissed her. He loved her more than anything in the world, and he knew she remembered most of their time together. “It was worth it,” he said.
“I kept you safe.”

Dea was taken by surprise for a moment, when she found their lips pressed together. She got over it, however, as she returned the kiss of her beloved Noah. It had been so long since last they were this close, she hadn't realized ho much she missed this.
"I guess I can't argue with that,"she admitted.

She must have remembered, she was returning the kiss! “I thought you’d see it that way,” he said, and captured her lips again. He let this kiss linger, content to stay in this closeness with his wife. “I’ve missed you, Dea,” he said.

"Though I still wish you hadn't gotten hurt like this. And I didn't even remember, I feel bad about it,"she whispered. She didn't have time to say much else, before her lips were claimed again. She placed her hands gently on his shoulders, enjoying the kiss.

“Don’t feel bad about it,” Noah said. “You couldn’t help it.” She couldn’t have remembered. He didn’t blame her. He did wrap his arms around her waist, though, and offered her a smile when the kiss broke.
“Stay with me tonight?” He asked.

Dea sighed softly, wishing they could go back and do things differently. However, she knows that they just have to keep moving forward and make the best of now. And it seemed that was what Noah had in mind as he pulled her closer to him.
"I can definitely do that,"she nodded.

Noah seemed glad for Dea’s company, as he turned awkwardly onto his side to look at her. He seemed to think that if she went out of sight she’d disappear. Like she wasn’t real. “Good,” he said.

"Hey, don't give me that look! I know you are worried, but I assure you, I really exist. It is me, you aren't dreaming or hallucinating. When I do this..it is real,"she told him, kissing his lips.

Noah let out a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding. She was real. His hallucinations had never been so clear. His dreams were never this pleasant. “You’re real,” he said, returning the kiss.
She was real, and she was his. And she remembered him!

Dea saw him relax, which made her feel a lot better knowing he wasn't stressing. As he kissed her back, a soft smile played in her mind, it had been too long since she had been able to do this.
"Yes, I am real, I told you that I was. They really got into your head if you thought I wasn't,"she teased.

They had gotten into his head. Noah swallowed, just watching her for a long moment. "I never thought I'd see you again," he admitted, quietly. He'd been alone so long, he never thought he'd be back home. He gave her a squeeze. "I missed you."
