Curses! She still wasn't fast enough. Grumbling, she resolved to come back the next day. Her luck would have to improve eventually. Perhaps she could read her fortune, to see if she'd improve.

Eyzaak was off to a good start, now the question was he prepared to actually catch a snowflake and make the run to the judge for inspection? He wasn't so sure, but he was bound to find out in a matter of no time. The large dusting of snow powered his face. The collection on his bare skin made him shiver. Eyzaak looked pretty excited however the second a decent sized snowflake landed on his tongue. Aww yeah! He had a chance!

The fact he had a snowflake on his tongue was utterly ridiculous! Eyzaak, however, felt a rush of adrenaline as he turned and made his way in a quick little waddle towards the judges. He had to focus on not closing his mouth..or ruining the snowflake. Determined to have something to show, he purposely waved his hands a bit to get the brownbloods attention. In the sparkling glow of wintery night, Eyzaak couldn't remember feeling so at ease. Excitement shone in the young boy's eyes. This snowflake on his tongue was NO joke! He had been as delicate as possible, something that didn't come easily to the reckless hot-headed blueblood.

Oh gog. He had managed to not crash on the last run. The finesse of the course had caused him to not to perform as well as he could have..but in all reality, he had never been on a pair of skiis before today. Stryke still was wondering whether he was going to end up crashing. As if to add further complications to his already bewildered, overwhelmed state...it looked like he was far from completing the course. Why had he come up the damn mountainside and allowed some strange troll to push him?!
As he rushed down the slope, he came to realize very quickly he was not out of the woods yet. In fact, a whole god damn forest was before him. It was like a sea of trees, and endless expanse really. Just WHO in their gog damn MIND would put a whole forest on a skii course!
The worst part? He was heading right for them. His eyes widened as he began to duck and weave, trying to avoid the trees like he would any normal training lesson. His balance on the skies for lack of better words was lacking. He wobbled dangerously as he whizzed past trees. Keeping low, he prayed silently he would make it out of this. He still had so much to do..this was not how he wanted to go! Stryke kept bobbing and weaving, going for a serpentine-like escape pattern and behavior in hopes of making it out on the other side.

As they moved further down, an enormous expanse of trees came into view. Eyzaak nearly felt his jaw fly off when his mouth opened. The cold, icy winds biting at his face didn't help anything either. Oh, CRAP what the heck was he going to do? Panicking for a moment, Eyzaak realized..he could think of it like a new training lesson? Maybe if he ducked and weaved with the trees, he could wrap them up into his performance?
"A..AHHH!!! H..hey..this is getting a little crazy! Heads up Trev!" he called to Trevel with concern, before his focus was pulled back to the race course to take care of his own self.

Current Score: 2 Quella barreled down the hill, finally managing to bring herself to face forward again. She was pretty sure she'd never actually gone this fast before, especially in the dead of winter. Maybe she should make herself some skis for her home woods. They certainly seemed as though they could give her a leg up on the huge woolbeasts that migrated through. As Quella thought about it momentarily, a grove of trees began to crest the horizon. The blueblood's eyes widened as she held her spear at the ready. She certainly wasn't' steady enough on the rickety things to avoid the trees entirely. Maybe she could ward them off with her spear, if she was lucky? Not sure what that would do to her weapon display, but maybe using her weapon in a real dangerous situation would pay off. She spun the spear, preparing to fly deep into the woods. This was gonna hurt. The hunter zigzagged desperately through threes, just barely managing to keep her feet. A single slip and she was pretty much done for. Quella dug her spear into trees again and again, just enough to divert herself so she missed the next one by bare inches. Finally, after what seemed like hours, she flew free into fresh white powder, panting and gasping.

Not too bad. It was still... mostly standing. Probably something to do with the nice, thick, slippery sheet of ice that had formed all over the damn thing. She knocked her prong against it, and it felt pretty sturdy. Nice. Well, if that was the way this was gonna go, she might as well keep with it. Ice seemed to at least keep the tourists out, and that was pretty much all she was looking for. The hunter packed down some more snow in an attempt to fix the areas that had tumbled, and then re-wetted the parts that looked slightly melty. Hopefully it would be cold enough to freeze again even thicker this time.

Ganyma made it to his ice hive and it was completely tranpled, the ice sheets that has frozen im his absence shattered. In fact, it looked a lot like fans had carved out pieces of his foundation. Not deterred, however, the tealblood got back to work. It would be a hard and laborious process, but Ganyma began setting up more bricks of snow. When his time was up for the day, he sprinkled some sparkly goodness on top - just to keep up pleasant appearances. There was no use looking like he was down and out now! Rather the opposite- there was nowhere he could go but up!

Yesterday had worked in her favor, even if it was been hectic. But that made it challenging. Maybe it was some of the experience of SSA coming through, of risks and reward systems, maybe it was from having spent too long in her typical routines. Maybe it was too much of Lupos's steady relaxed pace driving her to seek something a bit more engaging.
There would be time to analyze the decision later. Tsarzi saw nothing wrong with taking time to learn a skill, and would often recommend it before testing your mettle at it, but she felt she should have enough different experiences backing her to get soemthign interesting out of the exercsise.
So she headed for the trees, aiming to duck and weave and twist her way through.

"Oh right! The snowflake game!" Nucleo paused as he walked the main path once more. Heading over, he joined the participants once more to enjoy a little lighthearted fun. Looking up to the sky once more, his face flushed green from the cold temperature and he felt more awake than he had at the start of the night! It was invigorating!

"Glack!" The greenblood sputtered a bit when he caught a rather large snowflake on his tongue. It seemed a better chance than the last one he'd tried to bring over. Carefully he kept his head tilted at an angle while he started to make his way over towards the judges. Nucleo briefly wondered if this game felt as weird to judge as it did to play. It couldn't be pleasant to look in the mouth of the many trolls that dropped by to play each night!
